Abstract
Description
1つ以上の実施形態では、ガラス物品(厚さ1mmまたは0.7mm)は、D65光源下におけるCIE L*a*b*(CIELAB)色空間の下で、L*が約55〜約98、約56〜約98、約58〜約98、約60〜約98、約62〜約98、約64〜約98、約65〜約98、約66〜約98、約68〜約98、約70〜約98、約72〜約98、約74〜約98、約75〜約98、約55〜約96、約55〜約95、約55〜約94、約55〜約92、約55〜約90、約55〜約88、約55〜約86、約55〜約85、約55〜約84、約55〜約82、約55〜約80、約55〜約78、または約55〜約75の範囲内にある、透過率の色座標を示す。
CTおよびCSは、本明細書ではメガパスカル(MPa)で表され、DOCはマイクロメートル(μm)で表される。
実施例1〜47は、灰色に着色されたガラス物品の形成に用いられるガラス組成物である。実施例1〜47のガラス組成(モル%単位)が表1に提供されている。表1はまた、鉄源(「Fe2O3源」)、用いた還元剤(使用する場合)、溶融環境、およびガラス物品の形成に用いた溶融温度(℃)についての情報も含む。表1はまた、ガラス物品(厚さ1mmまたは0.7mm)の光学性能も示している。a*およびb*値は透過率で提供される。
実施例48〜85は、緑色の色合いをしたガラス物品の形成に使用されるガラス組成物である。実施例48〜85のガラス組成(モル%単位)が表2に提供されている。表2はまた、鉄源(「Fe2O3源」)、用いた還元剤(使用する場合)、溶融環境、およびガラス物品の形成に用いた溶融温度(℃)についての情報も含む。表2はまた、ガラス物品(厚さ1mmまたは0.7mm)の光学性能も示している。a*およびb*値は透過率で提供される。

前記ガラス組成物が、約0.2モル%以下の量のSnO2をさらに含む、実施形態1または2に記載のガラス物品。
前記ガラス組成物が、約1.5以下のR2OのAl2O3に対する組成比をさらに含む、実施形態1〜3のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
前記ガラス物品が、0.7mmの厚さにおいて、約380nm〜約780nmの範囲の波長にわたり、約75%〜約85%の範囲の平均透過率を示す、実施形態1〜4のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
R2OのAl2O3に対する組成比が約0.8〜約1.5の範囲内にある、実施形態1〜5のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
前記ガラス組成物がLi2Oをさらに含む、実施形態1〜6のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
D65光源下における、CIE L*a*b*(CIELAB)色空間の下で、a*が約−2〜約5の範囲内にあり、b*が約−1〜約10の範囲内にあり、L*が約55〜約98の範囲内にある、透過率の色座標をさらに示す、実施形態1〜7のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
Fe2O3として表されるFeの合計量が、約0.1モル%〜約1モル%の範囲の量で存在する、実施形態1〜8のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
前記ガラス組成物がさらに、Co3O4として表されるCoの合計量を、約0.001モル%〜0.007モル%の範囲の量で含む、実施形態1〜9のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
前記ガラス組成物が、NiO、V2O5、およびTiO2のうちのいずれか1つ以上をさらに含む、実施形態1〜10のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
前記ガラス組成物が、
約60モル%〜75モル%の範囲の量のSiO2;
約8モル%〜約14モル%の範囲の量のAl2O3;
約6モル%〜約10モル%の範囲の量のB2O3;
約6モル%〜約14モル%の範囲の量のR2O;および
約0モル%〜約2モル%の範囲の量のMgO
を含む、実施形態1〜11のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
前記ガラス物品が強化されている、実施形態1〜12のいずれかに記載のガラス物品。
ガラス組成物を含むガラス物品であって、前記組成物が、
約40モル%〜約80モル%の範囲の量のSiO2;
約5%モル%を超える量のAl2O3;
R2OのAl2O3に対する比が約1以上である、合計量のアルカリ金属酸化物(R2O);
Na2O;
約0〜約13モル%の範囲の量のMgO;
