Description
排気ガスの流れ方向において、排気ガスが順々に接触する異なる組成の材料領域を有する領域化酸化触媒も既に記載されている。
ドープ酸化アルミニウムは、例えば、酸化ケイ素、酸化ジルコニウム、及び/又は酸化チタンをドープした酸化アルミニウムである。ランタン安定化酸化アルミニウムが有利に使用され、ここでランタンは、安定化酸化アルミニウムの重量に対して、それぞれLa2O3として計算して1〜10重量%、好ましくは3〜6重量%の量で使用される。
アルカリ土類金属又はアルカリ土類金属は一般にそれらの酸化物、水酸化物又は炭酸塩の形で存在する。それらは好ましくはそれらの酸化物の形で存在する。
アルカリ土類金属は有利には材料帯域Bの重量に対して0.5〜5重量%の量で使用され、MeOとして計算され、ここでMeはアルカリ土類金属を表す。
ストロンチウムが使用される場合、それは材料帯域Bの重量に対して1〜3重量%の量で存在するのが特に好ましい。
しかしながら、バリウムを使用する場合、材料領域Aの重量に対し2.5〜4.5重量%の量で存在することが特に好ましい。
SCR触媒として、窒素酸化物とアンモニアとのSCR反応における全ての活性触媒−特に自動車の排気ガス触媒の分野における当業者に一般的に知られているもの−を原則として使用することができる。これには、混合酸化物型の触媒、及びゼオライトに基づく−特に遷移金属交換ゼオライトに基づく−触媒が含まれる。
本発明の実施形態では、8個の四面体原子の最大環サイズを有する小孔ゼオライト及び遷移金属を含有するSCR触媒が使用される。そのようなSCR触媒は、例えば、欧州特許出願公開第2117707(A1)号及び国際公開第2008/132452(A2)号に記載されている。
一実施形態では、材料領域Aは、担体の端面「a」から始まり、別の実施形態では、端面「b」から始まる。
本発明に係る触媒の他の実施形態では、材料領域Bは担体の長さLの50%〜70%に沿って延びる。
あるいは、貴金属も、欧州特許出願公開第1101528(A2)号に記載されている方法と同様にして担体材料に適用することもできる。
コーティング懸濁液の製造と同様に、材料領域Cを製造するために、適切なSCR触媒を−場合によっては結合剤の添加と共に−水中に懸濁させる。
このような方法で得られた懸濁物を、次に標準的なコーティング方法の1つにより担体にこすりつけて適用する。各コーティングステップの後に、コーティング部を熱気流中で乾燥し、適宜焼成する。
前述の前駆体化合物、補助試薬、及び結合剤は、当業者に公知である。
したがって、本発明は、また、順に、アンモニア又はアンモニア前駆体を供給するための第1のデバイス、第1のSCR触媒、及び本発明に係る触媒を含む触媒装置に関し、ここで本発明に係る触媒は、その端面「a」が第1のSCR触媒の方向を向くように配置されている。
フロースルー基材とは対照的に、両端で開口しているチャネルは、フロースルー基材の2つの端部の間で平行に延び、ウォールフローフィルタ内のチャネルは、第1の端部又は第2の端部のいずれかで交互に気密に閉じられる。したがって、一方の端部のチャネル内に入るガスは、チャネル壁を通って他方の端部上で開いているチャネル内に入るときにのみウォールフローフィルタを出ることができる。チャネル壁は概ね多孔質であり、コーティングされていない状態では、例えば、30〜80%−具体的には50〜75%の多孔率を有する。コーティングされていない状態におけるそれらの平均孔径は、例えば5〜30ミクロンである。
一般に、ウォールフローフィルタの孔はいわゆる開放孔であり、すなわちそれらはチャネルと接続している。更に、孔は概して互いに接続している。一方では、これにより、内側孔表面の容易なコーティングが可能になり、他方では、ウォールフローフィルタの多孔質壁を通る排気ガスの容易な通過が可能になる。
SCR触媒活性材料でコーティングされたフロースルー基板を、第2のSCR触媒として使用することもできる。上記の材料領域Cの全てのSCR触媒は、具体的には、SCR触媒活性材料として考慮される。
SCR触媒は、好ましくは、ベータ型(BEA)、チャバザイト型(CHA)、又は銅、鉄、若しくは銅及び鉄と交換されたLevyne型(LEV)を含むことが好ましい。
アンモニア又はアンモニア前駆体に供給するためのデバイス−具体的には尿素の水溶液に供給するためのデバイス−も、第2のSCR触媒の上流に配置されなければならない。
a)10.5”×6.00”の寸法、400cpsiのセル密度、4milの壁厚さのコーディエライト製の市販の円形のフロースルー基材を、一端部(端面「a」に対応する)から開始して、その長さの100%にわたって、市販の0.67g/LのPt、及び0.11g/LのPdの75g/Lを含有するウォッシュコートを用いて、コーティングした。重量比Pt:Pdは6:1であった。
b)a)によって得られたコーティングされた基材を、その全長の50%にわたって、端面「b」から開始して、50g/LのSiドープ酸化アルミニウム、0.15g/Lの通常の水溶性Pt化合物、及び0.30g/Lの通常のPd化合物を含有するウォッシュコートを用いて、コーティングした。重量比Pt:Pdは1:2であった。
c)b)によって得られたコーティングされた基材を、その全長の50%にわたって、端面「a」から開始して、銅と交換された200g/Lのゼオライトを含有するウォッシュコートを用いて、コーティングした。
a)10.5”×6.00”の寸法、400cpsiのセル密度、4milの壁厚さのコーディエライト製の市販の円形のフロースルー基材を、一端部(端面「a」に対応する)から開始して、その長さの100%にわたって、市販の酸化アルミニウム、0.39g/LのPt、及び0.10g/LのPdの50g/Lを含有するウォッシュコートを用いて、コーティングした。重量比Pt:Pdは4:1であった。
b)a)によって得られたコーティングされた基材を、その全長の50%にわたって、端面「b」から出発して、70g/LのSiドープ酸化アルミニウム、0.37g/Lの通常の水溶性Pt化合物、及び0.37g/Lの通常の水溶性Pd化合物を用いて、コーティングした。重量比Pt:Pdは1:1であった。
c)b)によって得られたコーティングされた基材を、その全長の50%にわたって、端面「a」から開始して、160g/Lの鉄と交換されたゼオライトを含有するウォッシュコートを用いて、コーティングした。
Claims (19)
- 第1の端面「a」と第2の端面「b」との間に延びる長さLを有する担体と、
前記担体上に配置された触媒活性材料領域A、B、及びCとを備える触媒であって、
材料領域Aが、白金又はPt:Pd≧1の重量比を有する白金及びパラジウムを含み、端面「a」から始まって又は端面「b」から始まって、前記長さLの70〜100%に沿って延びており、
材料領域Bが、パラジウム又は白金及びパラジウムを含み、端面「b」から始まって前記長さLの一部分に沿って延びており、
材料領域CがSCR活性材料を含み、端面「a」から始まって前記長さLの一部分に沿って延び、
材料領域Cは材料領域Aの上方に配置されている、触媒。 - 材料領域Aが、白金又は20:1〜1:1の重量比を有する白金及びパラジウムを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Bが、パラジウム又は3:1〜1:12の重量比を有する白金及びパラジウムを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1及び/又は2に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Aが白金及び遷移金属酸化物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか1つ以上の項に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Aの重量に対してそれぞれ、白金が0.05〜4.0重量%の量で存在し、前記遷移金属酸化物が0.5〜15重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の触媒。
- 前記遷移金属酸化物がCuxOであり、式中0<×≦2であることを特徴とする、請求項4及び/又は5に記載の触媒。
- 前記材料領域Aの重量に対してそれぞれ、CuxOが0.5〜5重量%の量で存在し、白金が0.05〜2.0重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Bがアルカリ土類金属を含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか1つ以上の項に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域B中の前記アルカリ土類金属が、ストロンチウム又はバリウム又はストロンチウム及びバリウムであることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Cが、SCR活性材料として、8個の四面体原子の最大環サイズを有し及び遷移金属を含有する小孔ゼオライトを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか1つ以上の項に記載の触媒。
- 前記小孔ゼオライトが、AEI、CHA、KFI、ERI、LEV、MER、又はDDR構造型に属し、及びコバルト、鉄、銅、又はコバルト、鉄、銅のうちの2つ若しくは3つの混合物と交換されることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Cが、SCR活性材料として、構造型BEAを有し及び遷移金属を含有するゼオライトを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか1つ以上の項に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Bが前記担体の前記長さLの30〜50%に沿って延びていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれか1つ以上の項に記載の触媒。
- 材料領域Cが前記担体の前記長さLの50〜70%に沿って延びていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜13のいずれか1つ以上の項に記載の触媒。
- 順に、アンモニア又はアンモニア前駆体を供給するための第1のデバイスと、第1のSCR触媒と、請求項1〜14の1つ以上の項に記載の触媒であって、その端面「a」が前記第1のSCR触媒の方向を向くように配置されている触媒と、を備える、触媒装置。
- 請求項1〜14の1つ以上の項に記載の前記触媒の端面「b」の方向を向くように配置されたディーゼル微粒子フィルタを備えることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の触媒装置。
- 前記ディーゼル微粒子フィルタに続く第2のSCR触媒を備えることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の触媒装置。
- 前記第2のSCR触媒の上流において、アンモニア又はアンモニア前駆体を供給するための第2のデバイスを備えることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の触媒装置。
- 前記第2のSCR触媒に続くアンモニアスリップ触媒を備えることを特徴とする、請求項17及び/又は18に記載の触媒装置。
