Abstract
Description
図1は、標準リムであるリム30に組み付けて標準空気圧を充填したときのタイヤ10を示している。なお、ここでいう「標準リム」とは、JATMA(日本自動車タイヤ協会)のYear Book2017年版規定のリムを指す。また、上記標準空気圧とは、JATMA(日本自動車タイヤ協会)のYear Book2017年版の最大負荷能力に対応する空気圧である。
一対のビード部12には、ワイヤ束であるビードコア26がそれぞれ埋設されている。これらのビードコア26には、カーカス14が跨っている。ビードコア26は、断面が円形や多角形状など、空気入りタイヤにおけるさまざまな構造を採用することができ、多角形としては例えば六角形を採用することができるが、本実施形態においては四角形とされている。
カーカス14は、2枚のカーカスプライ14A、14Bによって構成されたタイヤ骨格部材である。カーカスプライ14Aはタイヤ赤道面CLにおいてタイヤ径方向外側に配置されるカーカスプライであり、カーカスプライ14Bはタイヤ径方向内側に配置されるカーカスプライである。カーカスプライ14A、14Bは、それぞれ複数本のコードを被覆ゴムで被覆して形成されている。
カーカス14のタイヤ径方向外側には、ベルト層40が配設されている。図3に示すように、ベルト層40は、樹脂被覆コード42がカーカス14の外周面にタイヤ周方向に沿って螺旋状に巻かれて形成されたリング状の箍(たが)である。
ベルト層40のタイヤ径方向外側には、トレッド20が設けられている。トレッド20は、走行中に路面に接地する部位であり、トレッド20の踏面には、タイヤ周方向に延びる周方向溝50が複数本形成されている。周方向溝50の形状や本数は、タイヤ10に要求される排水性や操縦安定性等の性能に応じて適宜設定される。
タイヤサイド部22は、タイヤ径方向に延びてビード部12とトレッド20とをつなぎ、ランフラット走行時にタイヤ10に作用する荷重を負担できるように構成されている。このタイヤサイド部22においてカーカス14のタイヤ幅方向内側には、タイヤサイド部22を補強するサイド補強ゴム24が設けられている。サイド補強ゴム24は、パンクなどでタイヤ10の内圧が減少した場合に、車両及び乗員の重量を支えた状態で所定の距離を走行させるための補強ゴムである。
本実施形態に係るタイヤ10では、ベルト層40が、補強コード42Cを被覆樹脂42Sで被覆して形成されている。これにより、補強コード42Cをゴムで被覆する場合と比較して、ベルト層40の面外曲げ剛性が高くなる。すなわち、ベルト層40が、タイヤ周方向及びタイヤ幅方向に沿った環状面から、この環状面の外側(例えば図3に矢印C1、C2で示した方向)へ変形しにくくなる。これによりトレッド20が面外に変形することが抑制されるため、ランフラット走行時のトレッド20のバックリングが抑制される。

- 一対のビードコアと、
前記一対のビードコアに跨り、端部が前記ビードコアに係止されたカーカスと、
タイヤサイド部に設けられ、前記カーカスの内面に沿ってタイヤ径方向に延びるサイド補強ゴムと、
前記カーカスのタイヤ径方向外側に設けられ、コードを樹脂で被覆して形成されたベルト層と、
前記ベルト層のタイヤ径方向外側に設けられたトレッドと、
を備えるランフラットタイヤ。 - 前記ビードコアからタイヤ径方向外側へ前記カーカスの外面に沿って延びる樹脂製のビードフィラーを備えた、請求項1に記載のランフラットタイヤ。
- 前記ベルト層は、前記コードがタイヤ周方向に沿って螺旋状に巻回されて形成されている、請求項1または請求項2に記載のランフラットタイヤ。
