Abstract
Description
本願は、米国仮出願第62/300,336号(2016年2月26日出願、名称「Active Compression Apparatus,Methods of Assembly and Methods of Use」)の利益およびそれに対する優先権を主張し、上記出願は、その全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、概して、一般的外科手術および整形外科インプラントに関し、より具体的には、排他的ではないが、骨癒合および修復を補助するために埋め込まれるデバイスに関する。本発明は、2つの骨断片を接合するための圧縮デバイスおよびそのようなデバイスを埋め込むための関連付けられるデバイス、長い期間にわたって骨断片を圧縮および/または固定する方法、ならびにそのようなデバイスの製造に関する。
図1−3は、収縮または短縮状態において示される部材100が、骨部材101および102の中に挿入され、次いで、骨部材101および102を相互に向かわせる、または引き寄せ、圧縮軸方向張力または力を提供する、本発明の一実施形態の表現を描写する。骨部材101および102は、ともに癒合されるべき2つの片または2つの骨に破断された1つの骨を表し得る。骨は、例えば、皮質骨または海綿骨もしくはその両方であり得る。

Claims (25)
- 能動的圧縮を生成するための装置であって、前記装置は、
遠位骨係合部分と、
近位骨係合部分と、
前記近位骨係合部分と前記遠位骨係合部分との間に挿入されている中心部分と
を備え、
前記中心部分は、それを通して形成された穿孔を有し、前記穿孔は、前記装置の寸法の変化を促進する、装置。 - 前記装置は、一体型連続構造を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、カニューレ状である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記近位骨係合部分は、前記遠位骨係合部分のねじ山のピッチとは異なるピッチを有するねじ山を備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記遠位骨係合部分は、ねじ山を備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記中心部分は、ねじ山を備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記穿孔は、不均一形状を備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記穿孔は、螺旋形態を備えている、請求項1に記載の装置。

ある期間にわたって前記引張応力を解放することと、
前記引張応力の解放を通して、前記第1の骨セグメントおよび前記第2の骨セグメントを圧縮することと
を含む、方法。 - 前記カニューレ状本体の側壁を通して形成された穿孔の変形を通してカニューレ状本体に縦方向引張応力を加えることと、前記カニューレ状本体を第1の骨セグメントおよび第2の骨セグメントの中に挿入することとは、同時である、請求項17に記載の方法。

前記近位アンカ部分と前記遠位アンカ部分との間に挿入されている超弾性材料から形成された複数の支柱と、
前記複数の支柱のうちの少なくとも1つの支柱の変形を通して生成された軸方向弾性位置エネルギーを有する第1の状態と、
前記軸方向弾性位置エネルギーが前記遠位アンカ部分に対する前記近位アンカ部分の変位に対して非線形に解放する第2の状態と
