ポリビニルアルコール系フィルム(鹸化度:99.5モル%、重合度:2000、厚さ:80μm)を0.3%ヨード水溶液に浸漬させて染着させた。延伸比5.0で1軸延伸させた。延伸されたポリビニルアルコール系フィルムを3%のホウ酸水溶液および2%のヨウ化カリウム水溶液に浸漬させ、色補正を行った。50℃で4分間乾燥させ、偏光子(厚さ:23μm)を製造した。
下記表1のエポキシ系化合物、(メタ)アクリレート系化合物、および光開始剤を下記表1の含有量で混合することによってバリア層用組成物を製造した。
偏光板は、22℃〜25℃、相対湿度20%〜60%で製造した。保護フィルムの一面に接着層用組成物を塗布し、これを前記製造した偏光子の一面と合紙した。上記偏光子の他の一面に、前記製造したバリア層用組成物を塗布した後、バリア層用組成物に工程用フィルムを合紙した。このとき、接着層用組成物は、エポキシ系化合物、(メタ)アクリレート化合物、および開始剤を含む光硬化型接着層用組成物である。
バリア層用組成物中の各成分の種類および含有量を下記表1のように変更したことを除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。

Claims (13)
- 粘着層、バリア層、偏光子、および保護フィルムが順次積層された偏光板であって、
前記バリア層は、前記偏光子に直接形成され、
前記バリア層は、エポキシ系化合物およびスルホニウムアンチモン系開始剤を含むバリア層用組成物で形成されたものである、偏光板。 - 前記バリア層は、ガラス転移温度が約90℃以上である、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 前記バリア層は、黄色度(yellow index)が約1.0以下である、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 前記スルホニウムアンチモン系開始剤は、トリフェニルスルホニウム、ジフェニル−4−チオフェノキシフェニルスルホニウム、およびジフェニル−4−フェニルチオフェニルスルホニウムのうちいずれか一つの陽イオンと、ヘキサフルオロアンチモネート(SbF6 −)、およびヘキサクロロアンチモネート(SbCl6 −)のうちいずれか一つの陰イオンと、を含むオニウム塩である、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 前記エポキシ系化合物は、2官能脂環式エポキシ系化合物を含み、
前記バリア層用組成物は、前記2官能脂環式エポキシ系化合物;ならびに
1官能芳香族エポキシ系化合物、2官能脂肪族エポキシ系化合物、および(メタ)アクリレート系化合物のうち一つ以上;を含む、請求項1に記載の偏光板。 - 前記2官能脂環式エポキシ系化合物:前記1官能芳香族エポキシ系化合物、2官能脂肪族エポキシ系化合物、および(メタ)アクリレート系化合物のうち一つ以上は、総量100重量部を基準として約60重量%〜約90重量%:約10重量%〜約40重量%で含まれる、請求項5に記載の偏光板。
- 前記バリア層は、厚さが約20μm以下である、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 偏光子の一面にバリア層用組成物を塗布した後、これに工程用フィルムを合紙する段階;および
前記バリア層用組成物を硬化させることによってバリア層を形成し、前記工程用フィルムを剥離する段階;を含み、
前記バリア層と前記工程用フィルムとの間の剥離力が約40gf/25mm以下である、偏光板の製造方法。 - 前記バリア層用組成物は、エポキシ系化合物およびスルホニウムアンチモン系開始剤を含む、請求項8に記載の偏光板の製造方法。
- 前記バリア層用組成物は、(メタ)アクリレート系化合物をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の偏光板の製造方法。
- 前記工程用フィルムは、無延伸もしくは延伸されたポリプロピレンフィルム、またはポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルムを含む、請求項8に記載の偏光板の製造方法。
- 保護フィルムの一面に接着層用組成物を塗布し、これを前記偏光子の他の一面と合紙した後、前記接着層用組成物を硬化させる段階をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の偏光板の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の偏光板を含む光学表示装置。
