Abstract
【解決手段】 複数のスパイン及び膜部材によって固定される小孔に安定して位置することができる遠位電極アセンブリを有する、肺静脈隔離術に適合されたカテーテル。予備成形され、かつ可撓性のスパインは、遠位電極アセンブリが小孔に接近するときに、膜を凹構成で支持し、スパイン及び膜部材は、小孔の全体に及ぶようにサイズ設定され構成されている。遠位電極アセンブリが小孔に押し込まれると、膜部材は、弾性的に変形し、ほぼ裏返しになり、膜部材の接触面上に担持される表面電極及び小孔と接触するためにスパイン上で担持される環電極を露出させる。この膜部材は、膨張されてもよい。環電極は、小孔の軸線に沿って組織と接触する。表面電極は、小孔の径方向線に沿って組織と接触する。

Description
(1) カテーテルであって、

各スパインの少なくとも一部の上に広がる膜部材であって、少なくとも1つの表面電極を備える第1の表面を有する、膜部材を有する、遠位電極アセンブリと、を備え、
前記遠位電極アセンブリが組織と接触しないときに、前記膜部材が遠位凹面を画定し、前記遠位電極アセンブリが組織と接触するときに、前記膜部材が遠位凸面を画定する、カテーテル。
(19) 前記膜部材が、膨張するように構成されている、実施態様18に記載のカテーテル。
(20) 前記膜部材が、前記スパインに沿って細分され、別々のポケットを提供する、実施態様19に記載のカテーテル。
前記遠位凹面が小孔に面し、前記スパインの前記遠位端が、前記小孔を概ね包囲する組織と接触し、前記膜部材が前記小孔にわたって広がっている状態で、前記遠位電極アセンブリを前記小孔上に位置付けることと、
前記カテーテルシャフトを遠位方向に押し、前記スパインを撓ませ、前記膜部材を前記小孔内で反転させることによって、前記遠位電極アセンブリを前記小孔の中に進め、これによって、前記少なくとも1つの表面電極を前記小孔と接触させて配置することと、を含む、方法。
(22) 前記膜部材を膨張させることを更に含む、実施態様21に記載の方法。
Claims (20)
- カテーテルであって、
細長いカテーテルシャフトであって、それを通る少なくとも1つの管腔を有し、長手方向軸を画定する、カテーテルシャフトと、
展開構成を取るように構成された遠位電極アセンブリであって、概ね直線状の近位部分及び前記長手方向軸に向かって湾曲した遠位部分をそれぞれが有する複数のスパインと、各スパインの少なくとも一部の上に広がり、前記アセンブリが前記展開構成にあるときに遠位凹面を画定する膜部材と、を有する、遠位電極アセンブリと、を備える、カテーテル。 - 前記膜部材が、外円周縁部を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記膜部材が、前記遠位電極アセンブリを通る軸開口部を画定する内円周縁部を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 少なくとも1つのスパインが、少なくとも1つの環電極を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記遠位電極アセンブリが、しぼんだ構成も有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記遠位電極アセンブリが展開構成にあるときに、前記膜部材が開き、前記遠位電極アセンブリがしぼんだ構成にあるときに、前記膜部材が折り畳まれている、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記膜部材が、小孔組織と接触するときに、前記遠位凹面を遠位凸面に反転させるように構成されている、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記膜部材が、少なくとも1つの表面電極を備える第1の表面と、表面電極がない第2の表面とを有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第1の表面が、少なくとも1つの周方向領域に沿って小孔組織と接触するように構成された複数の表面電極を有する、請求項8に記載のカテーテル。
- 各スパインが、それぞれの軸線に沿って小孔組織と接触するように構成された複数の環電極を有する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記膜部材が、膨張するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記膜部材が、第1の層と、第2の層とを有する、請求項11に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記膜部材が、折り畳まれた管状膜材料を備える、請求項11に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記複数のスパインが、約3〜10個の範囲である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記複数のスパインが、約4〜5個の範囲である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記膜部材が、隣接する、対になったスパインの間に延在する少なくとも1つの支持帯を含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記少なくとも1つの帯が、事前成形された構成を有する、請求項16に記載のカテーテル。
- カテーテルであって、
細長いカテーテルシャフトであって、それを通る少なくとも1つの管腔を有し、長手方向軸を画定する、カテーテルシャフトと、
遠位電極アセンブリであって、
