1つ以上の実施形態では、本発明の触媒組成物は、基材上に配置される。本明細書で使用する「基材」という用語は、触媒材料が典型的にはウォッシュコートの形態でその上に配置される、モノリス材料を意味する。ウォッシュコートは、触媒の所与の固形分(例えば、30〜90質量%)を液体中に含有するスラリーを調製することにより形成され、このスラリーは次いで基材上に被覆され、乾燥してウォッシュコート層をもたらす。本明細書で使用する「ウォッシュコート」という用語は、当該技術における通常の意味を有しており、基材材料、例えば、ガス流の通路が処理されるのに十分な多孔性があるハニカム型担体部材等に施与される、薄く接着性のある触媒又は他の材料の被覆を意味する。
本発明のさらなる態様は、排気ガス処理システムに関する。1つ以上の実施形態では、排気ガス処理システムはガソリンエンジン、特にリーン燃焼ガソリンエンジン、及びエンジンの下流にある本発明の触媒組成物を含む。
本発明の別の態様は、ガソリンエンジン、特にリーン燃焼ガソリンエンジンの排気ガス流を処理する方法に関する。この方法は、本発明の1つ以上の実施形態による触媒をガソリンエンジンの下流に配置し、エンジン排気ガス流を触媒上に流すことを含むことができる。1つ以上の実施形態では、本方法は、上記のように更なる触媒成分をエンジンの下流に配置することをさらに含む。
CuO3.2%のCu−SSZ−13:機械的攪拌機と蒸気加熱機を備えた容器に、シリカ対アルミナ比が30であるNH4 +交換SSZ−13の懸濁液を添加した。容器の内容物を攪拌しながら60℃に加熱した。酢酸銅の溶液を反応混合物に添加した。固体をろ過し、脱イオン水で洗浄して風乾した。得られたCu−SSZ−13を空気中550℃で6時間焼成した。得られた生成物は、ICP分析によって判定したCuOに基づき3.2質量%の銅含有量を有した。
CuO2.4%のCu−SSZ−13:例1の調製手順に従い、ICP分析によって判定したCuOに基づき2.4質量%の銅含有量を有するCu−SSZ−13を得た。
CuO1.7%のCu−SSZ−13:例1の調製手順に従い、ICP分析によって判定したCuOに基づき1.7質量%の銅含有量を有するCu−SSZ−13を得た。
CuO1.1%のCu−SSZ−13:例1の調製手順に従い、ICP分析によって判定したCuOに基づき1.1質量%の同含有量を有するCu−SSZ−13を得た。
CuO0.6%のCu−SSZ−13:例1の調製手順に従い、ICP分析によって判定したCuOに基づき0.6質量%の銅含有量を有するCu−SSZ−13を得た。
CuO1.7%のCuSAPO−34:例3の調製手順及び前駆体としてのNH4 +−SAPO−34に従い、ICP分析によって判定したCuOに基づき1.7質量%の銅含有量のCuSAPO−34を得た。
粉末試料は、石英管を取り付けた水平管炉内でエージングした。エージングは、850℃で5時間、空気の流れ(空気エージング)又はリーン/リッチ条件の循環(リーン/リッチエージング)のいずれかで10%の蒸気の存在下で実行した。リーン/リッチエージングの場合、エージングの循環は、5分間の空気、5分間のN2、5分間の4%のH2と残余分のN2、及び5分間のN2を含む;このような循環は、所望のエージング期間に達するまで繰り返される。
3つのCu−CHA触媒スラリーを、セル密度400cpsi(1平方インチあたりのセル数)及び壁厚4milを有する1.0インチ(直径)×3.0インチ(長さ)の円筒モノリス基材に被覆した。3つの触媒は、以下の表3で説明するように、異なるCuO装填量を有した。被覆した基材を200℃の通過流動乾燥機でフラッシュ乾燥し、450℃で2時間焼成した。
i) SCR着火試験:500ppmのNO、550ppmのNH3、5%のH2O、5%のCO2、10%のO2と残余分のN2、空間速度(SV)=60Khr−1、T=150〜490℃
ii) NH3貯蔵試験:吸着:500ppmのNH3、5%のH2O、5%のCO2、10%のO2、SV=60Khr−1、T=200℃;脱着:T=200〜490℃
Claims (24)
- 鉄、銅、及びそれらの組み合わせから選択される金属で促進された金属促進分子ふるいを含む、窒素酸化物(NOx)の削減に効果がある選択的触媒還元(SCR)触媒であって、前記金属が前記金属促進分子ふるいの総質量に対して酸化物に基づき2.6質量%以下の量で存在する、選択的接触還元(SCR)触媒。
- 前記金属が約2.0質量%以下の量で存在する、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記金属が約1.8質量%以下の量で存在する、請求項2に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記金属が約1.5質量%以下の量で存在する、請求項3に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記金属が約0.5質量%〜約2.5質量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記金属が約0.5質量%〜約1.8質量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記金属が銅である、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記分子ふるいが、8個の四面体原子の最大環サイズ及び二重6環(d6r)単位を有する小細孔分子ふるいである、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記分子ふるいがゼオライトである、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記ゼオライトが、AEI、AFT、AFV、AFX、AVL、CHA、DDR、EAB、EEI、ERI、IFY、IRN、KFI、LEV、LTA、LTN、MER、MWF、NPT、PAU、RHO、RTE、RTH、SAS、SAT、SAV、SFW、TSC、UFI及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される構造型を有する、請求項9に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記構造型がCHAである、請求項10に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記分子ふるいが約5〜約100のシリカ対アルミナ(SAR)のモル比を有する、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記SCR触媒が、熱エージング処理後300℃で約60%以上のNOx転化率を示し、前記熱エージング処理は、850℃で5時間、リーン/リッチ条件を10%蒸気の存在下で循環させて行い、前記リーン/リッチエージングの循環は、5分間の空気、5分間のN2、5分間の4%のH2と残余分のN2、及び5分間のN2からなる4つの工程をエージング期間に達するまで繰り返すものである、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- 前記SCR触媒が、熱エージング処理後200℃で少なくとも約0.60g/L以上のNH3貯蔵率を示し、前記熱エージング処理は、850℃で5時間、リーン/リッチ条件を10%蒸気の存在下で循環させて行い、前記リーン/リッチエージングの循環は、5分間の空気、5分間のN2、5分間の4%のH2と残余分のN2、及び5分間のN2からなる4つの工程をエージング期間に達するまで繰り返すものである、請求項1に記載のSCR触媒。
- リーン燃焼ガソリンエンジン排気ガスからの窒素酸化物(NOx)を削減するのに効果がある触媒物品であって、基材担体と、その上に配置された触媒組成物を含み、前記触媒組成物が請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載のSCR触媒を含む、触媒物品。
- 前記基材担体がハニカム基材である、請求項15に記載の触媒物品。
- 前記ハニカム基材が金属又はセラミックである、請求項15に記載の触媒物品。
- 前記ハニカム基材担体が、通過流動基材又は壁流フィルターである、請求項15に記載の触媒物品。
- 前記触媒組成物をウォッシュコートの形態で前記基材担体に施与し、前記ウォッシュコートが、シリカ、アルミナ、チタニア、ジルコニア、セリア、又はそれらの組み合わせから選択される結合剤をさらに含む、請求項15に記載の触媒物品。
- 排気ガス処理システムであって、
排気ガス流を生成するリーン燃焼ガソリンエンジン;及び
前記リーン燃焼ガソリンエンジンの下流に位置し、前記排気ガス流と流体連通する触媒物品
を含み、当該触媒物品が、前記排気ガス流からの窒素酸化物(NOx)を削減するのに効果があり、当該触媒物品が、基材担体と、その上に配置された触媒組成物を含み、前記触媒組成物が、請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載のSCR触媒を含む、排気ガス処理システム。 - 三元変換触媒(TWC)及びリーンNOxトラップ(LNT)のうち少なくとも一方を、前記リーン燃焼ガソリンエンジンの下流、かつ前記SCR触媒の上流位置にさらに含む、請求項20に記載の排気ガス処理システム。
- 前記TWC及び前記LNTの一方又は両方が密に結合した位置にある、請求項21に記載の排気ガス処理システム。
- リーン燃焼ガソリンエンジンからの排気ガス流を処理する方法であって、
前記排気ガス流を、基材担体と、その上に配置された触媒組成物を有する触媒物品と接触させることを含み、前記触媒組成物が請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載のSCR触媒を含むことにより、前記排気ガス流中の窒素酸化物(NOx)が削減される、方法。 - 三元変換触媒(TWC)及びリーンNOxトラップ(LNT)のうち少なくとも一方を前記リーン燃焼ガソリンエンジンの下流、かつ前記SCR触媒の上流位置に含む1つ以上の触媒物品を、前記排気ガス流と接触させることをさらに含む、請求項23に記載の方法。
