前記第3の光および前記第4の光は、赤外放射範囲において異なるピーク波長を有する、装置が提供される。
特に近赤外(NIR)放射線を放射する、PCLEDのような装置を含む。記載の簡略化のため、赤外放射線は、「光」と称される。NIR放射PCLEDは、例えば、NIR分光法のような、いかなる好適な目的にも使用することができる。
(a)GeサイトにCr3+を有する、La3GaGe5O16:Cr のような、ドーパント用の2以上の置換位置を有する、規則構造で構成された結晶化蛍光体材料、
(b)Si4+およびGa3+が統計的に同じ格子サイトを占める、La3Ga5-ySiO14:Cryのような、異なる結晶タイプが異なる放射チャネルを介して発光する、固溶体または混合結晶タイプの蛍光体、または
(c)GeO2−Al2O3−LaF3−LiF−Cr2O3フッ化ゲルマネートタイプのガラスのような、ガラスもしくはアモルファス材料
により行われてもよい。
0.995LiAl3N4:Eu0.005のような、M1-xLiAl3N4:Eux(M=Ba,Sr,Ca)である。これらは、BaおよびCaが特定の格子サイトを占める、UCr4C4構造タイプの規則構造異形に結晶化してもよい。同様の規則化異形は、RbNaLi6Si2O8のような酸化物において、知られている。(Ba0.5Ca0.5)1-xLiAl3N4:Euxでは、〜630nmにおいて、BaサイトのEuの狭小バンド放射が観測され、波長700nm超において、CaサイトのEuのNIR放射が観測される。
(5wt%)の追加のガーネットタイプの蛍光体が、シリコーン中で、1.6wt%のCa0.985SiAlN:Eu0.015および93.4wt%のLa3Ga4.98SiO14:Cr0.02と混合され、青色放射LEDダイ(444nm放射)に設置される。
4.805gの酸化ランタン(Auer Remy,4N)、4.589gの酸化ガリウム(Alfa,5N)、0.0149gの酸化クロム(III)(Alfa,99%)、0.591gのヒュームドシリカ(Evonik)、および0.1 gのホウ酸(Aldrich)の開始材料を、エタノール中で混合し、100℃で乾燥させ、一酸化炭素下、1300℃で4時間焼成した。ボールミル処理の後、粉末を水洗し、乾燥後、ふるい分けした。単相のLa3Ga4.98SiO14:Cr0.02が得られた。図8は、合成されたLa3Ga4.98SiO14:Cr0.02のX線回折(XRD)パターンであり、カルシウムガロゲルマネート構造における結晶化で、a0=8.163Å、c0=5.087Åである。
9.8182gの酸化ランタン(Auer Remy,4N)、8.4354gの酸化ガリウム(Molycorp,UHPグレード)、0.0314gの酸化クロム(III)(Alfa,99%)、1.208 gのヒュームドシリカ(Evonik)、0.5136gのアルミナ(Baikowski)、および0.2005gのホウ酸(Aldrich)の開始材料を、エタノール中で混合し、100℃で乾燥させ、一酸化炭素下、1320℃で4時間焼成し、形成ガス下、1000℃でさらに4時間焼成した。ボールミル処理後、粉末を水洗し、乾燥後、ふるい分けした。図9は、合成されたLa3Ga4.48Al0.5SiO14:Cr0.02のXRDパターンであり、カルシウムガロゲルマネート構造における結晶化で、a0=8.146Å、c0=5.075Åである。
5.148gの酸化ガドリニウム(Rhodia,スペラミックグレード)、1.189gの酸化スカンジウム(Alfa Aesar,4N)、0.404gの酸化ルテニウム(Rhodia)、2.852gの酸化ガリウム(Alfa Aesar,4N)、0.0771gの酸化クロム(III)(Alfa,99%)、0.3305gの酸化ランタン(Auer Remy,4N)、 および0.2gのフッ化バリウム(Alfa Aesar)の開始材料を混合し、大気雰囲気下、1500℃で4時間焼成した。粗粉砕およびボールミル処理の後、粉末を温水で洗浄し、乾燥後、ふるい分けした。図10は、合成されたGd2.8La0.2Sc1.7Lu0.2Ga3O12:Cr0.1のXRDパターンであり、ガーネット構造における結晶化で、a0=12.440Åである。
4.330gの酸化ガドリニウム(Rhodia,スペラミックグレード)、1.103gの酸化スカンジウム(Alfa Aesar,4N)、0.792gの酸化ルテニウム(Rhodia)、2.799gの酸化ガリウム(Alfa Aesar,4N)、0.0757gの酸化クロム(III)(Alfa,99%)、0.9730gの酸化ランタン(Auer Remy,4N)、および0.2gのフッ化バリウム(Alfa Aesar)の開始材料を混合し、大気雰囲気下、1550℃で4時間焼成した。ミル処理後、粉末を、一酸化炭素雰囲気下で、再度、1400℃で4時間焼成した。粗粉砕およびボールミル処理の後、粉末を温水で洗浄し、乾燥後、ふるい分けした。図11は、合成されたGd2.4La0.6Sc1.5Lu0.4Ga3O12:Cr0.1のXRDパターンであり、ガーネット構造における結晶化で、a0=12.604Åである。
AlF3(99.99%,無水物)、LiF(99.999%)、SrF2(99.99%,乾燥)、およびCrF3(99.98%,無水物)の開始材料を、アルゴン下で混合し、白金るつぼに入れた。アルゴン雰囲気下、600℃で4時間焼成後、得られた粉末ケーキをエタノール下でミル処理し、乾燥させた。
NIR分光測定のような赤外照射用途では、しばしば、ブロードで、連続的な放射強度分布を有することが好ましい。従って、ある実施例では、NIR蛍光体108は、例えば、例1)および2)に示されているCrドープカルシウムガロゲルマネートタイプの蛍光体の分類からの、1または2以上の長波長放射材料を有し、これは、例えば、例3)および4)に示された、Crドープガーネットの分類からの、1または2以上の短波長放射材料、ならびに/または例5)に示されたCrドープコルキライト材料の分類からの材料、と組み合わされる。
Claims (8)
- 第1の光を放射する光源と、
前記光源により放射される光の光路に配置された波長変換構造と、
を有する装置であって、
前記波長変換構造は、
赤外光を放射する第1の蛍光体と、
前記第1の光を吸収し、可視光である第2の光を放射する第2の蛍光体と、
を有し、
前記第1の蛍光体は、前記第1の光を吸収して、第3の光を放射し、
前記第1の蛍光体は、前記第2の光を吸収して、第4の光を放射し、
前記第3の光および前記第4の光は、赤外放射範囲において異なるピーク波長を有する、装置。 - 前記第1の光は青色光であり、前記第2の光は赤色光である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の蛍光体は、Cr(III)蛍光体を有し、
該Cr(III)蛍光体は、4A2→4T1電子遷移を介して前記第1の光により励起され、4A2→4T2電子遷移を介して前記第2の光により励起される、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第1の蛍光体は、2以上の置換位置にドーパントを有する、規則構造で構成された結晶化蛍光体材料を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の蛍光体は、
固溶体の一つと、
異なる結晶タイプが異なる放射チャネルを介して放射する、混合結晶タイプの蛍光体と、
を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第1の蛍光体は、ガラスまたはアモルファス材料を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の蛍光体は、RE3Ga5-x-yAxSiO14:Cry(RE=La,Nd,Gd,Yb,Tm;A=Al,Sc)であり、ここで0≦x≦1および0.005≦y≦0.1である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1および第2の蛍光体は、透明材料と混合され、前記光源にわたって設置される、請求項1に記載の装置。
