Abstract
【解決手段】表示装置100は、放熱部20、光源24、液晶パネル30、制御部14を含む。光源24は、表示装置100に固定される。放熱部20は、光源24に取り付けられることによって、表示装置100に固定される。液晶パネル30は、光源24に対して移動可能である。制御部14は、液晶パネル30と光源24との間の距離を変えるように、液晶パネル30の移動を制御する。

Description
実施例を具体的に説明する前に、実施例の創出に至った経緯を述べる。本実施例は、映像を車両の前方へ虚像として表示させるヘッドアップディスプレイに使用される表示装置に関する。一般的に、運転者の位置から虚像の位置までの距離(以下、「視距離」ともいう)が通常走行時に2m程度であれば、運転者の視点移動が少なくなって虚像を安全に確認できるとされている。しかしながら、高速道路などの高速走行時において、運転者が見ている位置が通常走行時よりもさらに前方になる。そのため、高速走行時を考慮すると視距離は2mよりも長い方が好ましい。
次に、実施例2を説明する。実施例2は、実施例1と同様に、映像を車両の前方へ虚像として表示させるヘッドアップディスプレイに使用される表示装置に関する。実施例1においては、車両の速度に応じて移動筐体部を移動させている。一方、実施例2では、車両が走行している道路の種別に応じて移動筐体部を移動させる。実施例2に係る表示装置100は、図1、図2と同様のタイプである。ここでは、実施例1との差異を中心に説明する。

- 固定の光源と、
前記光源に取り付けられる放熱部と、
前記光源に対して移動可能な液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルと前記光源との間の距離を変えるように、前記液晶パネルの移動を制御する制御部と、
を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記液晶パネルの表示エリアの大きさは、前記液晶パネルと前記光源との間の距離に応じて変えられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記光源から出射される光の明るさは、前記液晶パネルと前記光源との間の距離に応じて変えられることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の表示装置。
- 本表示装置は車両に搭載され、
前記制御部は、前記車両の速度に応じて、前記液晶パネルと前記光源との間の距離を変えることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の表示装置。 - 本表示装置は車両に搭載され、
