Claims (2)
- 円柱状のシャンク部とこれと一体の刃部を備えたエンドミルの再利用方法であって、
前記エンドミルは、軸方向と直交する断面において、前記刃部の外刃に前記シャンク部の直径と同一径の円の一部であるマージンが形成されたものであり、
前記エンドミルの母材は、同軸度が前記刃部に求められる同軸度の精度となるように予め加工したものであり、
前記シャンク部は、前記母材を切削することなく残した未加工の部分であり、
前記マージンは、前記母材を切削して前記外刃を形成する際に前記母材を切削することなく残した前記母材の外周面の一部であり、
前記刃部が寿命になったときに、前記刃部を切断し、前記シャンク部の外周面の一部を切削することなく前記マージンとして残したまま、前記シャンク部に前記切断した刃部と同軸度の精度及び外径が同一の新たな刃部を加工することを特徴とするエンドミルの再利用方法。 - 前記シャンク部に、前記刃部の切断の切断位置を示すラインを、あらかじめ前記シャンク部の外周に沿って形成しておく請求項1に記載のエンドミルの再利用方法。
