Claims (15)

- 前記粒子が、ロイシン、アラニン、バリン、イソロイシン、メチオニン、フェニルアラニン、チロシン、またはトリプトファンを含むアミノ酸を含む、請求項1または2に記載の粒子。
- 前記糖がトレハロース、またはマンニトールを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の粒子。
- 前記ニコチンが、乳酸ニコチン、ピルビン酸ニコチン、クエン酸ニコチン、およびアスパラギン酸ニコチンを含む群から選択されるニコチン塩を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の粒子。
- 前記アミノ酸がロイシンを含み、かつ前記糖がトレハロースを含み、かつ前記ニコチンが乳酸ニコチンを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の粒子。
- 前記ニコチンが、クエン酸ニコチンまたはアスパラギン酸ニコチンを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の粒子。
- 前記粒子が、約25wt%以下のニコチンまたは約5〜約15wt%のニコチンを含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の粒子。
- 前記粒子が、約60wt%〜約95wt%の糖または約70〜約90wt%の糖を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の粒子。
- 前記粒子が、約1wt%〜約10wt%のアミノ酸または約3〜約7wt%のアミノ酸を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の粒子。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の粒子を複数含む組成物であって、約90%の前記複数の粒子が約4.5マイクロメートル以下の粒子サイズを有し、かつ約50%の前記複数の粒子が約2.5マイクロメートル未満の粒子サイズを有する、組成物。
- ニコチン、糖、およびアミノ酸または短鎖ペプチドを液体担体中で混合して液体混合物を形成する工程と、
前記液体混合物を噴霧乾燥して、約0.5〜約10マイクロメートルの範囲または約0.5〜約5マイクロメートルの範囲のサイズを有する複数の粒子を形成する工程とを含む、方法。 - 前記混合工程が、鎮咳剤を前記ニコチン、糖、およびアミノ酸またはペプチドと前記液体担体中で混合して前記液体混合物を形成する工程を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ニコチンが、乳酸ニコチン、ピルビン酸ニコチン、クエン酸ニコチン、およびアスパラギン酸ニコチンから成る群から選択されるニコチン塩であり、かつ前記糖がトレハロース、マンニトール、ショ糖、またはラクトースを含み、かつ前記アミノ酸がロイシン、アラニン、バリン、イソロイシン、メチオニン、フェニルアラニン、チロシン、またはトリプトファンを含む、請求項12または13に記載の方法。
- 前記糖がトレハロースを含み、かつ前記アミノ酸がロイシンを含み、かつ前記乾燥粉末組成物が約25wt%以下のニコチンまたは約5〜約15wt%のニコチンを含む、請求項12〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
