Abstract
【解決手段】Xが、ニッケル、コバルト、クロム、銅、チタニウム又はマンガンであり、及び、Yが、タンタル、又はニオブであり、その合金が、66at%Pt20at%Cr14at%Ta、又は、50at%Pt25at%Co25at%Taではない条件で、その合金において、白金の原子百分率は、46−75at%であり、Xについては、1−49at%、及び、Yについては、1−35at%である白金合金触媒PtXY。

Description
その転送基材は、当業者にとって周知のいかなる適切な転送基材であってもよいが、望ましくは、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)又はポリプロピレン(特に二軸延伸ポリプロピレン、BOPP)等の高分子材料、又は、ポリウレタンコート紙等のポリマーコート紙である。転送基材はまた、シリコン剥離紙、又はアルミホイル等の金属ホイルである。次に本発明の触媒は、当業者に周知の技術により、ガス拡散基材に、又はPEMFCに対する適用の場合、プロトン導電性膜に輸送され、触媒塗布膜(CCM)を形成してもよい。従って、本発明のさらなる態様が、本発明の触媒を含む触媒塗布膜を提供する。
全ての触媒は、20gスケールで製造され、カーボン担体上に15重量%Pt充填を目標とした。
サンプルの均一性及び合金化の程度は、X−線回折(XRD)を使用して、決定した。表1で示される触媒は、上記の一般的な製造法により行った。
最新のPtCoCr触媒が、Co、Cr及びPtの塩化物塩の加水分解により、US5、068、161の実施例6で示されるように製造し、15重量%Pt充填した。最終分析(重量%):15.8%Pt/2.01%Co/1.03%Cr(原子%58:24:18)
本発明の触媒の電気化学的表面積(ECA)及び質量活性が、US5、068、161に示されるように測定した。つまり、サイクリックボルタンメトリー測定が、3電極セル及び十分に湿った電極を使用し、室温で、希塩酸中で実施され、且つ、水素吸収に関連した電荷量が、cm2Pt当り210μCの補正率を使用して決定し、及び、m2/gPtに変換した。活性は、180℃の99%リン酸電解質中、反応物質として酸素を使用するガス供給の半電池を使用して測定し、又、活性が、当技術分野で一般的に行われるように、900mVでPtの重量当りの電流(A/mgPt)として表した。電極は、PTFEとその触媒を混合し、防水カーボン紙に適用、且つ、焼結することにより製造した。
Claims (15)
- 白金合金触媒PtXYであって、
Xが、ニッケル、コバルト、クロム、銅、チタニウム、又は、マンガンであり、及び、 Yが、タンタル又はニオブであり、
前記合金において、
白金の原子百分率が46〜75at%であり、Xの原子百分率が1〜49at%、及びYの原子百分率が1〜35at%であり、
但し、前記合金が、66at%Pt20at%Cr14at%Ta、又は50at%Pt25at%Co25at%Taではないことを特徴する、白金合金触媒PtXY。 - Xが、ニッケル、コバルト、クロム又は銅である、請求項1に記載された白金合金触媒。
- Yが、ニッケル又はコバルトである、請求項2に記載された白金合金触媒。
- Yが、タンタルである、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載された白金合金触媒。
- Yが、ニオブである、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載された白金合金触媒。
- 前記触媒が、分散された担体材に、非担持又は担持されてなる、請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載された白金合金触媒。
- 前記触媒が、分散された担体材に、担持されてなる、請求項6に記載された白金合金触媒。
- 前記担体材が、耐腐食カーボンである、請求項7に記載された白金合金触媒。
- 請求項1〜8の何れか一項に記載された触媒を備えてなる、電極。
- 前記電極が、カソードである、請求項9に記載された電極。
- 請求項1〜8の何れか一項に記載された触媒を含んでなる、触媒塗付膜。
- 請求項9〜10の何れか一項に記載された電極を備えてなる、燃料電池。
- 前記燃料電池が、リン酸燃料電池である、請求項12に記載された燃料電池。
- 請求項11に記載された触媒塗付膜を備えてなる、燃料電池。
- 前記燃料電池が、プロトン交換膜燃料電池である、請求項14に記載された燃料電池。
