Abstract
Description
図1は強化繊維の束を開繊し、開繊済み強化繊維を製作している状況を説明した模式図であり、図2(a)、図2(b)はその順に、開繊済み強化繊維を使用する本発明の繊維強化樹脂成形体の製造方法の実施の形態1を説明した模式図である。
図示する混練機10は、本体11の内部にスクリュー12が内蔵され、最上流側に樹脂投入口13(ホッパー)が備えてあり、最下流側に押出口14が備えてある。
樹脂投入口13には、熱可塑性樹脂の樹脂ペレットJが投入される(X1方向)。
図3(a)、図3(b)はその順に、切断済み強化繊維を使用する本発明の繊維強化樹脂成形体の製造方法の実施の形態2を説明した模式図である。
本発明者等は、従来の製造方法(比較例)と本発明の製造方法(実施例)にてそれぞれ繊維強化樹脂成形体を製作し、それぞれの製造方法で製作された繊維強化樹脂成形体から強化繊維を取り出し、繊維長ごとの質量%を測定して双方の繊維長分布の相違を検証した。さらに、実施例と比較例によって製造された繊維強化樹脂成形体から複数の試験片を切り出し、曲げ試験を実施して各試験片の曲げ強度と曲げ弾性率を測定するとともに、標準偏差を求め、強度ばらつきの相違を検証した。
Claims (4)
- 溶融した熱可塑性樹脂と、強化繊維の束が開繊されてなる開繊済み強化繊維と、を混練機で混練して混練物を製造し、該混練物を成形型内に載置もしくは充填して繊維強化樹脂成形体を製造する繊維強化樹脂成形体の製造方法。
- 開繊済み強化繊維をさらに切断して切断済み強化繊維を製作し、該切断済み強化繊維を混練機に投入して混練物を製造する請求項1に記載の繊維強化樹脂成形体の製造方法。
- 混練機には上流側に位置して熱可塑性樹脂を投入する樹脂投入口と、該樹脂投入口の下流側に位置して強化繊維を投入する繊維投入口と、混練物が押し出される押出口と、が備えてあり、
少なくとも樹脂投入口と繊維投入口の間に溶融した熱可塑性樹脂から生じる揮発ガスを脱気する脱気口が設けられている請求項2に記載の繊維強化樹脂成形体の製造方法。 - 繊維投入口への切断済み強化繊維の投入を支援する投入支援機構として、混練機に吸引部が設けられている、もしくは、繊維投入口の近傍において繊維投入口側への気流を生成する気流生成部が設けられている請求項2または3に記載の繊維強化樹脂成形体の製造方法。
