Claims (9)
- 工具被加工物自体よりも硬い材料で被加工物の外面と同一平面に内張りされた筒状開口部(12)を含む二層材の被加工物(11)を回転式ミーリング工具で機械加工する二層材機械加工方法であって、
前記回転式ミーリング工具は、前記筒状開口部(12)の中へ軸方向にプランジングが行われるシングルパスで、前記被加工物に形成される荒仕上げのボアと前記内張り部に形成される荒仕上げのボアとがむき出しになった二層材カウンタボアを前記開口部(12)の頂部に作製するとともに、前記筒状開口部(12)の中央に向いた面取り部(16)を前記内張り部(13)の上端に作製することを特徴とする二層材機械加工方法。 - 前記カウンタボアの作製及び面取り部の作製はそれぞれ、カウンタボア作製先端部(8)と、前記カウンタボア作製先端部に対して軸方向にオフセットされていて、材料の厚さ方向に前者よりも深く侵入する面取り先端部(9)とによって実現されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二層材機械加工方法。
- 前記回転式ミーリング工具のパスの結果が、前記被加工物(11)の材料に形成される直線的エッジ(14b)と平坦な底部(14a)とを有するボアと、前記内張り部(13)とであり、前記内張り部(13)には、前記筒状開口部(12)の中央に向いた面取り部(16)が斜めに形成されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の二層材機械加工方法。
- 前記面取り部(16)の公称高さは、前記回転式ミーリング工具の先端部(8、9)間の軸方向のオフセットに一致することを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の二層材機械加工方法。
- 前記被加工物(11)は、アルミニウム製の内燃エンジンのシリンダーブロックであり、前記シリンダーブロックのシリンダー(12)は、鋳鉄製の内張り材(13)で内張りされたものであることを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の二層材機械加工方法。
- 二層材の被加工物(11)の面を機械加工するための回転式機械加工工具であって、前記被加工物の面(11a)に対して開放している筒状開口部(12)であって、前記被加工物よりも硬い材料(13)で内張り部が形成された筒状開口部(12)の軸と同軸であるボアを、プランジングによって作製し、回転式機械加工工具は、第1の一連の三角形カウンタボア作製先端部(8)を備え、前記第1の一連の三角形カウンタボア作製先端部により、前記被加工物に平坦な底部を有するとともに前記内張り部に平坦な底部を有するボアを作製するようにし、さらに回転式機械加工工具は、前記第1の一連の三角形カウンタボア作製先端部(8)に対して工具本体の軸方向にオフセットされた四角形の第2の一連の面取り先端部(9)を備え、前記四角形の第2の一連の面取り先端部(9)により、前記内張り材(13)の材料の中へ更に深く侵入して、前記開口部(12)の内部に向いた面取り部(16)を前記内張り材(13)の材料の上端に作製するようにしたことを特徴とする、回転式機械加工工具。
- 正反対に対峙する2つのカウンタボア作製先端部(8)と、正反対に対峙する2つの面取り先端部(9)とを含むことを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の回転式機械加工工具。
- 前記面取り部(16)の公称高さは、前記先端部(8、9)間の軸方向のオフセット(e)によって決まることを特徴とする、請求項6又は7に記載の回転式機械加工工具。
- 前記先端部(8、9)間が軸方向にオフセットされていて、シングルパスで、アルミニウム製の内燃エンジンのシリンダーブロック(11)であって、シリンダーが鋳鉄製の内張り材(13)で内張りされている、シリンダーブロックの表面を機械加工するとともに、前記シリンダーの内側に向いた面取り部(16)を前記内張り材(13)の上端に斜めに形成することを特徴とする、請求項6から8のいずれか一項に記載の回転式機械加工工具。
