前記供給ルーメンの前記遠位端にある、または前記遠位端に隣接する位置にある、前記吸引ルーメンと流体連通する、少なくとも1つのオリフィスと
を備え、前記少なくとも1つのオリフィスは、前記吸引ルーメンの前記開放遠位端の近位に配置され、前記少なくとも1つのオリフィスは、加圧流体が前記供給ルーメンを通って圧送されると、スプレーパターンを生成するように構成される、吸引カテーテルを提供するステップと、
前記吸引ルーメンの前記開放遠位端が血栓に隣接するように、前記吸引カテーテルの前記遠位端を血管に挿入するステップと、
前記供給ルーメンを通して薬剤を注入するステップであって、前記薬剤の前記スプレーパターンが、前記少なくとも1つのオリフィスから概して第1の方向に流れて、前記吸引ルーメンの前記内壁面に当たり、これにより、前記薬剤の前記スプレーパターンが前記吸引ルーメンの前記内壁面に到達した後に、前記薬剤の前記スプレーパターンの大部分は、前記吸引ルーメンの開放端から遠位方向に、前記血栓に隣接する第2の方向に流れ、前記第2の方向は、前記第1の方向とは異なる、薬剤を注入するようになっている、ステップと
を含む、薬剤を送達するための方法。 - 前記注入するステップが、前記吸引ルーメンに負圧が印加されるのを回避し、低減し、または排除する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 遠位端と壁とを有する供給ルーメン、及び開放遠位端と内壁面とを有する吸引ルーメンとを備える吸引カテーテル、並びに、前記供給ルーメンの前記遠位端に隣接し、前記吸引ルーメンの内部と流体連通するオリフィスであって、前記吸引ルーメンの前記開放遠位端の近位に配置される、オリフィスを用意するステップと、
前記吸引ルーメンの前記開放遠位端が血栓に隣接するように、前記吸引カテーテルの前記遠位端を血管に挿入するステップと、
X線画像、または透視画像を可視化しながら、前記供給ルーメンを通して造影剤を含む流体を注入するステップと、
前記血栓の境界を識別するステップと
を含む、血栓除去プロセスを可視化する方法。 - 前記注入するステップが手による注入を含む、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記手による注入がシリンジを使用する、請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記流体が溶解剤を含む、請求項19に記載の方法。

を備える、血栓を吸引するためのシステムであって、
前記供給ルーメンは、遠位端および壁を有し、前記吸引ルーメンは、開放遠位端および内壁面を有し、
前記オリフィスは、前記吸引ルーメンの前記開放遠位端の近位に配置され、前記オリフィスは、加圧流体が前記供給ルーメンを通って圧送されると、スプレーパターンを生成するように構成されており、
前記マンドレルの前記遠位端は、90度よりも大きい湾曲を含み、かつ前記吸引カテーテルの遠位端と係合するように構成された凹部を含み、前記オリフィスは、前記マンドレルに印加された牽引力によって、前記吸引カテーテルの長手方向軸線に対して横断方向に平行移動可能である、システム。 - 供給ルーメンおよび吸引ルーメンを有する吸引カテーテルと、
前記供給ルーメンの遠位端に隣接する位置にあり、前記吸引ルーメンの内部と流体連通するオリフィスと、
近位端および遠位端を有する細長いワイヤと
を備える、血栓を吸引するためのシステムであって、
前記供給ルーメンは、遠位端および壁を有し、前記吸引ルーメンは、開放遠位端および内壁面を有し、
前記オリフィスは、前記吸引ルーメンの前記開放遠位端の近位に配置され、前記オリフィスは、加圧流体が前記供給ルーメンを通って圧送されると、スプレーパターンを生成するように構成され、前記スプレーパターンは、前記吸引カテーテルの遠位端が水性環境に浸されると、前記吸引ルーメンの前記内壁面に衝突するようになっており、
前記細長いワイヤの前記遠位端は、拡張部を有し、前記細長いワイヤは、前記拡張部が血栓の少なくとも一部を破壊できるように回転可能に構成されている、システム。 - 前記血栓の少なくとも一部が、前記血栓の線維性被膜を含む、請求項26に記載のシステム。

前記オリフィスは、加圧流体が前記供給チャネルを通して圧送されると、スプレーパターンを生成するように構成され、前記スプレーパターンは、前記吸引チャネルの前記内壁面に衝突するようになっており、
前記超音波装置は、前記吸引チャネルの前記開口にあるまたは前記開口に隣接しており、約1kHz〜約20MHzの周波数で動作するように構成されている、システム。 - 患者の頭蓋に形成された開口部を通してイントロデューサを配置するステップと、
前記イントロデューサを通して、トロカールを配置するステップと、
前記トロカールを通して、超音波装置を頭蓋内空間の治療箇所へ進入させるステップと、
前記超音波装置から、約1kHz〜約20MHzの1つ以上の周波数で超音波エネルギーを送信するステップと、
