- 前記複合水応答性安全層が金属粉末を更に含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記金属粉末は、ビスマス(0)(Bi)、銅(0)(Cu)、鉄(0)(Fe)、インジウム(0)(In)、鉛(0)(Pb)、ニッケル(0)(Ni)、マグネシウム(0)(Mg)、水銀(0)(Hg)、銀(0)(Ag)、スズ(0)(Sn)、亜鉛(0)(Zn)、これらの合金、及び、これらの任意の組み合わせから成るグループから選択される、請求項4に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記少なくとも1つの極の外面と接触する金属層を更に備える、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記金属層は、負極(前記バッテリーのアノードに対応する)と接触しており、ビスマス(0)(Bi)、インジウム(0)(In)、鉛(0)(Pb)、水銀(0)(Hg)、スズ(0)(Sn)、亜鉛(0)(Zn)、これらの合金、及び、これらの任意の組み合わせから成るグループから選択される金属を含む、請求項6に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記複合水応答性安全層は、ポリエチレングリコール(PEG)、ポリ酢酸ビニル(PVAc)、ポリエチレンオキシド(PEO)、ポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)、及び、これらの組み合わせから選択されるポリマーを含み、前記金属塩が硫酸銅(CuSO4)を含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記複合水応答性安全層は、前記複合水溶性安全層の総重量に基づいて、好ましくは少なくとも5重量%の量の亜鉛(Zn)粒子を含む、請求項8に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記硫酸銅は、前記複合水応答性安全層の総重量に基づいて、少なくとも5重量%の量で存在する、請求項8に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記複合水応答性安全層は、安定剤、ポロゲン、及び、これらの組み合わせから選択される添加剤を更に含む、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリー。
- 正極が絶縁ガスケットによって前記負極から電子的に分離され、前記複合水応答性安全層が前記絶縁ガスケットに隣接して位置され、前記複合水応答性安全層が前記正極(バッテリーのカソードに対応する)と前記負極(バッテリーのアノードに対応する)との間で延びて前記正極及び前記負極の両方と接触する、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記複合水応答性安全層は、前記正極と前記負極との間で、前記正極及び前記負極の少なくとも一方の外周にわたって連続的に延在する、請求項12に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記複合水応答性安全層は、前記正極と前記負極との間で、前記正極及び前記負極の少なくとも一方の外周の一部にわたって延在する、請求項12に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記バッテリーは、AAAA、AAAバッテリー、AAバッテリー、Bバッテリー、Cバッテリー、Dバッテリー、9Vバッテリー、CR2バッテリー、CR123Aバッテリー、1/3Nバッテリー、ボタンセル、及び、コインセルから選択される、請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記複合水応答性膜が、ポリ酢酸ビニル、硫酸銅、及び、炭酸銅を含む、請求項1から15のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリー。
- 前記複合水応答性膜がポリエチレンオキシドを更に含む、請求項16に記載のバッテリー。
- 第1及び第2の極を備えるバッテリーハウジングを用意するステップと、
組成物が前記第1及び第2の極のうちの少なくとも一方に隣接するように前記極間に組成物を堆積させることによって前記バッテリーハウジングの前記第1及び第2の極間に複合水応答性安全層を形成するステップであって、前記組成物がポリマー材料及び少なくとも1つの金属塩を含み、前記複合水応答性安全層が水溶液との接触時に電子非伝導状態から電子伝導状態へと変化するようになっている、ステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記ポリマー材料は、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリエチレンオキシド、ポリアクリル酸、ポリアクリレート、ポリビニルアルコール及び改質ポリビニルアルコール、水溶性アクリレートコポリマー、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルエステル、プルラン、ゼラチン、ヒドロキシルプロピルメチルセルロース(HPMC)、低粘度グレードのヒドロキシプロピルセルロース、多糖類、水溶性天然ポリマー、改質デンプン、前述のコポリマー、及び、前述のいずれかの組み合わせを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記複合水応答性安全層は、ポリエチレングリコール、硫酸銅粉末、及び、亜鉛粒子の混合物を含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記複合水応答性安全層は、ポリエチレングリコール(PEG)、ポリ酢酸ビニル(PVAc)、ポリエチレンオキシド、及び、これらの組み合わせから選択されるポリマーを含み、前記金属塩が硫酸銅(CuSO4)を含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 組成物を堆積させる前に、前記負極上に亜鉛金属の少なくとも1つのドットを堆積させるステップを更に含む、請求項18から21のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記複合水応答性膜が、ポリ酢酸ビニル、硫酸銅、及び、炭酸銅を含む、請求項18から22のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記複合水応答性膜がポリエチレンオキシドを更に含む、請求項23に記載の方法。
