Abstract
【解決手段】−2インチ(−5.08cm)≦Δx≦10インチ(25.4cm)で画定される範囲内の値を有する連結距離Δxで第1の直動式熱風(CCHA)乾燥を行い、10%以下の乾燥度を有する部分乾燥セラミック生地を形成する。その後、マイクロ波乾燥と少なくとも1回の第2のCCHA乾燥との少なくとも一方を行うことにより、部分乾燥セラミック生地を少なくとも98%の目標乾燥度まで乾燥させる。0%〜10%の乾燥度のセラミック生地は、損失正接tan(δ)=ε’’/ε’≧0.05を画定する誘電率ε=ε’+iε’’を有する。

Claims (5)
- 多数の長手方向オープンセルと、互いに反対側の導入端および排出端とを有する押出成形セラミック生地の乾燥方法において:
前記セラミック生地を乾燥させて、10%以下の乾燥度を有する部分乾燥セラミック生地を形成するステップであって、乾燥が、−2インチ(−5.08cm)≦Δx≦10インチ(25.4cm)で画定される範囲内の値を有する連結距離Δxで第1の直動式熱風(CCHA)乾燥を行うことを含むステップ;及び
前記部分乾燥セラミック生地を少なくとも98%の目標乾燥度まで乾燥させて乾燥セラミック生地を形成するステップであって、前記部分乾燥セラミック生地を乾燥させる処理が、マイクロ波乾燥と少なくとも1回の第2のCCHA乾燥との少なくとも一方を行うことを含むステップ;
を含み;
0%〜10%の乾燥度の前記セラミック生地は、損失正接tan(δ)=ε’’/ε’≧0.05を画定する誘電率ε=ε’+iε’’を有することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記部分乾燥セラミック生地を乾燥させる処理が、少なくとも1回のマイクロ波乾燥を行うことを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第1のCCHA乾燥が、前記セラミック生地が水平方向に配置されている間に行われることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の方法。
- Δx<0であることを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項記載の方法。
- 1つまたは複数のチャネルを有する空気案内装置を備えたCCHA乾燥システムを使用し、前記1つまたは複数のチャネルに熱風を通すステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4いずれか1項記載の方法。
