Abstract
Description
最も広くは、本発明の態様は、可能性のあるゼロ接続係数を特定し、これらを後続の処理についてゼロに設定することによって動作する、ネットワーク内のノード間の接続を特定するための方法及びシステムを提供する。
以下の議論全体を通じて、結果は、Granger因果のための特定の尺度、所謂、有向偏相関(DPC)(Eichler, 2005, 2006)について示される。しかしながら、結果は、ベクトル自己回帰プロセスに基づく任意のGranger因果尺度に適合する。
先に解析した(図1及び5)結合ホワイトノイズプロセスの15次元及び40次元ネットワークについて、上述の実施形態の方法を使用して有向偏相関を推定した。結果としてのグラフを図9及び10にそれぞれ示す。根底にある真のネットワーク構造が、両例において正確に明らかとなった。
適用例において、1人の健常ボランティアの脳波記録(EEG)データを解析する。目を閉じている間にEEG記録を得た。512Hzでシグナルをサンプリングした。10−20システムに従って20個の電極を頭皮上に設置した。データを200Hzまでダウンサンプリングし、スパース推定においてp=2のモデル次数を使用した。100sのセグメントを解析した。明らかにされた対話構造を図19に示す。健常人で予想されるとおり、脳の様々な部分の間には広範な相互接続がある。
本発明のスパース推定技術は、くり込み部分有向コヒーレンス(re-normalised partial directed coherence)(Schelteret al., 2009)のようなGranger因果のための周波数領域尺度に容易に適用可能である。これは、EEG解析において特に興味深い、異なる周波数でネットワークを調査することを可能とするであろう。
本発明の実施形態による予測方法は、多様な状況で使用可能である。上で示したとおり、これらは、EEGデータの解析において特別な用途を有し、予測されたネットワークから、データを取得した個体の認知機能のさらなる評価を行うか又は認知機能を決定することが可能である。
記載した構成成分及びユーザーの対話処理に加えて、上記実施形態のシステム及び方法は、全体として又は部分的にコンピュータシステムにおいて(特に、コンピュータハードウエア又はコンピュータソフトウエアにおいて)実現されうる。
Claims (15)
- 同時にシグナルを生成する、対話するノードのネットワークにおいて、前記ノード間の接続を特定し、接続されていると特定されたノード間の接続係数を推定する方法であって:
各ノードにおけるシグナルを所定の期間にわたって周期的に記録して、データセットを形成するステップと;
データセット中のノードの各組み合わせの間のコヒーレンス及び部分コヒーレンスを計算するステップと;
ノードの各組み合わせについて、コヒーレンス又は部分コヒーレンスのいずれかが第1の所定の閾値未満であるかをチェックし、そうである場合、後続のステップすべてについて対応する接続係数をゼロに設定するステップと;
データセットから、それについての接続係数がまだゼロに設定されていないノードの組み合わせについての接続係数を推定する、第1の推定ステップと;
前記第1の推定ステップにより第2の閾値未満であると推定された各接続係数について、後続のステップすべてについて前記係数をゼロに設定するステップと;
データセットから、それについての接続係数がまだゼロに設定されていないノードの組み合わせについての接続係数を再推定する、第2の推定ステップと
を含む、方法。 - チェックするステップが、ノードの各組み合わせについて計算されたコヒーレンス及び部分コヒーレンスの積を計算すること並びに前記積が前記第1の所定の閾値未満であるかを決定することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 推定された接続係数のための第2の閾値が:
推定された係数のユークリッド距離の二乗によって、推定された係数を2つの群、高値の係数を含む第1の群及び低値の係数を含む第2の群、に分けることと;
前記第2の閾値を、前記第2の群におけるすべての係数の値よりも大きな係数値に設定すること
により決定される、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。 - 接続係数を推定するための第1及び第2の推定ステップが、データセットの自己回帰係数を推定する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ネットワークが、疎に接続されていることが知られているか又は予測される、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 外れ値を除去するためにデータセットをスクリーニングするステップをさらに含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ノイズを除去するためにデータセットをフィルタリングするステップをさらに含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- シグナルを生成する、対話するノードのネットワークが、脳波記録(EEG)システムである、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 患者の脳機能をモニタリングする方法であって:
ある期間にわたって患者にEEG記録を実施するステップと;
請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法を使用して、EEGにおけるノードシグナル間のネットワーク接続を特定するステップと
を含む、方法。 - 脳活動のデータ記録においてネットワーク接続を特定し、ノード間の接続係数を推定するためのシステムであって:
個体の脳活動を様々な位置で所定の期間にわたり記録して、データセットを生成するための複数のセンサーと;
プロセッサであって:
データセット中のノードの各組み合わせの間のコヒーレンス及び部分コヒーレンスを計算し;
ノードの各組み合わせについて、コヒーレンス又は部分コヒーレンスのいずれかが第1の所定の閾値未満であるかをチェックし、そうである場合、後続のステップすべてについて対応する接続係数をゼロに設定し;
データセットから、それについての接続係数がまだゼロに設定されていないノードの組み合わせについての接続係数を推定し;
第2の閾値未満であると推定された各接続係数について、後続のステップすべてについて前記係数をゼロに設定し;
データセットから、それについての接続係数がまだゼロに設定されていないノードの組み合わせについての接続係数を再推定するように構成されている、プロセッサと
を含む、システム。 - プロセッサが、ノードの各組み合わせについて計算されたコヒーレンス及び部分コヒーレンスの積を計算し、前記積が前記第1の所定の閾値未満であるかを決定するように構成されている、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- プロセッサが:
推定された係数のユークリッド距離の二乗によって、推定された係数を2つの群、高値の係数を含む第1の群及び低値の係数を含む第2の群、に分けることと;
前記第2の閾値を、前記第2の群におけるすべての係数の値よりも大きな係数値に設定すること
とにより、前記第2の閾値を決定するように構成されている、請求項10又は請求項11に記載のシステム。 - プロセッサが、データセットの自己回帰係数を推定することによって接続係数を推定するように構成されている、請求項10〜12のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- プロセッサが、外れ値を除去するためにデータセットをスクリーニングするように構成されている、請求項10〜13のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- プロセッサが、ノイズを除去するためにデータセットをフィルタリングするように構成されている、請求項10〜14のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
