Abstract
Description
本出願は、2016年11月25日に出願された大韓民国特許出願第10−2016−0158401号及び2017年11月24日に出願された大韓民国特許出願第10−2017−0158252号に基づく優先権の利益を主張し、該当大韓民国特許出願の文献に開示されたすべての内容は本明細書の一部として組み込まれる。
本出願は、液晶フィルムセル及びその用途に関する。
E={L[120℃]−L[25℃]}/L[25℃]×100
基材フィルム及び膨張制御層に対して、TA instruments社製のQ400商品名のTMA(Thermomechanical analysis)装備を用いて、25℃〜120℃の条件下で、試料に5℃の温度を変化させつつ示される熱膨張率の変化を測定する方式で、高温膨張率を測定した。前記熱膨張率の変化は、試料の長さ変化に基づいており、実施例及び比較例の項目において膨張率は、120℃の温度で10分間放置した後に測定した膨張率を意味する。
−温度範囲:−150〜1000℃
−解像度:15nm
−感度:20nm以下
下記の製作方法によって図1の構造を有する実施例1の液晶フィルムセルを製作した。
実施例1で第2収縮性制御フィルムを除外し、第1収縮性制御フィルム51を第1基材フィルムの外部にのみ配置した以外は、実施例1と同一の方式で図2の構造を有する液晶フィルムセルを製作した。
実施例1で第1収縮性制御フィルムを除外し、第2収縮性制御フィルム52を第2基材フィルムの外部にのみ配置した以外は、実施例1と同一の方式で図3の構造を有する液晶フィルムセルを製作した。
第1及び第2収縮性制御フィルムの代りに、第1及び第2膨張性制御フィルム61、62として、120℃の温度で膨張率が10%であり、厚さが1μmであるアクリル系ポリマーフィルムを用いた以外は、実施例1と同一の方式で図4の構造を有する液晶フィルムセルを製作した。前記第1及び第2膨張性制御フィルムは、エポキシ系単量体の代りに、アクリル系単量体を5重量%で用いた以外は、実施例1の第1及び第2収縮性制御フィルムの製造方法と同一の方法で製造した。
実施例4で第2膨張性制御フィルムを除外し、第1膨張性制御フィルム61を第1基材フィルムの内部にのみ配置した以外は、実施例4と同一の方式で図5の構造を有する液晶フィルムセルを製作した。
実施例4で第1膨張性制御フィルムを除外し、第2膨張性制御フィルム62を第2基材フィルムの内部にのみ配置した以外は、実施例4と同一の方式で図6の構造を有する液晶フィルムセルを製作した。
実施例1で第1及び第2膨張制御層を積層しない以外は、実施例1と同一の方式で図7の構造を有する液晶フィルムセルを製作した。
実施例1、実施例2及び比較例1の液晶フィルムセルを恒温恒湿オーブン(votsch社製のVT3000)に120℃の温度で立てておく方式で高温耐久性及び重力の不良を評価した。図8は、実施例1の液晶フィルムセルの高温での変形を示す模式図であり、図9は、比較例1の液晶フィルムセルの高温での変形を示す模式図である。高温耐久性及び重力の不良は、液晶フィルムセルの高さに対する透過率を測定することで評価し、その結果を下記表1に記載した。

Claims (18)
- 第1基材フィルム、液晶層及び第2基材フィルムを順に含み、前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムの一面に配置され、前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムとは25℃〜120℃の温度における膨張率が異なる膨張制御層を含むことを特徴とする、液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムと前記膨張制御層との25℃〜120℃の温度における膨張率差は、−30%〜30%であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムと前記膨張制御層との25℃〜120℃の温度における膨張率の比は、1:0.7〜1:1.3であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記膨張制御層は、第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムの外部面に配置され、前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムに対して、25℃〜120℃の温度における膨張率がさらに小さい収縮性制御フィルムであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムに対する前記収縮性制御フィルムの25℃〜120℃の温度における膨張率差の絶対値は、0.1%〜30%の範囲内であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記膨張制御層は、第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムの内部面に配置され、前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムに対して、25℃〜120℃の温度における膨張率がさらに大きい膨張性制御フィルムであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムに対する前記膨張性制御フィルムの25℃〜120℃の温度における膨張率差の絶対値は、0.1%〜30%であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記膨張制御層は、第1基材フィルム及び第2基材フィルム各々の一面に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記膨張制御層は、第1基材フィルム及び第2基材フィルムのうちいずれか一方の基材フィルムの一面に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記第1基材フィルムまたは第2基材フィルムは、プラスチックフィルムを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記膨張制御層は、エポキシ系ポリマーまたはアクリル系ポリマーを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記液晶層は、液晶化合物及び異方性染料を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記液晶層は、セルギャップを維持するスペーサを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記液晶層は、側面にシーラントを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記液晶層の両面に各々配置された第1配向膜及び第2配向膜をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
- 前記液晶層の両面に各々配置された第1電極層及び第2電極層をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶フィルムセル。
