Description
Claims (5)
- 立方フィート当たり少なくとも8ポンドの密度を有する圧縮されたミネラルウールの俵を開俵ステーションに送達すること;

前記開俵ステーションと、混合タンク、機械的手段、または気流と、所望により、前記タンクの入口までの経路に沿って解綿された繊維を導くように配置された単数または複数のコンベヤとの間の経路におけるステーションで、前記ミネラルウール俵の繊維を前記機械的手段および所望により気流によって機械的に解綿すること;
前記繊維が前記タンク入口を通る前に、前記繊維を立方フィート当たり2ポンド未満の略均一な密度まで解綿するように前記繊維解綿手段を配置すること;及び
前記解綿されたミネラル繊維を前記混合タンクに入れて水中に懸濁された結合剤と接触させること
を含む、吸音天井タイル用のベースマットを水フェルト化するために希釈水スラリーを形成する方法。 - 前記気流は、大気圧より高い気圧で動作する空気供給源により形成される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 気流は、前記経路内に大気圧より低い空気圧を発生させるように動作する吸引装置により形成される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ウェットフェルト化されたベースマットの製造に使用される結合剤および所望により他の構成材料は、前記解綿されたミネラル繊維が誘導される回転ブレードによって機械的に前記タンク内で混合される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記混合タンクの内容物は、前記解綿されたミネラル繊維が前記タンクに受け取られたときに排出され、前記混合ブレードでの攪拌による前記解綿されたミネラル繊維の小塊形成および破壊が回避される、請求項4に記載の方法。
