押出
ホモポリマーポリプロピレン粉末(MFI=約7g/10分)500g、ジセチルパーオキシジカーボネート(Perkadox(登録商標)24L;(2.0phr))10g、Irganox(登録商標)1010抗酸化剤(0.1phr)0.5g及びそれぞれの量の粉末形態のシリカ(表1参照)を、スパーテルを用いてバケット中、その後、バケットミキサーで10分間混合した。化合物を、以下の設定を用いて、Thermo Scientific製のHaake Rheomex OS PTW16押出機(共回転二軸、L/D=40)を取り付けたHaake PolyLab OS RheoDrive 7システムで押し出した:
・温度プロファイル設定:ホッパー30℃、1ゾーン160℃、2〜4ゾーン190℃、5〜6ゾーン200℃、7〜10ゾーン210℃。
・スクリュー回転数:280rpm。
・スループット:1.4kg/時間、Brabender重力スクリューフィーダタイプDDW−MD2−DSR28−10によって添加。
・窒素をホッパー(3.5L/分)及びダイ(9L/分)でパージした。
乾燥した顆粒から、190℃のFontijne 200kNプレス及び30℃のFontijne 400kNプレス(再度冷却するため)を用いて、2枚のPET箔と2枚の外側金属板との間で1mmシート(及び100μmフィルム)を圧縮した。
適用した条件は以下であった:

1mmシート(及び100μmフィルム)を顕微鏡下で評価した。シート(及びフィルム)を、23℃でPET箔の中間において適当な時間保管した。
倍率32倍を適用した。
メルトフローインデックス(MFI)をISO 1133(230℃/2.16kg負荷)によりGoettfert Melt Indexer MI−3で測定した。MFIはg/10分で表される。
溶融強度(MS)を、以下の構成及び設定を用いて、製造業者の指示により、Goettfert Rheotens 71.97と組み合わせたGoettfert Rheograph 20(細管式レオメータ)で測定した(cNで)。
Rheograph:
・温度:220℃
・溶融時間:10分
・ダイ:細管、長さ30mm、直径2mm
・バレルチャンバー及びピストン:直径15mm
・ピストン速度:0.32mm/秒、せん断速度72秒−1に相当する。
・メルトストランド(melt strand)速度(開始時):20mm/秒
Rheotens:
・車輪(ストランド)加速度:10mm/秒2
・バレルから中央車輪までの距離:100mm
・ストランド長:70mm
表1の押し出し、乾燥した化合物から調製した1mmシートを、シート調製の10週間後にブルーミングについて評価した。
異なる量の沈降シリカを用いたことを除いて、実施例1を繰り返した。表2の押し出し、乾燥した化合物の1mmシートを、シート調製の2週間後に評価した。
別のホモポリマーポリプロピレン粉末等級を用いた(MFI=約12g/10分)ことを除いて、実施例1を繰り返した。表3の押し出し、乾燥した化合物の1mmシートを、シート調製の10週間後にブルーミングについて評価した。
Claims (18)
- ポリプロピレンを、前記ポリプロピレンの重量基準で0.3〜3重量%の、12〜20個の炭素原子のアルキル基を有するジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートの存在下、150℃〜300℃の間の温度で熱処理することによって、ポリプロピレンの溶融強度を増強する方法であって、LiAlH4滴定によって測定される少なくとも1.0mmol Si−OH基/gのシラノール基濃度を有する親水性シリカが、0.5超のSi−OH/ジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートのモル比で、前記熱処理前、処理中又は処理後に前記ポリプロピレンに添加される、方法。
- Si−OH/ジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートの前記モル比が0.9超である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- Si−OH/ジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートの前記モル比が1.0超である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートがジセチルパーオキシジカーボネート又はジミリスチルパーオキシジカーボネートである、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートがジセチルパーオキシジカーボネートである、請求項4に記載の方法。
- Si−OH/パーオキシジカーボネートの前記モル比が1.0〜8.0の範囲にある、請求項3に記載の方法。
- Si−OH/パーオキシジカーボネートの前記モル比が1.0〜3.5の範囲にある、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 水の非存在下で行われる、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 極性溶媒の非存在下で行われる、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ヒドロキシエチルアクリレート及びヒドロキシエチルメタクリレートの非存在下で行われる、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 極性基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーの非存在下で行われる、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- エチレン性不飽和モノマーの非存在下で行われる、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 押出機で行われる、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記温度が160〜250℃である、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記親水性シリカが前記熱処理前又は処理中に添加される、請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートと、LiAlH4滴定によって測定される少なくとも1.0mmol Si−OH基/gのシラノール基濃度を有する親水性シリカとを含む固体配合物であって、前記親水性シリカ濃度が親水性シリカとジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートの合計重量基準で0.1〜50重量%である、固体配合物。
- 前記ジアルキルパーオキシジカーボネートがジセチルパーオキシジカーボネートである、請求項16に記載の固体配合物。
- ポリプロピレンをさらに含む、請求項16又は17に記載の固体配合物。
