Claims (18)
- 高温で使用可能なセラミックマトリックス複合材であって、
ケイ素を含むセラミック基板と、
ケイ素含有ボンドコートを含む耐環境保護コーティング系と、
基板とケイ素ボンドコートの間の拡散バリア層と
を備えており、拡散バリア層が、基板からボンドコートへのホウ素及び不純物の拡散を防止又は低減する、セラミックマトリックス複合材。 - 前記基板がSiC−SiCセラミックマトリックス複合材を含む、請求項1記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 前記マトリックスがケイ素と炭化ケイ素を含む、請求項1又は請求項2記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 前記ケイ素が、ホウ素以外の不純物を合計1原子%未満の濃度でしか含まない、請求項3記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 前記複合材がケイ素の溶融含浸で作られる、請求項3又は請求項4記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 基板中のケイ素の不純物濃度が約1%未満である、請求項1又は請求項2記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 前記拡散バリア層が炭化ケイ素又は窒化ケイ素であり、約1μm〜約150μmの厚さである、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 前記セラミックマトリックス複合材が最大約2550°Fの温度で融解せずに使用可能であり、前記ボンドコートが最大約2570°Fの温度で融解せずに使用可能である、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 基板の熱膨張率と耐環境保護コーティング系の熱膨張率との差が約20%以下である、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 前記基板がセラミックマトリックス複合材であり、EBCボンドコートが約10μm〜約500μmの厚さを有し、拡散バリアの厚さが約1μm〜約150μmである、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材。
- 高温で使用可能なタービンエンジン部品の製造方法であって、
ケイ素含有基板であって、ホウ素以外の不純物が実質的に除去されている基板を用意する工程と、
部品の外面の少なくとも一部分に、耐環境保護コーティング系のボンドコートであって、ケイ素を含有していて第2の熱膨張率を有するボンドコートを設ける工程と、
ケイ素含有基板と耐環境保護コーティングを互いに分離するように炭化物又は窒化物の拡散バリアをケイ素含有基板と耐環境保護コーティングの間に設ける工程とを含む、方法。 - 基板がSiC−SiCセラミックマトリックス複合材料を含む、請求項11記載の方法。
- 炭化物又は窒化物の拡散バリア層が結晶質であり、基板を耐環境保護コーティング系のボンドコートから分離する炭化物又は窒化物の層が、約1μm〜約150μmの厚さである、請求項11又は12記載の方法。
- セラミックマトリックス複合材が、最大約2550°Fの温度で融解せずに使用可能であり、ボンドコートが最大約2570°Fの温度で融解せずに使用可能である、請求項11乃至請求項13のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 基板がセラミックマトリックス複合材であり、ボンドコートが約10μm〜約500μmの厚さを有する、請求項11乃至請求項14のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 基板中の不純物濃度が約1%未満である、請求項11乃至請求項15のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 不純物濃度が約0.1%未満である、請求項16記載の方法。
- 耐環境保護コーティングのボンドコートがケイ素とオキサイドの混合層を含む、請求項11乃至請求項17のいずれか1項記載の方法。
