Abstract
Description
R1[O(CH2CH(CH3)O)mR2]n I
表3は、バリウム塩腐食阻害剤を用いた比較例配合物を、24時間のASTM D665A試験の腐食試験結果と共に列挙している。各構成成分についての数値は、400gの配合物の重量%である。腐食試験結果は、合格(P)または不合格(F)のいずれかである。
表4は、カルシウム塩腐食阻害剤を用いた実施例配合物を、24時間のASTM D665A試験の腐食試験結果と共に列挙している。
表6は、実施例10〜12及び比較例H〜Jの配合物、ならびに4時間、24時間、及び48時間のASTM D665B試験に関する試験結果を列挙している。配合物は全て、カルシウム塩腐食阻害剤を含む。実施例はOSPを含むが、一方で比較例はOSPを含まない。配合物のそれぞれが、IRGANOX L57を含む。
表7は、実施例13〜15及び比較例Kの配合物、ならびに4時間、24時間、及び48時間のASTM D665B試験に関する試験結果を列挙している。配合物は全て、カルシウム塩腐食阻害剤を含む。実施例は、濃度が性能に影響を及ぼすかどうかを判定するために、異なる濃度のOSPを含んでいる。
比較例Cを、1重量%のNa−Sul Ca−50をNa−Sul 611の代わりに使用したことと、UCON LB−165の濃度を0.5%減少させて66.48%にしたことを除いて、繰り返した。Na−Sul Ca−50は、ジノニルナフタレンスルホネートのカルシウム塩であるが、いかなるカルボキシレートの画分も含有しない。結果として得られた配合物(実施例16)は、ASTM D665A腐食試験に合格した。この結果は、ジノニルナフタレンスルホネートのカルシウム塩の種類は、本発明の特徴である向上された腐食阻害性にとって重要ではない可能性が高いことを示す。
いくつかの異なる分子量のアルコール開始プロピレンオキシド及びブチレンオキシドコポリマーOSPを、ニトリルブタジエンゴム(グレードタイプ72 NBR 902)を膨潤させるそれらの能力について試験した。試験は、DIN ISO 1817試験方法を用いて行った。この試験方法において、エラストマーは、100℃の温度で1000時間の期間、OSP中に完全に沈められる。エラストマーにおける体積増加の程度を報告する。OSPは、The Dow Chemical CompanyからUCONの商標名の下に市販されているものである。試験結果を表8に示す。
Claims (10)
- アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマーと、前記アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマー以外の油溶性ポリアルキレングリコールと、ジノニルナフタレンスルホネートのカルシウム塩とを含む潤滑剤であって、総潤滑剤重量に基づいて、10重量パーセント未満のポリオールエステルを含有することによって更に特徴付けられる、前記潤滑剤。
- 前記アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマーが、ブタノール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマーであることによって更に特徴付けられる、請求項1に記載の前記潤滑剤。
- 前記アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマー以外の前記油溶性ポリアルキレングリコールが、プロピレンオキシド及びブチレンオキシドのアルコール開始ランダムコポリマーであることによって更に特徴付けられる、請求項1または2のいずれかに記載の前記潤滑剤。
- 前記アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマー以外の前記油溶性ポリアルキレングリコールが、モル当たり1400グラム未満の数平均分子量を有することによって更に特徴付けられる、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の前記潤滑剤。
- 前記アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマーの濃度が、前記総潤滑剤重量に基づいて、50重量パーセント超であることによって更に特徴付けられる、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の前記潤滑剤。
- ジノニルナフタレンスルホネートのカルシウム塩の濃度が、総潤滑剤重量に基づいて、0.25〜1重量パーセントの範囲であることによって更に特徴付けられる、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の前記潤滑剤。
- バリウム含有物質を含まないことによって更に特徴付けられる、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の前記潤滑剤。
- 前記アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマーがブタノール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマーであり、前記アルコール開始プロピレンオキシドホモポリマー以外の前記油溶性ポリアルキレングリコールが、プロピレンオキシド及びブチレンオキシドのドデカノール開始ランダムコポリマーであり、前記プロピレンオキシド及びブチレンオキシドが、50/50の重量比で共重合される、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の前記潤滑剤。
- 圧縮機を潤滑するための方法であって、前記圧縮機に請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の前記潤滑剤を添加するステップを含む、前記方法。
- 前記圧縮機が、回転スクリュー空気圧縮機である、請求項9に記載の前記方法。
