Description
MMA-BMA
ここで、MMAはメチルメタアクリレート(Methyl Methacrylate)の単位、BMAはブチルメタアクリレート(Butyl Methacrylate)の単位を表す。

本発明のアクリルフィルムを製造するために、まずはメチルメタアクリレート単量体、ブチルメタアクリレート単量体の共重合体樹脂溶液を製造する。これら単量体の共重合体の製造方法には特別な制限はなく、懸濁重合、乳化重合、塊状重合あるいは溶液重合等の当該技術分野でよく知られている共重合体樹脂の製造方法によって製造され得る。
本発明においては、ソルベントキャスティング工法(溶液フィルム形成法)によってフィルムを製造している。ソルベントキャスティング工法は、キャスティング溶媒の中にアクリル樹脂を溶解させて収得される主ドープ液を支持体の上にキャスティングし、溶媒を蒸発させてフィルムを形成する方法である。主ドープ液の製造は、キャスティング溶媒に前記の製造されたアクリル樹脂および補助添加剤を混合する方法による。
本発明のソルベントキャスティング法は、主ドープ液を加圧ダイのノズルから金属支持体上に流涎して所定時間放置させ、半乾燥状態のフィルムを形成する。その後、前記半乾燥状態のフィルムを金属支持体から剥離し、乾燥システムへと移行して乾燥を行うことにより、上記ソルベントを除去する。そして、乾燥状態になったフィルムに対して、一軸延伸工程または二軸延伸工程を実施する。この延伸工程の実施によってアクリルフィルムの膜均一性及び位相差値を向上させることが可能である。
<ステップ1>アクリル樹脂の製造
ブチルメタクリレート単位の含有量が5重量部であり、下記化学式1に示したアクリルを使用した。
塩化メチレン65.18重量部、メタノール14.31重量部、アクリル樹脂16.48重量部、CSR(カネカ社のアクリルタイプM-210 grade)3.69重量部、紫外線吸収剤であるTinvuin928(BASF社製)0.33重量部及びシリカ0.01重量部を含む主ドープ液を製造した。
以後、上記の主ドープ液をアプリケイター(幅2inch)を利用して、スチールベルトの上にキャスティングした後、一定した残留ソルベントに到達するまで、常温で乾燥してフィルムを生成した。
上記の実施例1と同様にするが、アクリル樹脂のBMA含有量を10重量部(実施例2)、15重量部(実施例3)であるアクリル樹脂を使用した。
上記実施例1と同じ条件でアクリルフィルムを作るが、CSRを添加しなかった。
上記実施例1と同じ条件でアクリルフィルムを作るが、下記化学式2に示したアクリル樹脂を使用した。
上記の比較例2と同じ条件でアクリルフィルムを作るが、CSRを添加しなかった。
上記の実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜3のフィルムに対して、50mmサイズのサンプルをAR-1000(Chemsultants International Inc.)装置を利用して、0.5mpm速度でプレート(Plate)を進めて剥離力を評価し、その結果を表1に示した。
このように得られた上記の実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜3のフィルムに対して、AxoScan(OPMF-1、Axometrics社)光学測定装置を用いて23℃、55%RHの環境下、波長590nmでの位相差値RoとRthを測定し、その結果を表1に示した。
このように得られた上記の実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜3のフィルムに対して、外観のムラを目視評価した。
このように得られた実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜3のフィルムに対して、下記の規格と装置を用いて引裂強度を評価し、その結果を表1に示した。
試験規格:エルメンドルフメソッド(Elmendorf method;KS M ISO6383-2:2010)プラスチックフィルム/シート引裂抵抗の測定方法
メーカー及びモデル名:LabThink社のSLY-SIモデル
Claims (5)
- 下記化学式1で表示されるアクリル樹脂100重量部に対し、メチルメタアクリレート(Methyl Methacrylate)単位70〜98重量部、ブチルメタアクリレート(Butyl Methacrylate)単位2〜30重量部からなるアクリル樹脂及びコアシェルゴム(CSR:Core Shell Rubber)を含む主ドープ液からソルベントキャスティング方法で形成されてなり、0.5mpmの剥離速度で測定した剥離力が20gf/2inch以下であり、引裂強度が6gf以上であることを特徴とするアクリルフィルム。

ここで、MMAはメチルメタアクリレート(Methyl Methacrylate)の単位、BMAはブチルメタアクリレート(Butyl Methacrylate)の単位を表す。 - コアシェルゴム(Core Shell Rubber)は、コア-シェル構造を有するもので、スチレンブタジエンゴム(Styrene Butadiene Rubber)、ポリブタジエン(Polybutadiene、PBD)、アクリル酸エステル(Acrylic Ester)からなる群から選択された1種または2種以上でコアが形成され、メチルメタアクリレート(MMA)、スチレン(Styrene)、アクリル酸エステル(Acrylic Ester)からなる群から選択された1種または2種以上のグラフト共重合体でシェルが形成され、その直径は100nm〜300nmであり、フィルムの固形分100重量部に対して1重量部〜30重量部であることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のアクリルフィルム。
- 前記アクリル樹脂の分子量が50,000g/mol〜2,500,000g/molであることを特徴とする、請求項1記載のアクリルフィルム。
- 前記ソルベントキャスティング方法のソルベントをハロゲン化炭化水素とアルコールを混合して使用することを特徴とする、請求項1記載のアクリルフィルム。
- 下記化学式1で表示されるアクリル樹脂100重量部に対し、メチルメタアクリレート(Methyl Methacrylate)単位70〜98重量部、ブチルメタアクリレート(Butyl Methacrylate)単位2〜30重量部からなるアクリル樹脂及びコアシェルゴム(Core Shell Rubber)を含む主ドープ液からソルベントキャスティング方法によって形成されたアクリルフィルムを延伸温度100℃〜200℃で、延伸前の残留ソルベントが重量比5%〜20%であるとき、延伸速度30%/min〜90%/min、延伸率120%〜140%で延伸するステップを含むアクリルフィルムの製造方法。
