Abstract
Description
(式中、Mはn価のカチオンを表し、xはアルミニウム系四面体の、単位格子中のカチオンのバランスをとる電荷の数であり、yは単位格子中のケイ素系四面体の数であり、wはゼオライト細孔中の水分子の数である)によって表すことができる。式[(AlO2)x(SiO2)y]の括弧付き部分はアニオン性フレームワーク組成を表す。合計(x+y)は単位セル中の四面体の総数である。y/x比はゼオライトの種類に応じて変化し得、典型的には構造に応じて約1〜約6の値を有する。AlO2−アニオンの吸蔵(occlusion)の結果、1未満の比となり得る。
実施例および比較例で使用される材料を表1に示す。機能性ポリオレフィン材料は、表2で示される特性を有するように選択され、指定される。ゼオライトは、表3で示される特性を有するように選択され、指定される。
評価のために使用する方法を表4に示す。
二軸押出配合
成分の混合を、26mmスクリュー直径および60L/D比を有する2軸押出機(TSE)Coperion ZSK−26で実施する。ゼオライトをサイドアームから供給する。表5に示すバレル温度プロフィールを配合プロセスの間使用する。押出機を200回転/分(rpm)で動作させる。使用される全スループットは30ポンド/時(lb/hr)である。ストランドを水浴で冷却し、ストランドカッターでペレット化する。
押出テープフィルムおよびキャストフィルムをCallanan無線周波数(RF)溶接機で溶接する。Callanan RF溶接機の出力は2KWであり、操作/発電機周波数は27.12メガヘルツ(MHz)である。シールバー寸法は1/2インチであり、ダイ寸法は8インチである。テープフィルムを縦方向で密封する。
一連の実施例および比較例の試料を調製し、この場合、ポリマーを、表7および表8によるゼオライトと手順に記載された配合およびフィルム形成法を使用して組み合わせ、所与のクレイトン設定、示された出力および時間にしたがってHF溶接し、結果として溶接強度および不合格の種類(表7および表8)が得られ、同様に溶接されていないフィルムについての最終特性を表8に示す。
一連の実施例8〜10の化合物および比較例Pの化合物を調製し、この場合、ポリマーを表9によるゼオライトと本明細書中前述の手順にしたがって組み合わせ、指定された厚さの押出フィルムに成形し、所与のクレイトン設定、示された出力および時間にしたがってHF溶接し、試験すると表9で示される溶接強度および不合格の種類を示す。
一連の例示および比較化合物を調製し、この場合、ポリマーを表10によるゼオライトと組み合わせ、指定の厚さの押出フィルムに形成し、このフィルムは結果として応力白化特性を有する。
Claims (8)
- (a)ポリオレフィン配合物中に、高周波電磁場によって励起させることができるフィラーを組み入れ;(b)前記ポリオレフィン配合物から、少なくとも1つの表面を有する基体を形成し;そして(c)前記基体が前記ポリオレフィン基体の第2表面に、または第2ポリオレフィン基体の表面に溶接される条件下で、前記ポリオレフィン基体の前記表面を前記高周波電磁場に供して、ポリオレフィン系物品を形成することを含む、ポリオレフィン系物品を形成する方法における改善であって;前記改善が
(1)前記ポリオレフィン配合物中に、ナトリウム、カルシウム、またはカリウムでイオン交換されるゼオライトを、前記ポリオレフィン配合物の重量基準で少なくとも5重量パーセントの量で含め;そして
(2)ポリオレフィン配合物中の基本ポリマーとして、(a)0.865〜0.905グラム/立方センチメートルの密度および0.5〜30グラム/10分のメルトインデックス(190℃、2.13キログラムで測定)を有する均一に分岐した直鎖状または実質的に直鎖状のエチレン/α−オレフィンコポリマー;(b)0.863〜0.885グラム/立方センチメートルの密度および2〜30グラム/10分のメルトフローレート(230℃、2.13キログラムで測定)を有する均一に分岐したプロピレン/α−オレフィンコポリマー;(c)それらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されるポリオレフィンを使用して、ポリオレフィン系物品を形成することを含み;
ただし、前記基本ポリマーが100℃未満の融解温度を有するものとし;そして
さらに、前記ポリオレフィン基体が特性として、6秒以下の溶接時間で、10mil(0.254ミリメートル)の厚さについて7ポンド/インチ(1.23ニュートン/ミリメートル)より大きな粘着性溶接破損および溶接強度を示すものとする、改善。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記ポリオレフィンフィルムまたはシートが、目視検査で見られるような気泡がないこと;180度で折り畳んだ後に応力白化が無いこと;またはそれらの組み合わせから選択される少なくとも1つの特性をさらに示す、方法。
- 請求項1または2記載の方法であって、前記ポリオレフィン配合物が、前記ポリオレフィン配合物全体基準で、5〜30重量パーセントの、エチレン酢酸ビニル(EVA);塩素化ポリエチレン;エチレン酢酸ビニルコポリマー;無水マレイン酸グラフト化ポリオレフィン;エチレン−アクリル酸コポリマー;エチルアクリレートグラフト化ポリオレフィン;酸化ポリオレフィン;またはそれらの組み合わせから選択される極性ポリマーを含む、方法。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法であって、前記ポリオレフィン配合物が、ポリオレフィン配合物全体を基準として、0.06〜1.00重量パーセントの無水マレイン酸部分を含む、方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法であって、前記水が、前記ゼオライトの重量(強熱減量(LOI)として測定、575℃で1時間の重量損失))に基づいて3重量パーセント〜17重量パーセントの量で存在する、方法。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法であって、前記ゼオライトが、タイプX、3A、4Aまたは5Aのファミリー内の合成ゼオライトである、方法。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法であって、前記合成ゼオライトがタイプ4Aまたは5Aのファミリー内に含まれる、方法。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のポリオレフィン物品であって、圧力測定用カフおよび安定化装置から選択される医療機器;玩具、船、緩衝材および家具から選択されるインフレータブル;天幕、バナー、看板、テント、防水シート、およびプール、池または埋め立て用のライナーから選択されるシート;装丁;ならびにスポーツ用バッグおよびバックパックからなる群から選択される運搬具から選択される、物品。
