Abstract
Description
(a)前記動物の皮を、一般式(I)の少なくとも1つのジアルデヒドを含む第1のなめし浴と接触させて配置すること、
O=CH−(CH)n−HC=O・・・(I)
式中、nは、0または1〜8の範囲の整数であり、前記なめし浴は、1〜5の範囲のpHを有し;
(b)なめし浴のpHを5より高く8未満のpHにすること;
(c)第2のまたはさらなるなめし浴を使用して、前記ステップ(b)からの前記皮に対して、前記ステップ(a)および(b)を1回以上繰り返すこと;
前記第1、第2およびさらなるなめし浴は、界面活性剤を実質的に含まない。
重量範囲11〜13のバッチに含まれる第1のオランダ産の子牛の生皮(漬物)に、本発明の方法に従ってなめし処理を施した。
・水、
・1.5%のグルタルアルデヒド、
・pH=3
・9ボーメ度(塩化ナトリウムの添加による)。
・Tc=90℃、
・厚さ1.7mm、
・約2.2ft2/kgに等しいプロセスの面積歩留まり。
例1の皮と同じバッチに含まれる第2のオランダ産の子牛の生皮に、例1で記載したのと同じなめし処理を施した。この第2の皮について、例1で観察したプロセスのTc、皮の厚さおよび面積歩留まりの同じ結果が得られた。これは、先の発明によるプロセスの結果の再現性を実証している。
比較のために、実施例1で使用したオランダ産の子牛の生皮に、従来のクロムなめし処理を施した。
・Tc=100℃、
・厚さ1.3mm
・約1.9ft2/kgに等しいプロセスの面積歩留まり。
Claims (10)
- 動物の皮をなめす方法であって、
(a)前記動物の皮を、一般式(I)の少なくとも1つのジアルデヒドを含む第1のなめし浴と接触させて配置すること、
O=CH−(CH)n−HC=O・・・(I)
式中、nは、0または1〜8の範囲の整数であり、前記なめし浴は、1〜5の範囲のpHを有し;
(b)前記なめし浴のpHを5より高く8未満のpHにすること;
(c)第2のまたはさらなるなめし浴を使用して、前記ステップ(b)からの前記皮に対して、前記ステップ(a)および(b)を1回以上繰り返すこと;
を含み、
前記第1、第2およびさらなるなめし浴は、界面活性剤を実質的に含まない、動物の皮をなめす方法。 - 前記一般式(I)のジアルデヒドが、前記皮の裸皮の重量に対して0.1重量%〜30重量%、好ましくは0.5%〜15%の量で、前記第1および第2のなめし浴中に存在する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(b)における前記なめし浴のpHが、5.5以上7.5以下の値、好ましくは6以上7以下の値にされる、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記一般式(I)のジアルデヒドが、グリオキサール、マロン酸ジアルデヒド、コハク酸ジアルデヒド、グルタルジアルデヒド、アジピン酸ジアルデヒド、ピメリン酸ジアルデヒドおよびそれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記一般式(I)のジアルデヒドが、グルタルジアルデヒドである、先行請求項に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(a)の処理が、1〜7時間、好ましくは1.5〜4時間の期間を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ステップ(a)の前記なめし浴と前記動物の皮との重量パーセント比が、20%〜1000%、好ましくは50%〜600%である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記一般式(I)のジアルデヒドと異なるなめし剤を用いたなめし処理を含まない、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記動物の皮が、ウシ皮、ヒツジ皮、ヤギ皮および爬虫類皮から選択される、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記動物の皮が、ウシ皮、好ましくは子牛の皮または乳児子牛の皮である、先行請求項に記載の方法。
