Claims (7)
- 車体の前端あるいは後端に車幅方向に配置されたバンパービーム(13)を、少なくとも車幅方向に配向された連続繊維を含む繊維強化樹脂で構成した車両用バンパービームであって、
前記バンパービーム(13)は、車幅方向中央に位置して前後方向外側に突出する中央部分(13a)と、前記中央部分(13a)の車幅方向両端から前後方向内側に傾斜する左右の外側部分(13b)とを備え、前記左右の外側部分(13b)に前後方向外側に突出する樹脂発泡材(16)を設けたことを特徴とする車両用バンパービーム。 - 前記樹脂発泡材(16)は車幅方向内側に延びて前記外側部分(13b)の車幅方向外面に接続される倒れ防止部(16j)を備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両用バンパービーム。
- 前記樹脂発泡材(16)を前記バンパービーム(13)に支持すべく、前記樹脂発泡材(16)は前記バンパービーム(13)に形成した嵌合凸部(17i)に嵌合する嵌合凹部(16b)を備え、前記嵌合凹部(16b)の内面に前記嵌合凸部(17i)の圧入により潰れる複数のビード(16f)を突設したことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両用バンパービーム。
- 前記バンパービーム(13)は前記樹脂発泡材(16)の車幅方向外側に位置するハニカム構造部(17)を備え、前記嵌合凸部(17i)を前記ハニカム構造部(17)と一体に形成したことを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の車両用バンパービーム。
- 前記ハニカム構造部(17)は、前記樹脂発泡材(16)に当接して該樹脂発泡材(16)を位置決めする位置決め部(17c,17g)を備えることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の車両用バンパービーム。
- 前記樹脂発泡材(16)を前記バンパービーム(13)に支持すべく、前記樹脂発泡材(16)は前記バンパービーム(13)に形成した嵌合リブ(17d,17e,17f)に嵌合する嵌合溝(16c,16d,16e)を備えることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の車両用バンパービーム。
- 請求項4に記載の車両用バンパービームの製造方法であって、
車幅方向に配向された連続繊維を含む繊維強化樹脂製であってコ字状断面を有するバンパービーム本体部(14)と、前記バンパービーム本体部(14)の開口部の外周に連なる不連続繊維強化樹脂製のフランジ(15)とを一体にスタンピング成形する工程と、
前記嵌合凸部(17i)を一体に有する前記ハニカム構造部(17)を前記バンパービーム本体部(14)および前記フランジ(15)に跨がるように射出成形する工程と、
前記樹脂発泡材(16)の前記嵌合凹部(16b)を前記嵌合凸部(17i)に嵌合することで該樹脂発泡材(16)を前記バンパービーム(13)に取り付ける工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする車両用バンパービームの製造方法。
