前記少なくとも1つの排気弁のブレーキ運動をアクティブ化するステップと、
前記吸気流路又は前記排気流路のうちの少なくとも一方に設けられた少なくとも1つの空気流管理装置を用いて、前記吸気流路における逆流を管理するステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記空気流管理装置が、前記吸気流路及び前記排気流路と連通した排気ガス再循環弁を含み、前記排気ガス再循環弁が、定常状態のエンジン・ブレーキ動作中は前記吸気流路と前記排気流路との間に第1のレベルの連通を提供し、前記吸気流路における逆流を管理するステップが、
前記少なくとも1つの排気弁の前記メイン・イベント運動が非アクティブ化されるまでに、前記吸気流路と前記排気流路との間の連通を前記第1のレベルの連通よりも拡大するよう前記排気ガス再循環弁を制御するステップをさらに含む、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記空気流管理装置が、前記吸気流路に設けられた吸気スロットル弁を備え、前記吸気スロットルが、定常状態のエンジン・ブレーキ動作中は前記吸気流路に第1のレベルの流量を提供し、前記吸気流路における逆流を管理するステップが、

前記少なくとも1つの排気弁の前記メイン・イベント運動が非アクティブ化されるまでに、前記吸気流路におけるブースト圧力を前記第1のレベルのブースト圧力よりも減少させるよう前記タービンを制御するステップをさらに含む、
