Abstract
Description
(a)エンドレスの平坦な粗紡糸に第1の熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融体を含侵させて繊維リボンを形成し;
(b)繊維リボン上に少なくとも1種類の接着剤を複数の領域で適用し、次に少なくとも1種類の接着剤を溶融し;
(c)繊維リボンを冷却及び硬化させ;
(d)射出金型を、接着剤の融点よりも20K低い温度以上の温度に加熱し;
(e)少なくとも1つの繊維リボンを射出金型中に導入し、接着剤で被覆された繊維リボンの領域の少なくとも1つの部分を、少なくとも1つの温度制御された射出金型の壁部と接触させ;
(f)第2の熱可塑性ポリマーを金型中に射出成形し;
(g)少なくとも1つの繊維リボンで強化された成形物品を射出金型から取り出す;
工程を有する、少なくとも1つの繊維リボンで強化された成形物品の製造方法が提供される。
繊維リボン:
用いる繊維リボンを製造するために、7μmのフィラメント直径及び1%のエポキシサイジングを有するToray社のエンドレス炭素繊維CF ROVING T700SC-12K-50Cを用いた。
・破断応力:750MPa;
・破断伸び:1.5%;
・繊維割合(質量):30%;
・繊維割合(体積):21%;
・密度:1.28g/cm3;
・融点:260℃。
接着剤Aは、37.6モル%のラクタム6、50.2モル%のラクタム12、12.2モル%のアジピン酸、12.2モル%のヘキサメチレンジアミンを含んでいた。その融点は125℃であった。
オーバーモールドのために用いる第2のポリマーとして、次のものを試験のために用いた。
ポリマーD:20重量%のテレフタル酸、8重量%のイソフタル酸、20重量%のヘキサメチレンジアミン、50重量%のガラス繊維、及び2重量%の更なる添加剤を含む;
試験片の製造/射出成形条件:
試験の試験片は、Arburg社の射出成形機Allrounder 370S上で射出成形した。スクリュー直径は20mmであり、スクリューノズルを有していた。型締め圧力は最大で700kNであった。標準的な3区画スクリューの可塑化を行った。
DIN−EN−ISO527にしたがう引張試験:
引張−伸び機(万能試験機Z100、製造者:Zwick/Roell)を用いて、DIN−EN−ISO527にしたがって試験片の引張り強さを測定した。射出成形試験片を用いたクランプの初期間隔は115mmであった。横方向の速度は5mm/分であった。引張伸びの測定は2つの把持部を用いて行った。用いた試験片はISO試験片標準試料のISO/CD−3167、タイプA1、170×20/10×4mmであった。その中に導入した繊維リボンの寸法は、160×10×0.35mm(L×W×H)であった。
DIN−53283にしたがって、温度制御された表面上で接着強度の増加に関係する引張剪断試験を行った。ここでは、接着表面([L×W]50×10/100×10mm)、接着剤のタイプ(接着剤A、接着剤B)、接着剤の量(15g/m2、30g/m2、40g/m2)、及び表面温度(120℃/140℃)を変化させた。引き出し速度は100mm/分であった。
Leica M420マクロスコープ及びIM 100画像処理ソフトウエアを用いて変位の測定を行った。ここでは、繊維リボンを金型の射出側上のキャビティ中に接着した。変位を測定するために、射出ピンをゼロラインに関する参照点として設定した。射出成形プロセスの後、引張試験片上の射出ピンの凹みに対する繊維リボンの変位を測定した。
Claims (17)
- (a)エンドレスの平坦な粗紡糸に熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融体を含侵させて繊維リボンを形成し;
(b)含侵繊維リボン上に少なくとも1種類の接着剤を複数の領域で適用し、次に少なくとも1種類の接着剤を溶融し;
(c)繊維リボンを冷却及び硬化させ;
(d)射出金型を、接着剤の融点よりも20K低い温度以上の温度に加熱し;
(e)少なくとも1つの繊維リボンを射出金型中に導入し、接着剤で被覆された繊維リボンの領域の少なくとも1つの部分を、少なくとも1つの温度制御された射出金型の壁部と接触させ;
(f)第2の熱可塑性ポリマーを金型中に射出成形し;
(g)射出金型から強化成形物品を取り出す;
工程を含む、少なくとも1つの繊維リボンで強化された成形物品の製造方法。 - 工程(a)における含侵中に用いる第1の熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリアミド、ポリオレフィン、ポリアクリレート、ポリカーボネート、ポリスルホン、ポリイミド、ポリエステル、ポリエーテル、ポリスチレン、又は列記した材料の1以上の混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(f)における第2の熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリアミド、ポリオレフィン、ポリアクリレート、ポリカーボネート、ポリスルホン、ポリイミド、ポリエステル、ポリエーテル、ポリスチレン、又は列記した材料の1以上の混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1又は2のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 含侵のために用いる第1の熱可塑性ポリマー及び/又はオーバーモールドのために用いる第2の熱可塑性ポリマーが、無機安定剤、有機安定剤、潤滑剤、消泡剤、連鎖延長添加剤、縮合触媒、光学増白剤、可塑剤、結合剤、ハロゲン含有難燃剤、ハロゲンフリー難燃剤、耐衝撃性改良剤、粒子状充填剤、染料、顔料、及び/又はこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される添加剤を含む、請求項2又は3に記載の方法。
- 工程(b)における少なくとも1種類の接着剤の適用を、粉末として散布するか、又は懸濁液を適用するか、或いは箔状又は糸状にロール塗布することによって行う、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 接着剤が、接着剤の融点よりも20K低い温度以上の温度に加熱した場合にのみ接着効果を発現する、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種類の接着剤によって、繊維リボンの表面を、部分的又は完全に、不連続の点で、又は縞状、長方形状、ダイヤモンド状、円状、楕円状のような幾何的パターンで、或いは統計的分布の領域で被覆する、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種類の接着剤がコポリアミド又はコポリエステルの群から選択される、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- コポリアミドが、ISO−11357にしたがって70℃〜160℃、好ましくは90℃〜140℃の範囲の融点、及び/又はISO−1133にしたがって50〜3,000Pa・秒、好ましくは200〜2,000Pa・秒の160℃及び2.16kgの荷重における溶融粘度を有し;及び/又は、コポリエステルが、ISO−11357にしたがって80℃〜180℃、好ましくは100℃〜160℃の範囲の融点、及び/又はISO−1133にしたがって50〜1,500Pa・秒、好ましくは100〜1,000Pa・秒の160℃及び2.16kgの荷重における溶融粘度を有する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種類の接着剤の被覆、層厚さ、形態、及び接着能力を、好ましくは10〜50g/m2、特に好ましくは15〜30g/m2の接着剤の適用量によって調節する、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(b)の前又は後に繊維リボンの再成形を行う、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(e)において、射出金型を、接着剤の融点よりも20K低い温度以上の温度、特に50〜200℃、好ましくは70〜180℃、特に好ましくは90〜160℃に加熱する、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程(e)において、5〜30N/cm2、好ましくは10〜20N/cm2の圧力を加えることによって、少なくとも1つの繊維リボンを少なくとも1つの温度制御された射出金型の壁部と接触させる、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 粗紡糸が、エンドレス繊維、特に炭素、天然、ガラス、無機、又はアラミド繊維、好ましくは個々のフィラメントが平坦又は丸い断面を有する炭素繊維又はガラス繊維、特に好ましくは炭素繊維から構成される、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 含侵工程(a)と工程(b)における接着剤の適用との間において、更なる装置内において少なくとも2つの繊維リボンを結合させて積層体を形成し、工程(b)において、積層体の少なくとも1つの側面上に接着剤を適用する、請求項1〜14のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれかにしたがって製造される強化成形物品。
- 自動車部品、特にシャーシ部品、構造部品、アームレスト、シートシェル、接続支柱、エンジンマウンティング、ファン、薄板材、内装部品、外装部品、変速装置部品、及び車輪リム;並びに工業用品及び消費財、特にレバー、加圧容器、工具部品、家庭用器具、衛生製品用部品、家具類、庭用器具、スポーツ器具、特に靴、弓、アイスピック、ラケット、自転車フレーム、ペダル、ヘルメット、及びプロテクターを製造するための、請求項16に記載の成形物品の使用。
