Abstract

Printed plastic, paper, or fabric foils &c. are bonded to a plastic article e.g. a picture frame or box by temporarily holding the foil in an injection mould by means of adhesive or suction and then injecting material into, round or on to it. A heat-resistant printed foil having a roughed back is located in the mould of a horizontally operating injection moulding machine by adhesive and material which may be transparent or coloured is injected into the mould and bonds to the back of the foil. Alternatively transparent washable plastic material may be injected on the front of the foil. The machine may inject the material downwardly.
