Abstract
Description
原料粉末として、種々の粒子径分布のアルミナ粉末および助剤粉末(SiO2粉末、及び、Ba,Ca,Mgの炭酸塩粉末など)を準備した。これらの粉末を種々の割合で混合した原料粉末と、バインダーとしてのポリビニルアルコールと、溶媒としての水とを混合して種々のスラリーを調製した。
サンプル1〜23における焼結体の組成、即ち各成分の含有率を、蛍光X線分析または化学分析により検出した。検出された各成分の酸化物換算の質量の合計を100wt%としたときの質量割合(%)として、Al2O3以外の助剤およびAl2O3の含有率を算出した。
レーザー回折/散乱式粒子径分布測定装置(堀場製作所製LA950)を用いて、原料粉末(Al化合物粉末および助剤粉末)の累積分布50vol%のときの粒子径(D50)及び累積分布(フルイ下)90vol%のときの粒子径(D90)を測定した。
得られた焼結体について、断面を鏡面研磨した後、熱エッチング処理を行った。熱エッチング処理の代わりに化学エッチング処理を行っても良い。SEMを用いて、エッチング処理を行った断面を観察した。SEMの加速電圧は15kV、作動距離は10〜12mmとした。1視野の大きさを20μm×15μmとする矩形領域のSEM画像を、無作為に10視野撮影した。
JIS R1601:2008に基づいて、室温(5〜35℃)における焼結体の3点曲げ強さを測定した。

Claims (3)
- アルミナ基焼結体からなる絶縁体を備え、
前記絶縁体は、酸化物換算で、Al成分を90wt%以上含有するスパークプラグであって、
前記絶縁体は、結晶粒の平均粒径が1.5μm以下、且つ、前記結晶粒の粒子径分布の標準偏差が1.2μm以下であるスパークプラグ。 - 前記絶縁体は、前記標準偏差が1.0μm以下である請求項1記載のスパークプラグ。
- 前記絶縁体は、前記平均粒径が1.0μm以下である請求項1又は2に記載のスパークプラグ。
