H2C=CR’COO−(CH2)n−R−(CH2)n−OOCR’=CH2
で表すことができ、式中、Rは、前述のフッ素化アルファ−オレフィンモノマー又は非フッ素化モノエチレン性不飽和モノマーのオリゴマーであり、R’はH又は−CH3であり、nは1〜4である。Rは、テトラフルオロエチレンから誘導される単位を含むオリゴマーであってよい。
誘電体層は、窒化ホウ素、二酸化チタン、及びシリカを含むフィラー組成物を含む。フィラー組成物は、窒化ホウ素、ルチル二酸化チタン、及びシリカを含むことができる。フィラー組成物は、それぞれ高誘電率及び低誘電率を有するルチル二酸化チタン及び非晶質シリカを含むことができるが、その理由は、この組合せによって、それぞれの量を調節することで、誘電体層中での広範囲の誘電率と低散逸率との組合せが可能となるからである。
フィラー組成物は、チタン酸カルシウム、チタン酸バリウム、チタン酸ストロンチウム、ガラスビーズ、又はこれらを少なくとも1つ含む組合せをさらに含むことができる。フィラー組成物は、SrTiO3、CaTiO3、BaTiO4、Ba2Ti9O20、又はこれらを少なくとも1つ含む組合せをさらに含むことができる。
1つ以上の誘電体層及び1つ以上の導電層を含む多層スタックを形成するステップと;多層スタックを積層するステップとによって、積層体を形成することができる。多層スタック間の接着を促進するために、場合により多層スタック中に接着層が存在することができる。層を接合させ積層体を形成するのに適切な時間の間、ある圧力及び温度下のプレス機、たとえば、真空プレス機中に多層スタックを入れることができる。あるいは、誘電体基板は、銅箔などの導電層がなくてもよい。

(実施例)
使用した材料を表1中に列挙しており以下の実施例に使用した。
実施例1〜11
表2に規定されるポリテトラフルオロエチレン及びフィラー組成物を製織ガラス繊維強化層に含浸させることによって誘電体層を作製し、すべての量は体積パーセントの単位で示され、相対TCは、実施例1を基準としたz方向熱伝導率を意味する。
実施例4では、ガラス繊維強化材の体積パーセントを16.2体積パーセントまで増加させた。セラミック成分は実施例1と同じサイズ及び形態であるが、強化材体積が増加すると、実施例1の75%未満に相対熱伝導率が低下した。
実施例7では、二酸化チタンの代わりに酸化アルミニウムを使用した。この材料の変更によって、実施例1の75%未満に相対熱伝導率が低下した。
実施例8及び実施例9の比較では、二酸化チタンを変更したが、粒子の形状は維持した。この変更によって熱伝導性に大きな影響は生じなかった。

- 前記フルオロポリマーがポリテトラフルオロエチレンからなる、請求項1又は2に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記誘電体層が15〜30体積パーセントの前記複数の窒化ホウ素粒子を含んでなる、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記複数の窒化ホウ素粒子が窒化ホウ素プレートレット、好適には六方晶窒化ホウ素プレートレットからなる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記複数の窒化ホウ素粒子が5〜40マイクロメートルの窒化ホウ素D50値を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記誘電体層が5〜10体積パーセントの前記複数の二酸化チタン粒子を含んでなる、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記二酸化チタンがルチル二酸化チタンを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記複数の二酸化チタン粒子が、それぞれが独立して複数の平坦面を有する不規則な形状の粒子からなる、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記二酸化チタンのD50値が1〜40マイクロメートル、又は1〜25マイクロメートルである、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記誘電体層が15〜25体積パーセントの前記複数のシリカ粒子を含んでなる、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記複数のシリカ粒子が5〜15マイクロメートルのシリカD50値を有する、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記シリカが非晶質シリカからなる、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記複数の窒化ホウ素粒子、前記複数の二酸化チタン粒子、及び前記複数のシリカ粒子の1つ以上が表面処理剤を含んでなる、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 前記強化層が製織したガラス繊維強化材又は不織ガラス繊維強化材からなる、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層の製造方法において、
前記フルオロポリマー、前記複数の窒化ホウ素粒子、前記複数の二酸化チタン粒子、及び前記複数のシリカ粒子を含んでなる混合物を前記強化層に含浸させて前記誘電体層を形成する工程を備える、方法。 - 前記含浸がディップコーティング又はキャスティングからなる、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層の製造方法において、
前記フルオロポリマー、前記複数の窒化ホウ素粒子、前記複数の二酸化チタン粒子、前記複数のシリカ粒子、及び複数のガラス繊維を含む混合物を形成する工程と、
前記混合物から前記誘電体層を形成する工程とを備える、方法。 - 前記誘電体層を形成する前記ステップが、ペースト押出成形及びカレンダー加工を含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層を備えた物品。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の誘電体層を含んでなる多層回路基板。
- 前記誘電体層が1〜2W/mKのz方向熱伝導率を有する、請求項21に記載の多層回路基板。
