Abstract
Description
(a)物品を収容している密閉チャンバを大気圧より低い圧力P1まで排気する;
(b)密閉チャンバ内で滅菌剤の所望の初期レベルを達成するのに十分な、予め定められた量の滅菌剤蒸気を密閉チャンバ内へ注入する;
(c)密閉チャンバを圧力P1と同程度まで排気する;
(d)チャンバ内の圧力を大気圧より低い予め定められた第2の圧力P2へと上昇させるのに有効な量で、滅菌剤蒸気のみを密閉チャンバ内へ導入する;
(e)チャンバ内の滅菌剤蒸気の半減期の2倍以下である予め定められた期間にわたって、滅菌剤蒸気の導入された量を密閉チャンバ全体および物品へと拡散させる;
(f)チャンバ内の圧力を大気圧より低い第3の圧力P3へと圧縮期間内で上昇させるのに有効な量で、圧縮用ガスを密閉チャンバへと導入し、このとき、第3の圧力は、実質的に第2の圧力より大きいものとし、第3の圧力と第2の圧力との間の圧力差は、拡散された滅菌剤蒸気が拡散済みの蒸気よりもさらに物品へと吹き付けられて滅菌剤蒸気が実質的に物品に浸透するようになるのに有効な程度とする;
(g)物品の滅菌が達成されるまで工程(c)から(f)を繰り返す。
Claims (4)
- 低蒸気圧滅菌剤を用いて物品を滅菌する方法であって、以下の工程を含む方法:
(a)物品を収容している密閉チャンバを大気圧より低い圧力P1まで排気する;
(b)前記チャンバ内で滅菌剤の所望の初期レベルを達成するのに十分な、予め定められた量の滅菌剤を前記チャンバ内へ注入する;
(c)前記密閉チャンバを圧力P1と同程度まで排気する;
(d)チャンバ内の圧力を大気圧より低い予め定められた第2の圧力P2へと上昇させるのに有効な量で、滅菌剤蒸気のみを密閉チャンバ内へ導入する;
(e)チャンバ内の滅菌剤蒸気の半減期の2倍以下である予め定められた期間にわたって、滅菌剤蒸気の導入された量を密閉チャンバ全体および物品へと拡散させる;
(f)チャンバ内の圧力を大気圧より低い第3の圧力P3へと圧縮期間内で上昇させるのに有効な量で、圧縮用ガスを密閉チャンバへと導入し、このとき、第3の圧力は、実質的に第2の圧力より大きいものとし、第3の圧力と第2の圧力との間の圧力差は、拡散された滅菌剤蒸気が拡散済みの蒸気よりもさらに物品へと吹き付けられて滅菌剤蒸気が実質的に物品に浸透するようになるのに有効な程度とする;
(g)物品の滅菌が達成されるまで工程(c)から(f)を繰り返す。 - 工程(b)において注入される予め定められた滅菌剤の量が、工程(d)において導入される滅菌剤蒸気の10%程度あるいはそれより多量である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)において注入される予め定められた滅菌剤の量が、工程(d)において導入される滅菌剤蒸気の10%〜30%程度である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)において注入される予め定められた滅菌剤の量が、工程(d)において導入される滅菌剤蒸気と等しい、請求項1に記載の方法。
