Abstract
Description
本出願は、2017年2月23日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/462、661号、2017年3月30日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/478、883号、及び、2017年5月8日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/503、061号に基づく優先権を主張するものであり、当該特許出願の内容は、参照により本明細書に援用されている。
本開示は、一般的に、医療用デバイス送達ケーブル、並びにそれを作製及び使用する方法に関する。具体的には、本開示は、フレキシブル内側部材と、送達ケーブルにコラム強さ及び剛性を提供するための近位外側部材と、送達ケーブルにフレキシビリティを提供するための遠位外側部材とを備える医療用デバイス送達ケーブルに関する。医療用デバイス送達ケーブルを製造及び使用する方法もまた開示されている。
Claims (15)
- 医療用デバイスを送達するための送達ケーブルであって、
フレキシブル内側芯材と、
第1剛性を有する近位外側コイルと、
前記フレキシブル内側芯材の遠位部分の少なくとも一部を取り囲み、かつ、前記第1剛性より低い第2剛性を有する遠位外側コイルとを備え、
これにより、前記送達ケーブルによって前記医療用デバイスに加えられる偏力を減少させることを特徴とする送達ケーブル。 - 前記遠位外側コイルの外径が、前記近位外側コイルの外径と概ね等しく、かつ、
前記遠位外側コイル及び前記フレキシブル内側芯材は、前記送達ケーブルが外側シースを通じて前進させられるとき、前記送達ケーブルの蛇行を減少させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送達ケーブル。 - 前記遠位外側コイルの外径が、前記近位外側コイルの外径より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送達ケーブル。
- 前記フレキシブル内側芯材の遠位端に結合され、かつ、前記医療用デバイスに係合するように構成された端部ねじをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送達ケーブル。
- 前記近位外側コイル及び前記遠位外側コイルの両方の少なくとも一部を囲む熱収縮材料をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送達ケーブル。
- 前記近位外側コイルを前記遠位外側コイルと連結するように構成された第1カプラーをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の送達ケーブル。
- 中間外側コイルをさらに備え、
前記近位外側コイル及び前記中間外側コイルが、前記第1カプラーを介して互いに連結されており、かつ、前記中間外側コイル及び前記遠位外側コイルが、第2カプラーを介して互いに連結されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の送達ケーブル。 - 前記フレキシブル内側芯材は、近位フレキシブル内側芯材、中間フレキシブル内側芯材、及び遠位フレキシブル内側芯材を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の送達ケーブル。
- 前記近位フレキシブル内側芯材及び前記中間フレキシブル内側芯材は、前記第1カプラーを介して互いに連結されており、前記中間フレキシブル内側芯材及び前記遠位フレキシブル内側芯材は、第2カプラーを介して互いに連結されていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の送達ケーブル。
- 医療用デバイスを標的部位に送達するための送達デバイスであって、
外側シースと、
前記外側シースの内部に配置され、かつ、前記外側シースに関する長手方向軸に沿って可動な送達ケーブルとを備え、
前記送達ケーブルは、
フレキシブル内側芯材と、
第1剛性を有する近位外側コイルと、
前記フレキシブル内側芯材の遠位部分を少なくとも部分的に取り囲み、かつ、前記第1剛性より少ない第2剛性を有する遠位外側コイルとを含み、
前記遠位外側コイル及び前記フレキシブル内側芯材は、前記送達ケーブルが前記外側シースを通じて前進させられるとき、前記送達ケーブルの蛇行を減少させることを特徴とする送達デバイス。 - 前記遠位外側コイルの外径は、前記外側シースの内径より少なく、かつ、前記外側シースの内径の90%より大きく、
前記遠位外側コイル及び前記フレキシブル内側芯材は、前記送達ケーブルによって前記医療用デバイスに加えられる偏力を減少させることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の送達デバイス。 - 前記送達ケーブルはさらに、前記フレキシブル内側芯材の遠位端に結合され、かつ、前記医療用デバイスに係合するように構成された端部ねじを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の送達デバイス。
- 前記端部ねじは、前記医療用デバイスを係合するためのねじ部を有することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の送達デバイス。
- 前記送達ケーブルはさらに、前記近位外側コイル及び前記遠位外側コイルの両方の少なくとも一部を囲む熱収縮材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の送達デバイス。
- 前記送達ケーブルはさらに、前記近位外側コイルを前記遠位外側コイルと連結するように構成された第1カプラーを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の送達デバイス。
