Abstract
Description

この方法は、多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンを含む少なくとも一方の塩を、水と、中に浸漬された核燃料棒の少なくとも一部分とを有するプールに加える工程を含む。
多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの少なくとも一方を含む水溶液と、
水溶液に浸漬された核燃料棒の少なくとも一部分と、を含む貯蔵プールを提供する。
Claims (15)
- 原子炉炉心の外部に核燃料を格納する方法であって、
多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの少なくとも一方を含む水溶液を含む貯蔵プール内に核燃料棒の少なくとも一部分を浸漬する工程、又は、
多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンを含む塩を、水と、中に浸漬された核燃料棒の少なくとも一部分とを含む貯蔵プールに加える工程のうちの少なくとも一方を含み、前記塩を加える工程は、多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの少なくとも一方を含む水溶液を提供する、方法。 - 多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの少なくとも一方を含む水溶液と、
前記水溶液に浸漬された核燃料棒の少なくとも一部分と、を含む、貯蔵プール。 - 前記核燃料棒又はその前記一部分が、使用済み燃料棒若しくはその一部分、又は使用燃料棒若しくはその一部分である、請求項1又は2に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 前記核燃料棒又はその前記一部分が、新品燃料棒又はその一部分である、請求項1又は2に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 原子炉炉心を整備する方法であって、前記原子炉炉心からの少なくとも1つの使用燃料棒を、多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの少なくとも一方を含む水溶液を含む貯蔵プールに収容する工程を含む、方法。
- 前記貯蔵プールが、前記核燃料棒又はその一部分の上に少なくとも20フィート(6.1メートル)の前記水溶液を有する、請求項1、2又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 前記貯蔵プールが、前記核燃料棒又はその一部分が配置されるラックを更に含む、請求項1、2又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 前記多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの前記少なくとも一方が、10Bに富んでいる、請求項1、2又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法及び貯蔵プール。
- 前記多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの前記少なくとも一方が、B10H10 2−、B11H14 −、CB11H12 −、又はB12H12 2−のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1、2又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法及び貯蔵プール。
- 前記水溶液が、多面体水素化ホウ素アニオンを含む、請求項1、2又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 前記多面体水素化ホウ素アニオンが、B10H10 2−又はB11H12 2−のうちの少なくとも一方を含む、請求項10に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 前記多面体水素化ホウ素アニオンが、Li2B10H10、Na2B10H10、K2B10H10、(NH4)2B10H10、LiB11H14、NaB11H14、KB11H14、(NH4)B11H14、Li2B12H12、Na2B12H12、K2B12H12、(NH4)2B12H12、及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される溶解塩によって提供される、請求項10に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 前記多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの前記少なくとも一方が、溶解された第I族塩又はアンモニウム塩によって提供される、請求項1、2又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法及び貯蔵プール。
- 前記第I族塩又はアンモニウム塩が、少なくとも25重量パーセントのホウ素を有する、請求項13に記載の方法又は貯蔵プール。
- 前記多面体水素化ホウ素アニオン又はカルボランアニオンのうちの前記少なくとも一方が、20℃で溶液100グラム当たり少なくとも15グラムの水溶液を有する溶解塩によって提供される、請求項1、2又は5のいずれか一項に記載の方法及び貯蔵プール。
