Abstract
Description
た、厚さの上限も特に制限されず、例えば、約1mm以下、約200μm以下、190μm以下、180μm以下、170μm以下、160μm以下または150μm以下であり得る。
下、70μm以下、65μm以下、60μm以下、55μm以下、50μm以下、45μm以下、40μm以下、35μm以下、30μm以下、25μm以下、20μm以下、15μm以下、10μm以下または約5μm以下であり得る。
樹脂組成物の粘度は、流変物性測定機(ARES)を使って常温で0.01〜10.0/sまでのせん断速度(shear rate)条件で測定した。実施例で言及した粘度はせん断速度2.5/sの地点での粘度であり、せん断速度が1.0/sである地点と10.0/sである地点での粘度の比を通じてTI(thixotropic index)を定めることができる。
樹脂組成物としては、2液型ウレタン系接着剤組成物を使った。主剤組成物として、前記化学式2で表示されるカプロラクトン系ポリオールとして、繰り返し単位の数(化学式2のm)が約1〜3程度の水準であり、ポリオール由来単位(化学式2のY)として、エチレングリコールとプロピレングリコール単位を含むポリオールを含む主剤組成物(粘度:約350,000〜400,000cP、常温、2.5/sせん断速度基準)を使用し、硬化剤組成物(粘度:約270,000〜300,000cP、常温、2.5/sせん断速度基準)としては、ポリイソシアネート(HDI、Hexamethylene diisocyanate、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート)を含む組成物を使った。前記樹脂組成物にはフィラーとして、揺変性を確保するために、炭酸カルシウムを前記主剤および硬化剤組成物合計固形分100重量部対比約280重量部程度の重量比率となるように、主剤および硬化剤組成物に同量で分割配合した。樹脂層の形成には前記主剤および硬化剤組成物を当量を合わせて配合して使った。実施例で記述された主剤および硬化剤組成物の粘度は、フィラーが配合された状態での粘度である。
図2のような形状のモジュールケースとして、アルミニウムで製造された下部板、側壁および上部板を有するモジュールケースを使った。前記モジュールケースの下部板の内側面には、バッテリーセルの装着をガイドするガイディング部が形成されており、前記モジュールケースの下部板の中心部には図4に示したように、樹脂組成物の注入のための注入口50aが一定の間隔で形成されており、末端には観察ホール50bが形成されている。モジュールケース内にバッテリーパウチを複数個積層したパウチの束を収納した。引き続き、前記モジュールケースの上面に上部板を覆った。その後、図9に示したように下部板100aの注入口500を覆うようにテープ600を付着し、中心部に小さい切れ目を入れて図12に示したような補助部を形成した。前記でテープ600としては、厚さが約30μm〜約50μm程度であるPET(poly(ethylene terephthalate)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート)基材フィルムの一面にアクリル粘着剤が形成されているテープを使った。
テープを付着せず、すぐに注入装置を使って樹脂組成物を注入したことを除いては、実施例1と同じ方式でバッテリーモジュールを製造した。その結果、図1に記載されたような逆吐出現象が観察された。このため、前記逆吐出された樹脂組成物を溶剤で除去する過程で、樹脂組成物内のフィラーによってケースの表面が研がれてケースの表面が黒く変わる現象が観察されたし、その除去にも20分以上の時間が遂行された
実施例1と同様にしてテープを付着するものの、そのテープにはあらかじめ孔を注入口の形状に合わせて打ち抜き、打ち抜かれた孔が注入口に合うようにテープを付着した。すなわち、前記例示ではテープが注入口を覆っていない状態であった。このような方式によっても注入口の周囲に依然として残存する樹脂組成物が観察されたし、これを除去する過程で、同様に樹脂組成物内のフィラーによってケースの表面が研がれてケースの表面が黒く変わる現象が観察された。また、比較例1に比べて残存する樹脂組成物の量が少なかったため除去に時間は短縮されたが、それも10分程度の時間が必要とされた。

Claims (12)
- 下部板と側壁によって内部空間が形成されており、前記下部板または側壁には注入口が形成されているモジュールケース;前記内部空間に存在する複数のバッテリーセル;および前記バッテリーセルと接触しながら前記下部板または側壁と接触している樹脂層を含むバッテリーモジュールの製造方法であって、
前記下部板または側壁の注入口を覆うようにテープを付着する段階;樹脂組成物の注入装置が前記テープを貫通して前記注入口に装着されるように、前記注入装置を装着する段階;および装着された注入装置で樹脂組成物を注入する段階を含む、バッテリーモジュールの製造方法。 - 注入口は、側壁または下部板の全体の長さの1/4〜3/4地点に形成されている、請求項1に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 注入口を覆うように付着されるテープは、ポリエステルフィルム、アクリルフィルム、ポリオレフィンフィルム、紙、セルロース系ポリマーフィルム、ポリスチレンフィルムまたはポリカーボネート系フィルムを含む、請求項1または2に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 注入口を覆うように付着されているテープには注入口に比べて小さい大きさの貫通補助部が形成されているか、前記テープを注入口に付着した後に前記貫通補助部を形成する段階をさらに遂行する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 注入装置を貫通補助部に向けて注入口に装着する、請求項4に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 樹脂組成物の注入は、内部空間に複数のバッテリーセルが存在する状態で遂行する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 樹脂組成物の注入後にテープを除去する工程をさらに遂行する、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 注入される樹脂組成物の常温粘度は2.5/sせん断速度で400cP以下である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 樹脂組成物は常温硬化型樹脂組成物である、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 樹脂組成物は、アクリル系樹脂、エポキシ系樹脂、ウレタン系樹脂、オレフィン系樹脂、EVA系樹脂またはシリコン系樹脂である樹脂成分を含むか、または前記樹脂のうちいずれか一つ以上の前駆体を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 樹脂組成物はフィラーをさらに含む、請求項10に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
- 樹脂組成物は、樹脂成分または前駆体100重量部対比50〜2,000重量部の範囲内のフィラーを含む、請求項11に記載のバッテリーモジュールの製造方法。
