Claims (6)
- 第1副画素領域及び第2副画素領域を有する有機EL表示装置であって、
基板と、
前記第1副画素領域の前記基板上に配置され、第1の光を出射する第1発光膜と、
前記第2副画素領域の前記基板上に配置され、前記第1の光より波長の短い第2の光を出射する第2発光膜と、
前記第1発光膜及び前記第2発光膜の上層側に、導電性並びに光の透過特性及び反射特性を併せ持つ上部電極と、
前記第1及び第2副画素領域において、前記上部電極の上層側に、屈折率がそれぞれ異なる高屈折率膜、中屈折率膜及び低屈折率膜を含んで構成され、前記低屈折率膜は前記基板から最も遠く配置されるキャップ層と、を有し、
前記第1副画素領域の前記中屈折率膜は、前記第2副画素領域の前記中屈折率膜よりも厚く形成されることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 前記高屈折率膜は、前記キャップ層の中で前記基板から最も近く配置される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機EL表示装置。
- 前記中屈折率膜は、前記キャップ層の中で前記基板から最も近く配置される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機EL表示装置。
- 前記中屈折率膜は、Alq3、αNPDまたはLiqで形成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の有機EL表示装置。
- 前記第1及び第2発光膜から出射された波長の異なる光が、前記キャップ層と前記上部電極との間で共振するように、マイクロキャビティ構造が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の有機EL表示装置。
- さらに、前記基板上に前記第2の光より波長の短い第3の光を出射する第3発光膜と、前記上部電極と、前記キャップ層と、が配置された第3副画素領域を有し、
前記第3副画素におけるキャップ層は、前記高屈折率膜と前記低屈折率膜とを含んで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の有機EL表示装置。
