Claims (7)
- エンジンの各気筒に取り付けられた複数の排気管が一つに集合された集合部と、
前記集合部の下流側に接続されたEGR配管から排気ガスの一部を前記エンジンの吸気系に再循環させるEGR装置と、
前記エンジンの排気ガス中の酸素濃度に応じて混合気の空燃比を検出する空燃比センサと、を備え、
前記空燃比センサは、前記排気管の集合部と、前記EGR配管の接続孔との間の、再循環される排気ガスが流れる流線上に配置されていることを特徴とする空燃比センサの取付構造。 - 前記空燃比センサは、集合後の排気管の外周面を、該外周面に接続された前記EGR配管の接続孔側かつ該接続孔に対して垂直な方向から見て、前記集合部の後端の内径を幅とし、前記集合部の後端から前記EGR配管の接続孔まで、前記集合後の排気管の軸線に沿って帯状に延ばした領域を、前記集合後の排気管の外周面に対して投影した領域内に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空燃比センサの取付構造。
- 前記空燃比センサは、集合後の排気管の外周面を、該外周面に接続された前記EGR配管の接続孔側かつ該接続孔に対して垂直な方向から見て、前記EGR配管の接続孔の内径を幅とし、前記EGR配管の接続孔から前記集合部の後端まで、前記集合後の排気管の軸線に沿って帯状に延ばした領域を、前記集合後の排気管の外周面に対して投影した領域内に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空燃比センサの取付構造。
- 前記空燃比センサは、排気ガスを浄化する排気浄化触媒の上流側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の空燃比センサの取付構造。
- 前記エンジンは、一つの気筒から一度に排出される排気ガス量に対する、前記排気管の集合部までの容積の比率が、所定値よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の空燃比センサの取付構造。
- 前記エンジンは、気筒が内部に形成された複数のバンクを有し、
前記空燃比センサは、前記複数のバンクに取り付けられたすべての排気管が一つに集合された集合部の下流に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の空燃比センサの取付構造。 - 前記エンジンは、水平対向型エンジンであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の空燃比センサの取付構造。
