Abstract
Description
本発明は、摩擦材料、特に自動車用の摩擦材料に関する。
腐食は多くの産業で問題となっており、その結果、年間損失は2500億米ドルを超えると推定されている。特に摩擦材料は、それらが使用される過酷で多様な動作条件のために腐食を受けやすい。自動車産業は腐食のために、例えば年間1000億米ドル以上の損失を被っていると推定されている。
a.粒状無機多孔質材料を他の出発材料と混合して混合物を形成する工程であって、前記粒状無機多孔質材料は、その孔内に吸収された腐食防止剤を含む上記工程と;
b.前記混合物を型に入れる工程と;
c.前記型内の混合物を10〜70MPaの圧力にさらす工程と、を含む上記方法を提供する。
粒状多孔質材料
本発明の摩擦材料は、腐食防止剤を含浸させた粒状無機多孔質材料を含む。
腐食防止剤は、粒状多孔質材料の孔に吸収される。この相互作用によって、摩擦結合表面への腐食防止剤の制御された送達が可能である。
摩擦材料は、マトリックス中に分散され、本発明による腐食防止剤を含浸させた本発明の多孔質無機粒状材料を含む。
1〜30%の鉱物繊維、例えば3〜15%
0〜3%の鋼繊維、例えば0〜1%
1〜40%の研磨剤、例えば10〜30%
1〜20%の固体潤滑剤、例えば5〜12%、又は黒鉛の場合は5〜15%
5〜45%の結合剤、例えば5〜25%の結合剤、好ましくは10〜20%
0〜10%のアラミド繊維、好ましくは3〜7%
1〜20%の無機及び有機充填剤、好ましくは3〜10%。
0.5〜1.5%のフィブリル化有機繊維
8〜15%の黒鉛
8〜20%の無機充填剤
4〜10%の鋼繊維
11〜14%のフェノール樹脂
0.5〜10%の研磨剤
3〜8%のゴム
4〜12%の固形潤滑剤
10〜15%の石油コークス
4〜8%の鉱物繊維。
a.その孔内に吸収された腐食防止剤を含む粒状無機多孔質材料を、他の出発材料と混合して混合物を形成する工程;
b.混合物を型に入れる工程;
c.型内の混合物を10〜70MPaの圧力にさらす工程。
Promaxon(登録商標)-Dとして商業的に知られている粒状多孔質ケイ酸カルシウム材料に、Crystal 0075水ガラスを0、50、100、150、及び200w/w%の量で含浸させた。言い換えれば、ある量の水ガラスが粒状多孔質ケイ酸カルシウム材料に吸収され、それが、水ガラス中の自身の重量の0%、50%、100%、150%又は200%を担持するようにした。水ガラス中のSiO2:Na2O比は3.22であった。7%の体積%の含浸粒状多孔質材料を以下の処方に従って他の成分と混合し、そして型内で160℃及び28MPaで圧力をかけてNAO、非鋼摩擦材料を形成した。
摩擦材料は、出発材料を混合し、ブレーキパッドを形成するための上記実施例1のプロセス条件を用いて型内で混合物を加圧することによって、調製した。配合物は、以下のとおりの低金属配合物であった。
グローバル規格摩擦性能についてのKrauss ECE R90付属文書(一定トルク)ヨーロッパ認定試験手順に従って試験を行って、各試料の摩擦係数を決定した。
図1、2、及び3は実施例2の試験結果を示す。
図1に見られるように、ケイ酸ナトリウム液体溶液の含有量の増加と共に、平均摩擦レベル、平均コールドセクション摩擦レベル、及び平均フェードセクション摩擦レベルが増加した。これら3つの摩擦セクションはブレーキパッドの開発に極めて重要である。
25、50、及び75%、すなわち粒状無機多孔質材料は、最良の結果を得るために、それ自体の重量の25〜75%の腐食防止剤を担持する。
− 摩擦材料の加工。含浸量が多いほど、ホットプレス後に摩擦材料に亀裂が入る可能性が高くなる。
− 腐食とスティクション改善への影響
− 摩擦性能への影響
− ディスク摩耗への影響。
− 高い耐熱性を有する無機多孔質材料は、液体溶液用の担体として使用することができる。
− 腐食防止剤の液体溶液は、摩擦材料業界で効率化の大きな可能性を秘めている。
− 浸潤の量は5%(w/w)から飽和レベルまでである。Promaxon(登録商標)-Dの特定の場合では、これは5%〜200%である。
− 最適な含浸量は、材料セグメント(NAO、低金属、又は半金属)によって異なり、Promaxon Dの場合、これは25〜70%である。
Claims (23)
- 粒状無機多孔質材料を含む摩擦材料であって、前記粒状多孔質材料は、その孔内に吸収された腐食防止剤を含む、上記摩擦材料。
- 前記腐食防止剤が、アルカリケイ酸塩、好ましくはケイ酸ナトリウム、ケイ酸カリウム、又はこれらの混合物を、例えば水溶液の形態で含む、請求項1に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記粒状無機多孔質材料が、Ca6Si6O17(OH)2などのケイ酸カルシウム構造を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記粒状無機多孔質材料が実質的に球形の形状を有する粒子を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記粒状無機多孔質材料が5μm〜300μmの数平均粒径を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 活性物質の非存在下で計算したとき、前記粒状無機多孔質材料が少なくとも40m2/gのBET比表面積を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 活性物質の非存在下で測定したとき、前記粒状無機多孔質材料が100〜500の範囲、好ましくは150〜300の範囲の吸油数を有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記粒状無機多孔質材料の乾燥重量と前記腐食防止剤中の乾燥物質の質量との組み合わせに対して、前記腐食防止剤中の乾燥物質の質量の百分率として表されたとき、前記腐食防止剤が1.5〜50重量%の量で存在する、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記粒状無機多孔質材料が前記摩擦材料全体に均一に分散している、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 5〜45重量%、好ましくは10〜20重量%の範囲の量の有機結合剤、例えば熱硬化性樹脂をさらに含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 繊維をさらに含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 人造ガラス質繊維(MMVF)をさらに含む、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記MMVFが、前記摩擦材料中に1〜30重量%、好ましくは3〜15重量%の範囲の量で存在する、請求項12に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記MMVFがストーンウール繊維を含む、請求項12又は請求項13に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記ストーンウール繊維が、5〜10μmの範囲の数平均直径、及び50〜1000μm、好ましくは100〜750μmの範囲の数平均繊維長を有する、請求項14に記載の摩擦材料。
- 充填剤、潤滑剤、研磨剤、及びMMVF以外の繊維をさらに含む、請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記粒状無機多孔質材料とその構造内に吸収されたアルカリケイ酸塩とが一緒になって、前記摩擦材料の1〜10重量%、好ましくは2〜5重量%を構成する、請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記粒状無機多孔質材料が繊維ボールを含む、請求項1〜17のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料。
- 前記繊維ボールが人造ガラス質繊維を含む、請求項18に記載の摩擦材料。
- 請求項1〜19のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料を含む、ブレーキパッド。
- 車両ブレーキシステムであって、ローター及び請求項18に記載のブレーキパッドを含み、前記ローター及び前記ブレーキパッドが制動時に接触するように構成され、好ましくは前記ローターが金属製であり、さらに好ましくは電子式パーキングブレーキシステムである、車両ブレーキシステム。
- 請求項1〜19のいずれか1項に記載の摩擦材料を製造する方法であって、
a)その孔内に吸収された腐食防止剤を含む粒状無機多孔質材料を、他の出発材料と混合して、混合物を形成することと;
b)前記混合物を型に入れることと;
c)前記型内の混合物を10〜70MPaの圧力にさらすことと、
を含む方法。 - 前記粒状無機多孔質材料に前記腐食防止剤を含浸させる初期工程をさらに含み、好ましくは前記腐食防止剤が水溶液の形態である、請求項22に記載の方法。
