Abstract
Description
−尿を用いて自己プライミングによってオイル混合物を尿測定システムの内面に適用するステップ。
本発明の内容において、以下の用語および表現が、以下の意味を有して使用される。
尿は、人工表面上、特に尿測定システム内部の表面上で非常に攻撃的であり得る体液である。本発明による尿測定システムは、患者のカテーテル、測定チャンバ、及び収集バッグに接続された管類システムを含む閉じたシステムであり得る。尿測定システムは、患者の身体の外側に位置している。管類システムは、尿を、尿膀胱から測定チャンバまで導き、ここで、容量性、非接触性のセンサーシステムが測定チャンバの壁を通して信号を感知し、それ故体積を計算する。チャンバの壁は、好ましくは医療機器等級で容易に得られる堅いポリマー材料である。尿は測定された後で、収集バッグに好ましくは収集される。そのような収集バッグは柔軟なポリマー材料で好ましくは作られており、測定チャンバの体積より顕著に大きい体積を有している。
図1a及び1bを参照すると、本発明は、持続した測定機能及び精度を改善するために、尿測定システムの表面に物質を適用することを教示している。

オイル解放装置は、水溶性材料で作られたカプセルの壁を含むカプセル105として、好ましくは実装される。カプセルは、オイルの量をカプセル化する。カプセルは、円筒形、半球の端部を有する円筒形、球、楕円(oval)、及び楕円(elliptical)の群、または丸みを帯びた形状の正六面体及びタブレットの群、または、目的に適したいかなる形状の群から好ましくは選択される形状である。
オイルは、目的によって選択されるオイルである。粘度は、最大でも600centiStoke(cSt、mm2/s)であり得る。粘度は、好ましくは200から600centiStoke(cSt、mm2/s)の範囲にある。粘度は、より好ましくは300から400centiStoke(cSt、mm2/s)の範囲にある。粘性は、さらにより好ましくは345から355centiStoke(cSt、mm2/s)の範囲にある。最大でも600cSt、またはこれらの範囲にある粘度を有するオイルは、尿の上で散布されて、尿の上でオイルの層を形成する。オイルは、尿の表面にわたって散布される。そのような粘度を有するオイルは、尿の上で散布されて、尿測定システムの内面と接触し、上述した方法で、尿測定システムの内面に適用される。高すぎる粘度は、尿の表面にわたって散布されず、その結果、尿測定システムの内面と接触せず、そして、尿測定システムの内面に適用されない。その代わりに、高すぎる粘度を有するオイルは、堆積して凝集塊を形成する。
発明者はまた、上で開示した目的に応じて選択されるオイルが、カプセルによるものよりも他の方法を使用して、尿処理システムの表面に適用されうることを一般化した。このように、オイルの特定の使用は、本発明の対象であり、応用Yにおいて化合物Xの使用が開示され、ここで、化合物Xは、シリコーンオイル及び鉱物油からなる群、またはそれらの混合物から選択されるオイルの90から100%を含むオイル混合物であり、最大でも600cSt、好ましくは300から400cStの範囲内、より好ましくは300から400cStの範囲内、さらにより好ましくは345から355cStの範囲内、最も好ましくは350cStの粘度を有しており、応用Yは、尿処理システムまたは尿測定システムの内腔表面の処理である。「処理(treatment)」との用語はここでは、尿処理システムの内腔空間へのオイルの分布の方法に関係なく、オイルが問題となる表面に適用されるところでの活性(activity)を意味している。好ましい方法は、水様流体を用いて、オイルを内腔空間へ注入、噴霧、塗布、液浸(immersion)、浸漬(soaking)、解放及び分布を含む。水様流体は、尿であり得る。特に、好ましくは上で説明したようなカプセルからのオイル混合物の解法を含む分布であり、より好ましくは解放されるオイル混合物が尿と共に内腔空間に輸送されるようなカプセルからの分布である。内腔空間へのオイル混合物の分布の方法に関係なく、オイル混合物は上述したような自己プライミングにより、尿処理システムの内腔表面に適用され得る。
測定チャンバの材料は、好ましくは医療機器等級のポリマーである。より好ましくは、測定チャンバの材料は、ポリマーが親油性表面を示す医療機器等級のポリマーである。最も好ましくは、測定チャンバの材料はポリプロピレンである。試験では、オイルをはじく撥油性材料とは対照的に、親油性材料がチャンバ表面でオイルを保持することを示している。このように、撥油性材料を用いると、オイルはかなり早く尿によって洗い流される。
以下の表は、カプセル材料、オイル、及び測定チャンバの材料の組合せを例示している。

Claims (23)
- 尿処理システムの内腔においてオイル混合物を解放するための尿処理システム用カプセル(105)であって、前記カプセル(105)はオイル混合物で満たされる空間を画定しているカプセル壁を含み、前記オイル混合物はシリコーンオイル及び鉱物油からなる群、またはそれらの混合物から選択されるオイルの90から100%を含み、且つ最大でも600cStの粘度を有しており、前記カプセル壁は水溶性材料で作られている、カプセル。
- 前記水溶性材料は、ヒドロキシプロピルメチルセルロース及びポリビニルアルコール(PVOH)からなる群、またはそれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1に記載のカプセル(105)。
- 前記オイル混合物は、シリコーンオイルの群から選択される、請求項1または2に記載のカプセル(105)。
- 前記オイル混合物は、線形ポリジメチルシロキサンの群から選択される、請求項3に記載のカプセル。
- 前記オイルの前記粘度は、200〜600cStの範囲であり、例えば300〜400cStの範囲であり、例えば345〜355cStの範囲であり、例えば約350である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のカプセル。
- 尿測定チャンバ(101)を含む尿測定システム(101)であって、前記尿測定システムは、前記チャンバ(101)内部の尿レベルが増加するにつれて変化する容量値を測定するように、前記測定チャンバ(101)の外側に配置された電極を含む電子測定システムを含み、及び/または、前記尿測定チャンバ(101)は、サイフォン技術を用いてそれ自身を空にするように配置された自己排出サイフォン装置(130)を含み、オイル混合物が前記尿測定システムの内腔空間に配置され、前記オイル混合物は、シリコーンオイル及び鉱物油からなる群、またはそれらの混合物から選択されるオイルの90から100%を含み、最大でも600cStの粘度を有している、尿測定システム(101)。
- 前記オイルの前記粘度は、200〜600cStの範囲であり、例えば300〜400cStの範囲であり、例えば345〜355cStの範囲であり、例えば約350である、請求項6に記載の尿測定システム。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のカプセル(105)が前記測定システムの前記内腔空間に配置されている、請求項6または7に記載の尿測定システム。
- 前記カプセル(105)は、前記測定チャンバ(101)の上流、または前記測定チャンバ(101)の上流部分に配置されており、格子(110)により前記測定チャンバに入ることが防がれる、請求項8に記載の尿測定システム。
- 前記格子(110)は、金属またはポリマー材料で作られている、請求項9に記載の尿測定システム。
- 前記測定チャンバの材料は、ポリマー材料からなる群から選択される、請求項6から10のいずれか一項に記載の尿測定システム。
- 前記測定チャンバの材料は、ガラス材料からなる群から選択される、請求項6から10のいずれか一項に記載の尿測定システム。
- 前記測定チャンバの材料は、親油性を有する材料の群から選択される請求項6から12のいずれか一項に記載の尿測定システム。
- 尿と接触する内面を有する尿測定システムにおいて機能及び測定精度の障害を阻止する方法であって、
−オイル混合物を、尿を用いて自己プライミングにより前記尿測定システムの内面に適用するステップ、
を、含む方法。 - 前記方法は、前記オイル混合物を尿の上に散布するステップを含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記尿測定システム内の尿のレベルが増加するとき、前記オイル混合物が前記尿測定システムの前記内面に適用される、請求項14または15に記載の方法。
- 前記測定システムの充填の間に、前記尿測定システムの尿のレベルが増加するとき、尿はそれと共に前記オイル混合物を取り込み、その結果、前記オイル混合物は前記内面に接触し、且つ付着される、請求項14から16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記オイル混合物は、シリコーンオイル及び鉱物油からなる群、またはそれらの混合物から選択されるオイルの90から100%を含む、請求項14から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記オイルは、最大でも600cSt、例えば200から600cStの範囲であり、例えば300から400cStの範囲であり、例えば345から355cStの範囲であり、例えば約350の粘度を有している、請求項14から18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 患者の尿カテーテルを、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のカプセルを備えた請求項6から13のいずれか一項に記載の尿測定システムに接続することにより、前記オイル混合物が適用される、請求項14から19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 尿処理システムの内腔表面の処理におけるオイル混合物の使用であって、前記オイル混合物は、シリコーンオイル及び鉱物油からなる群、またはそれらの混合物から選択されるオイルの90から100%を含み、最大でも600cStの粘度を有している、使用。
- 前記粘度は、200から600cSt、例えば300から400cSt、例えば345から355cStの範囲であり、例えば約350である、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記オイル混合物は抗菌剤を含まない、請求項21または22に記載の方法。
