Abstract
Description
基材の一方の面上に形成され、第1の熱膨張性材料を含有する第1の熱膨張層と、
前記第1の熱膨張層上に形成され、第2の熱膨張性材料を含有する第2の熱膨張層と、を備え、
前記第2の熱膨張層は、白色顔料を更に含む、ことを特徴とする。
基材の一方の面上に、第1の熱膨張性材料を含有する第1の熱膨張層を形成する工程と、
前記第1の熱膨張層上に、第2の熱膨張性材料を含有する第2の熱膨張層を形成する工程と、を備え、
前記第2の熱膨張層を形成する工程では、白色顔料を含ませる、
ことを特徴とする。
本実施形態1に係る熱膨張性シート10は、図1に示すように、基材11、第1の熱膨張層12、第2の熱膨張層13及びインク受容層14を備える。第1の熱膨張層12と第2の熱膨張層13とは、熱膨張性シート10の熱膨張層を構成する。また、詳細に後述するように、熱膨張性シート10は、図3(a)〜図3(c)に概要を示す立体画像形成システム50で印刷が施され、その表面に凹凸を有する造形物(立体画像)が形成される。
次に、熱膨張性シート10の製造方法について、図2(a)〜図2(c)を用いて説明する。
まず、基材11としてシート状の材料、紙等を用意する。基材11は、ロール状であっても、予め裁断されていてもよい。
次に、本実施形態の熱膨張性シート10に立体画像を形成する立体画像形成システム50について説明する。図3(a)〜図3(c)に示すように、立体画像形成システム50は、制御ユニット51と、印刷ユニット52と、膨張ユニット53と、表示ユニット54と、天板55と、フレーム60と、を備える。図3(a)は、立体画像形成システム50の正面図であり、図3(b)は、天板55を閉じた状態における立体画像形成システム50の平面図であり、図3(c)は、天板55を開いた状態における立体画像形成システム50の平面図である。なお、図3(a)〜図3(c)において、X方向は水平方向と同一であり、Y方向はシートが搬送される搬送方向Dと同一であり、更にZ方向は鉛直方向と同一である。X方向、Y方向及びZ方向は、互いに直交する。
次に、図4に示すフローチャート及び図5(a)〜図5(e)に示す熱膨張性シート10の断面図を参照して、立体画像形成システム50によって熱膨張性シート10に立体画像を形成する処理の流れを説明する。
実施形態2に係る熱膨張性シート20について図面を用いて説明する。実施形態2に係る熱膨張性シート20が、実施形態1に係る熱膨張性シート10と異なる点は、第1の熱膨張層12と基材11との間に、第3の熱膨張層21を備える点にある。換言すれば、本実施形態では、第1の熱膨張層12、第2の熱膨張層13及び第3の熱膨張層21が、熱膨張層を構成する。実施形態1と同様の構成を採る部分については、同一の番号を付し、詳細な説明は省略する。
まず、基材11を用意する。次に、第3の熱膨張層21を形成するための塗布液を調製する。バインダ中に、熱膨張性材料を公知の分散装置を用いて分散させ、第3の熱膨張層21を形成するための塗布液を調製する。バインダと熱膨張性材料とは、第1の熱膨張層12を形成するための塗布液に用いられる材料と同じものを用いると好ましい。この際、第3の熱膨張層21におけるバインダに対する熱膨張性材料の含有率は、第1の熱膨張層12におけるバインダに対する熱膨張性材料の含有率と比較して低くされる。例えば、重量比では、1/3〜1/8程度とする。続いて、バーコータ、ローラーコータ、スプレーコータ等の方式による公知の塗布装置を用いて、塗布液を基材上に塗布し、続いて塗膜を乾燥させる。塗布及び乾燥は複数回に分けて行ってもよく、基材11の上に目標とする厚さの第3の熱膨張層21を形成する。
これにより、実施形態2に係る熱膨張性シート20が製造される。
例えば上述した各実施形態は、適宜組み合わせることが可能である。

前記第1の熱膨張層上に形成され、第2の熱膨張性材料を含有する第2の熱膨張層と、を備え、
前記第2の熱膨張層は、白色顔料を更に含む、

前記インク受容層は多孔質シリカを含む、
ことを特徴とする付記3に記載の熱膨張性シート。

前記第2の熱膨張層の厚みは、前記第1の熱膨張層の厚みと比較して薄く形成される、
ことを特徴とする付記1乃至4のいずれか1つに記載の熱膨張性シート。
[付記6]
前記第1の熱膨張性材料と前記第2の熱膨張性材料とは、同じ材料である、
ことを特徴とする付記1乃至5のいずれか1つに記載の熱膨張性シート。
[付記7]
前記第1の熱膨張性材料と前記第2の熱膨張性材料とは、殻の中に気化性物質を含むマイクロカプセルであって、
前記第2の熱膨張層の厚みは、前記マイクロカプセルの数個分に相当する厚みである、
ことを特徴とする付記1乃至6のいずれか1つに記載の熱膨張性シート。

基材の一方の面上に、第1の熱膨張性材料を含有する第1の熱膨張層を形成する工程と、
前記第1の熱膨張層上に、第2の熱膨張性材料を含有する第2の熱膨張層を形成する工程と、を備え、

- 基材の一方の面上に形成され、第1の熱膨張性材料を含有する第1の熱膨張層と、
前記第1の熱膨張層上に形成され、第2の熱膨張性材料を含有する第2の熱膨張層と、を備え、
前記第2の熱膨張層は、白色顔料を更に含む、
ことを特徴とする熱膨張性シート。 - 基材の一方の面上に形成され、第1の熱膨張性材料を含有する第1の熱膨張層と、
前記第1の熱膨張層上に形成され、第2の熱膨張性材料を含有する第2の熱膨張層と、を備え、
前記第2の熱膨張層は、酸化チタンを含む、
ことを特徴とする熱膨張性シート。 - 前記第2の熱膨張層上に、インクを受容するインク受容層を備える、
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の熱膨張性シート。 - 前記インク受容層は多孔質シリカを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の熱膨張性シート。 - 前記第2の熱膨張層の厚みは、前記第1の熱膨張層の厚みと比較して薄く形成される、
