Abstract
Description
まず、端子付電線について説明する。図1は端子付電線10を示す斜視図であり、図2は接続前の電線12及び端子20を示す斜視図であり、図3は端子付電線10の背面図である。
端子付電線10を製造するための超音波接合装置について説明する。
端子付電線10の製造方法について、図5以下の各図を参照して説明する。なお、図5以下の各図は、説明の便宜上、各部が誇張して描かれている場合がある。
以上のように構成された端子付電線の製造方法、端子付電線10及び超音波接合装置30によると、芯線接続部23をアンビル32上に支持すると共に、被覆圧着部24を振動抑制用接触部50に接触させた状態で、露出芯線14aを芯線接続部23に超音波接合するため、超音波接合による振動が被覆圧着部24に伝わったとしても、被覆圧着部24の振動が抑制される。このため、端子20の被覆圧着部24の根本に亀裂が生じることを抑制しつつ、端子20の芯線接続部23に電線12の露出芯線14aを超音波接合できる。
なお、本実施形態では、電線12の端部に露出する露出芯線14aに端子20を圧着する例で説明したが、スプライス接続するための端子を、電線の延在方向中間部に露出する芯線に超音波接合し、かつ、端子の少なくとも一端に設けられた圧着部を被覆に圧着する場合にも適用可能である。

Claims (10)
- 芯線接続部と被覆圧着部とを有する端子の前記芯線接続部に、電線の芯線を超音波接合して端子付電線を製造する方法であって、
(a)前記芯線接続部をアンビル上に支持する工程と、
(b)前記被覆圧着部を振動抑制用接触部に接触させる工程と、
(c)前記芯線を前記芯線接続部上に配設すると共に前記電線の被覆を前記被覆圧着部内に配設する工程と、
(d)前記芯線接続部を前記アンビル上に支持すると共に、前記被覆圧着部を前記振動抑制用接触部に接触させた状態で、前記芯線を前記芯線接続部に超音波接合する工程と、
を備える端子付電線の製造方法。 - 請求項1記載の端子付電線の製造方法であって、
前記振動抑制用接触部は、前記アンビルと同じ側から前記被覆圧着部を支持する、端子付電線の製造方法。 - 請求項2に記載の端子付電線の製造方法であって、
前記被覆圧着部は、前記アンビルから前記被覆圧着部の後端側に離れた位置で前記振動抑制用接触部に接触した状態で、前記振動抑制用接触部上に支持される、端子付電線の製造方法。 - 請求項2又は請求項3に記載の端子付電線の製造方法であって、
(e)前記被覆圧着部が前記振動抑制用接触部に支持された状態で、前記振動抑制用接触部を圧着用アンビルとして前記被覆圧着部を前記被覆に圧着する工程をさらに備える端子付電線の製造方法。 - 芯線と前記芯線の周囲を覆う被覆とを含み、前記芯線の一部が前記被覆から露出した露出芯線に形成された電線と、
前記露出芯線に超音波接合された芯線接続部と、前記被覆に圧着された被覆圧着部とを含み、前記被覆圧着部のうち前記露出芯線と前記芯線接続部との接合方向における外向き面に、部分的に凹む接触痕が形成された端子と、
を備える端子付電線。 - 請求項5に記載の端子付電線であって、
前記接触痕は、前記被覆圧着部のうち前記芯線接続部から前記被覆圧着部の後端側に離れた位置に形成されている、端子付電線。 - 芯線接続部と被覆圧着部とを有する端子の前記芯線接続部に、電線の芯線を超音波接合する超音波接合装置であって、
前記芯線接続部を支持するアンビルと、
前記アンビル上に支持された前記芯線接続部上に前記芯線が重ね合された状態で、前記芯線を前記芯線接続部に向けて押付ける力を印加すると共に前記芯線と前記芯線接続部とに超音波振動を付与して、前記芯線と前記芯線接続部とを超音波接合する超音波振動付与機構と、
前記超音波振動付与機構による超音波接合中に前記被覆圧着部に接触する振動抑制用接触部と、
を備える超音波接合装置。 - 請求項7に記載の超音波接合装置であって、
前記振動抑制用接触部は、前記アンビルと同じ側から前記被覆圧着部を支持する、超音波接合装置。 - 請求項8に記載の超音波接合装置であって、
前記振動抑制用接触部は、前記アンビルから前記被覆圧着部の後端側に離れた位置で前記被覆圧着部に接触する、超音波接合装置。 - 請求項8又は請求項9に記載の超音波接合装置であって、
前記被覆圧着部が前記振動抑制用接触部に支持された状態で、前記振動抑制用接触部を圧着用アンビルとして前記被覆圧着部を前記電線の被覆に圧着するクリンパをさらに備える超音波接合装置。
