Claims (13)
- 複数のゲート線、複数のデータ線、前記ゲート線の少なくとも一つ、および前記データ線の少なくとも一つに接続されている少なくとも一つのスイッチング素子を含む複数の画素、データ駆動部、ゲート駆動部、前記データ駆動部および前記ゲート駆動部を制御する信号制御部を含む表示装置において、
前記信号制御部が第1フレームの入力映像データの垂直解像度を1/k(kは自然数)に圧縮する、あるいは垂直解像度が1/kに圧縮された入力映像データを受信し処理して出力映像データを生成し、
前記データ駆動部が前記出力映像データに基づいてデータ電圧を生成して前記データ線に印加し、
前記ゲート駆動部が前記出力映像データの各映像データに対応してk個の隣接のゲート線にゲートオン電圧パルスを印加する段階と
を含み、
前記第1フレームにおいて、前記k個の隣接のゲート線のうちの少なくとも二つのゲート線に前記ゲートオン電圧パルスが印加され始める時点は互いに異なることを特徴とする表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記出力映像データは、連続して出力される第1出力映像データおよび第2出力映像データを含み、
前記第1出力映像データに対応して前記ゲートオン電圧パルスを伝達する前記k個の隣接のゲート線は、第1ゲート線および第2ゲート線を含み、
前記第2出力映像データに対応して前記ゲートオン電圧パルスを伝達する前記k個の隣接のゲート線は、第3ゲート線および第4ゲート線を含み、
前記第2ゲート線に前記ゲートオン電圧パルスが印加され始める時点は、前記第1ゲート線に前記ゲートオン電圧パルスが印加され始める時点と、前記第3ゲート線に前記ゲートオン電圧パルスが印加され始める時点との間に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1ゲート線は、前記第1出力映像データの出力時期に同期して前記ゲートオン電圧パルスを伝達し、
前記第3ゲート線は、前記第2出力映像データの出力時期に同期して前記ゲートオン電圧パルスを伝達することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記出力映像データは、奇数行圧縮データまたは奇数行補間圧縮データを含み、
前記奇数行圧縮データは、前記入力映像データの奇数行を抽出して生成され、
前記奇数行補間圧縮データは、前記奇数行直前の偶数行の前記入力映像データと前記奇数行直後の偶数行の前記入力映像データを補間して生成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1フレームと交互になっている第2フレームにおいて、前記複数のゲート線のうちの一番目ゲート線に前記ゲートオン電圧パルスが印加される期間は、前記第1フレームと前記第2フレームの間の垂直ブランク期間と重畳することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記第1フレームにおいて、前記出力映像データは、奇数行圧縮データまたは奇数行補間圧縮データを含み、
前記第2フレームにおいて、前記出力映像データは、偶数行圧縮データまたは偶数行補間圧縮データを含み、
前記奇数行圧縮データは、前記入力映像データの奇数行データを抽出して生成され、
前記奇数行補間圧縮データは、前記奇数行直前の偶数行の前記入力映像データと前記奇数行直後の偶数行の前記入力映像データを補間して生成され、
前記偶数行圧縮データは、前記入力映像データの偶数行データを抽出して生成され、
前記偶数行補間圧縮データは、前記偶数行直前の奇数行の前記入力映像データと前記偶数行直後の奇数行の前記入力映像データを補間して生成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第2ゲート線に印加される前記ゲートオン電圧パルスと前記第1ゲート線に印加される前記ゲートオン電圧パルスの重畳期間の長さは、隣接のフレームで互いに異なることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記出力映像データは、奇数行圧縮データまたは奇数行補間圧縮データを含み、
前記奇数行圧縮データは、前記入力映像データの奇数行を抽出して生成され、
前記奇数行補間圧縮データは、前記奇数行直前の偶数行の前記入力映像データと前記奇数行直後の偶数行の前記入力映像データを補間して生成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1フレームでの前記入力映像データは、第1視点点に対する映像データを含み、
前記第1フレームの次の第2フレームでの前記入力映像データは、前記第1視点と異なる第2視点に対する映像データを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1フレームでの前記入力映像データおよび前記第1フレームの次の第2フレームでの前記入力映像データは全て同一の視点に対する映像データを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
- 複数のゲート線および複数のデータ線と、
前記ゲート線の少なくとも一つ、および前記データ線の少なくとも一つに接続されている少なくとも一つのスイッチング素子を含む複数の画素と、
第1フレームの入力映像データの垂直解像度を1/k(kは自然数)に圧縮する、あるいは垂直解像度が1/kに圧縮された入力映像データを受信し処理して出力映像データを生成する信号制御部と、
前記出力映像データに基づいてデータ電圧を生成して前記データ線に印加するデータ駆動部と、
前記出力映像データの各映像データに対応してk個の隣接のゲート線にゲートオン電圧パルスを印加するゲート駆動部と
を含み、
前記第1フレームにおいて、前記k個の隣接のゲート線のうちの少なくとも二つのゲート線に前記ゲートオン電圧パルスが印加され始める時点は互いに異なることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 複数のゲート線および複数のデータ線と、
前記ゲート線の少なくとも一つ、および前記データ線の少なくとも一つに接続されている少なくとも一つのスイッチング素子を含む複数の画素と、

前記ゲート線の少なくとも一つ、および前記データ線の少なくとも一つに接続されている少なくとも一つのスイッチング素子を含む複数の画素と、
第1フレームの入力映像データの垂直解像度を1/k(kは自然数)に圧縮する、あるいは垂直解像度が1/kに圧縮された入力映像データを受信し処理して出力映像データを生成する信号制御部と、
前記出力映像データに基づいてデータ電圧を生成して前記データ線に印加するデータ駆動部と、
