869,416. Moulding decorative articles. BRITISH XYLONITE CO. Ltd. Feb. 27, 1958 [Nov. 30, 1956], No. 36748/58. Class 87(2). A method of moulding decorative articles, e.g. hairbrushes, comprises placing a foil 15 in a mould 12, 13, retaining the foil in a predetermined position in the mould and injecting a main body 17 of thermoplastic material into the mould so that it presses the foil into and maintains it in close contact with a moulding surface to form a decorative surface layer on the moulded article. The moulding surface may be " patterned " and two foils may be utilized to form a " sandwiched " article.
