を含む。第1のバッファプレート及び第2のバッファプレートは、約4mmから約6mmの厚さを有するソーダ石灰ガラス板で形成することができる。
純強化全Gorillaガラス積層板を、バッファプレートを用いずに、真空バッグ内で処理した。図5は薄ガラス積層板に形成されたプロセス起因歪を示す。プロセス起因光学歪は積層板の周縁に沿って特に明白であるが、内側のより激しい異常のいくらかは積層形成前の問題によるものであろう。同じ薄ガラス積層構造を、温度及び圧力を上述より高くしたことを除いて、上述したようにバッファプレートを用いて処理した。図6は得られた積層板の、特に左辺及び右上隅における、強い歪を示す。同じ積層構造を本開示に説明される最適条件においてバッファプレートを用いて処理した。図7は、得られた積層板の上辺及び底辺に沿ういくらかの明白な歪はあるが、中央領域には歪が無いように見えることを示す。図6及び7における歪の画像は、図5に示されるようなバックライトで照射した「ゼブラボード」を前方から写真を撮り、次いで、歪みによって線のシフトが生じた領域を強調するため、縞の背景像を引き去ることで作製した。
PVB中間層と、2枚の0.7mm厚化学的強化Gorillaガラス及び1枚の0.7mm厚化学的強化Gorillaガラスと1枚の1.6mm厚ソーダ石灰ガラスからなる、積層前スタックまたは積上げ品を集成した。いずれも厚いGorillaガラスまたはソーダ石灰ガラスからなる、正しい形状の比較的硬質のバッファプレートを集成積上げ品の一方または両方の面上においた。この全体アセンブリ(積上げ品+バッファ)の周縁を巡って可撓性真空リングを取り付けた。ガラスとPVBの間の空気を除去するため及び積層アセンブリに硬質バッファプレートの形状をとらせるため、真空リング内の空間を約−0.9バール(−9×104Pa)の圧力まで排気した。真空を室温で15分間。次いで100℃で25分間、維持した。この全体スタック(積層前スタック+バッファ)を130℃で40分間オートクレーブ処理した。得られた積層板の光学歪は極めて僅かであった。真空リングの代わりに真空バッグを用い、十分な真空圧を用いて、同様の結果を達成した。
2枚の2mm厚ガラスとPVB中間層からなる純強化全Gorillaガラス積層板を、この集成スタックに周縁に装着された真空リングを用いて処理した。ガラスとPVBを貼り合わせるため、−0.9バール(−9×104Pa)の真空を用い、20℃で20分間、次いで100℃でさらに30分間、維持して、集成スタックの脱気及び張合わせを行った。得られた前段積層板は縁端周辺に光学歪を有していた。この前段積層板を、真空リングの取り外し後、80psi(0.55MPa)及び130℃で36分間オートクレーブ処理した。このオートクレーブ処理後に得られた積層板に光学歪は基本的になかった。オートクレーブ工程は、−0.9バール(−9×104Pa)で行われた脱気/張合わせ工程後に見られた光学歪を除去するように作用する。

- ガラス積層板を成形するプロセスにおいて、
前記ガラス積層板の所望の形状に名目上一致する第1の成形面を有する第1のバッファプレートを提供する工程、
前記ガラス積層板の所望の形状に名目上一致する第2の成形面を有する第2のバッファプレートを提供する工程、
第1のガラス板、第2のガラス板及び高分子材中間層を提供する工程であって、前記第1のガラス板及び前記第2のガラス板の少なくとも一方は1mmをこえない厚さを有するものである工程、
前記第1のバッファプレートの前記第1の成形面の上に前記第1のガラス板を積み重ねる工程、

前記集成スタックの周縁に真空を印加する工程、
前記集成スタックを、前記中間層の軟化温度にあるかまたは前記軟化温度より高いソーク温度に加熱する工程、
前記真空及び前記ソーク温度を、前記中間層を脱気し、前記中間層を前記第1のガラス板及び前記第2のガラス板に張り付け、前記ガラス板及び前記中間層を前記第1の成形面及び前記第2の成形面の形状に成形するに十分な時間(ソーク時間)、維持する工程、
前記集成スタックをオーブンから取り出す工程、及び
前記ガラス積層板から前記バッファプレートを取り外す工程、
を含むことを特徴とするプロセス。 - 前記第1のガラス板及び前記第2のガラス板のいずれもが、
(a)1mmをこえない厚さを有する、または
(b)化学的に強化されたガラス板である、
の少なくとも一方であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプロセス。 - 前記集成スタックをオートクレーブに入れて、前記ソーク時間中、180psi(1.24MPa)をこえない圧力においてオートクレーブ処理する工程をさらに含み、前記ソーク温度が約150℃または125℃をこえず、前記集成スタックの前記周縁に印加される前記真空が約−0.7バール(−7×104Pa)または約−0.6バール(−6×104Pa)をこえないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 請求項1に記載のプロセスにおいて、
真空を印加する前記工程が前記集成スタックを真空バッグ及び真空リングの一方に入れる工程並びに真空バッグ及び真空リングの前記一方に真空を印加する工程を含む、及び
加熱する前記工程が前記集成スタックを、150℃をこえない、ソーク温度に加熱する工程を含む、
ことを特徴とするプロセス。 - 請求項4に記載のプロセスにおいて、
前記集成スタックをオートクレーブに入れてオートクレーブ処理する工程、及び
前記ソーク時間中、前記オートクレーブ内の圧力を約70psi(0.48MPa)から約180psi(1.24MPa)の範囲内に維持する工程、
をさらに含むことを特徴とするプロセス。 - 前記第1のバッファプレート及び前記第2のバッファプレートの少なくとも一方が約4mm以上の厚さを有するソーダ石灰ガラスの板で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 第1のバッファプレートを提供する前記工程及び第2のバッファプレートを提供する前記工程の少なくとも一方が、
ガラス板を提供する工程、及び
前記ガラス積層板の所望の形状に名目上一致する形状を有する前記成形面を前記ガラス板が有するように前記ガラス板を曲げる工程、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプロセス。 - 前記第1のバッファプレート及び前記第2のバッファプレートの少なくとも一方がソーダ石灰ガラス板で形成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のプロセス。
