d≦D≦L
という関係となる。蛍光体含有粒子2の粒子径Dが半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体3の粒子径d未満である場合(すなわち、D<d)には、半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体3の表面が樹脂4によって十分に保護されない場合がある。また、蛍光体含有粒子2の粒子径Dが波長変換部材1の最小厚みLより大きい場合(すなわち、D>L)には、蛍光体含有粒子2が変形破損してしまう場合があり、半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体3の保護という蛍光体含有粒子による効果が得られない。また、波長変換部材の設計形状が変形してしまう。本発明においては、蛍光体含有粒子2の粒子径Dが、半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体3の粒子径d以上であり、かつ、波長変換部材の最小厚みL以下であることで、イオン性液体に由来する構成単位を含む樹脂によって半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体を保護しながら、蛍光体含有粒子2を変形破損することなく媒体5中に分散させることができる。
2×d≦D≦1/2×L
という関係であることが好ましい。蛍光体含有粒子2の粒子径Dが半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体3の粒子径dの2倍(2×d)以上であることで、蛍光体含有粒子2が少なくとも2個の半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体3を保護することが可能となり、また、蛍光体含有粒子2の粒子径Dが波長変換部材1の最小厚みLの1/2(1/2×L)以下であることで、少なくとも2個の蛍光体含有粒子2を変形破損することなく媒体5中に分散させることができる。

Claims (10)
- 重合性官能基を有するイオン性液体に由来する構成単位を含む樹脂中に半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体が分散された蛍光体含有粒子が透光性を有する媒体中に分散された波長変換部材であって、
前記蛍光体含有粒子の粒子径が、前記半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体の粒子径以上であり、かつ、波長変換部材の最小厚み以下である、波長変換部材。 - 請求項1に記載の波長変換部材と、波長変換部材とは別体として設けられた、波長変換部材に励起光を出射する光源とを備える発光装置。
- 光源と、
前記光源の少なくとも一部を一体的に覆う波長変換部であって、重合性官能基を有するイオン性液体に由来する構成単位を含む樹脂中に半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体が分散された蛍光体含有粒子が透光性を有する媒体中に分散された波長変換部とを備え、
前記蛍光体含有粒子の粒子径が、前記半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体の粒子径以上であり、かつ、波長変換部の最小厚み以下である、発光装置。 - 前記蛍光体含有粒子の粒子径が、前記半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体の粒子径の2倍以上であり、かつ、波長変換部材または波長変換部の最小厚みの1/2以下である、請求項2または3に記載の発光装置。
- 前記蛍光体含有粒子の粒子径が1〜30μmの範囲内である、請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 前記蛍光体含有粒子が、最表面に透光性を有する被覆層を備える、請求項2〜5のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 前記被覆層を形成する材料が、3.0eV以上のバンドギャップを有する無機材料である、請求項6に記載の発光装置。
- 前記重合性官能基が(メタ)アクリル酸エステル基である、請求項2〜7のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 赤色の蛍光を発する半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体と、緑色の蛍光を発する半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体とを含む、請求項2〜8のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 前記媒体中に、前記半導体ナノ粒子蛍光体以外の蛍光体がさらに分散された、請求項2〜9のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
