Abstract
Description
しかしながら、金属と樹脂とでは物性が大きく異なるので、従来のヘム部加工体及び加工方法では強固に保持されたヘム部を得られない可能性がある。よって、ヘム部に関して新規の加工体及び加工方法等が求められていた。
本発明に係るヘム部加工体は、例えば車両におけるドアの縁部に適用することができる。本発明に係るヘム部加工体の一実施形態を適用可能な部位の一例として、図1に車両のドアの一部を概略図として示した。
よって、本実施形態に係るヘム部加工体は、例えば車両用ドア101の縁部に形成されるヘム部において適用することができる。
ここで、本発明に係るヘム部加工体の一実施形態を図2に示す。
図2は、ヘム部加工体1を示す概略図である。図2(A)は第2部材が折れ部を有するヘム部加工体を示す概略図であり、図2(B)は第2部材が折れ部を有していないヘム部加工体を示す概略図である。
なお、本実施形態を図1に示す車両用ドア101に適用する場合、第1部材2はインナパネルとして用いることができる。
該脆弱部23は、ヘム部加工体1を製造する際に形成される部位である。脆弱部23の形成過程等については、後述のヘム部加工体1の製造方法の説明において詳述する。
なお、本実施形態を図1に示す車両用ドア101に適用する場合、第2部材3はアウタパネルとして用いることができる。
図2(A)に示す内側折曲部22、外側折曲部31、折れ部33、及び折曲部34は、ヘム部を形成する最終段階において強固にプレス成形されることによって相互に密着しているのが好ましい。これにより、例えば車両用ドアとして適用される場合に、車両の走行、ドアの開閉等で生じる振動及び衝撃等によっても容易には折曲状態が解除されないようになっている。
脆弱部23及び折れ部33の具体的な形成方法については、図3及び図4を参照しつつ後述する。
なお、例えばヘム部を形成するアウタパネル及びインナパネルの一方に熱可塑性樹脂を用い、他方に金属材料を用いる場合、熱可塑性樹脂と金属材料との物性が大きく異なるので、両部材の固定方法として従来の溶着、接着及び機械的接合等をそのまま適用することは困難である。
図2(B)に示すヘム部加工体11と、上記ヘム部加工体1との相違点は、第2部材の長さ、及び、折れ部の有無である。
なお、第1部材2については同一部材を用いているので、第1部材2の詳細な説明を省略する。
ヘム部加工体1における第1部材2の材料としては、熱可塑性樹脂を用いることができ、例えばメチルメタクリレート、ポリアセタール、ポリカーボネート、変性ポリフェニレンエーテル、ポリイミド、及びポリエーテルエーテルケトン等を挙げることができる。また、好ましくは繊維強化プラスチック等の繊維状物を含有して強化された樹脂、更に好ましくは炭素繊維強化プラスチックを用いるのが良い。
続いて、図2(A)に示したヘム部加工体1を製造するヘム部加工方法について、図3及び図4を参照しつつ説明する。
本発明に係るヘム部加工方法は、設置工程と、第1折曲工程と、加圧加熱工程と、第2折曲工程とを備える。各工程について、各図を参照しつつ説明する。
なお、図3は、本発明に係るヘム部加工方法の一実施形態を示す概略図である。図3(A)は設置工程の一例を示す概略図であり、図3(B)は第1折曲工程の一例を示す概略図である。また、図4は、本発明に係るヘム部加工方法の一実施形態を示す概略図である。図4(A)は加圧加熱工程の一例を示す概略図であり、図4(B)及び図4(C)は、第2折曲工程の一例を示す概略図である。
折曲部34の位置としては、折曲部34の内面に第1部材2の端部21が接触する位置で第2部材3が折曲されても良く、非接触となる位置で折曲されても良い。
なお、第2折曲工程では、ローラ加工装置等の適宜の曲げ加工用の装置を用いて行うことができる。また、第1折曲工程において用いた曲げ加工用の装置を、第2折曲工程でも用いることができる。
このとき、第2部材3の折れ部33が第1部材2の脆弱部23の内側に巻き込まれつつ挟まれ始める。
図2(B)に示したヘム部加工体11を形成するには、上記折れ部33を形成しないようにする必要がある。図5に、折れ部33を形成しない第2折曲工程の一部を示す。
図5は、本発明に係るヘム部加工方法の他の実施形態を示す概略図である。
また、折れ部33を形成すると、内側折曲部22の内側において2枚分の第2部材3が挟まれることになる。例えばヘム部が形成される部位として厚みを持たせたくない場合は、折れ部33を形成しない形態を採用するのが好ましい。
Claims (5)
- 熱可塑性樹脂を含有する板状部材における端部が折曲された部位に形成される内側折曲部を有する第1部材と、
金属材料を含有する板状部材における端部が折曲された部位に形成される外側折曲部を有し、該外側折曲部は内側折曲部を包むように配置され、端部は内側折曲部の内側に配置され、
内側折曲部の内面には脆弱部が形成されている、
ヘム部加工体。 - 内側折曲部の内側の脆弱部近傍において、第2部材は折り返されて成る折れ部を有する、
請求項1に記載のヘム部加工体。 - 脆弱部は、加熱痕及び加圧痕を有する凹部である、
請求項1又は2に記載のヘム部加工体。 - 熱可塑性樹脂は、繊維強化プラスチックである、
請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のヘム部加工体。 - ヘム部加工体を製造するヘム部加工方法であって、
熱可塑性樹脂を含有する板状の第1部材と、金属材料を含有する板状の第2部材とを、
それぞれの端部をずらして重ね合わせる設置工程と、
第1部材の端部を包み込むように第2部材の端部を折曲する第1折曲工程と、
第2部材の端部近傍を加圧及び加熱することによって第1部材に脆弱部を形成する加圧加熱工程と、
脆弱部を折曲部位として第1部材及び第2部材を、第1部材が内側となるように折曲する第2折曲工程と、を備える、
ヘム部加工方法。
