Description
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光装置に含まれる発光素子について説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1で説明した発光素子に着色層(カラーフィルタ等)を組み合わせる場合の発光装置の一態様について説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、発光装置の画素部の構成について図2、図7を用いて説明する。

- 第1の発光素子と、第2の発光素子と、第3の発光素子と、第4の発光素子とを有し、
前記第1の発光素子は、第1の反射電極と、EL層と、半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第2の発光素子は、第2の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第3の発光素子は、第3の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第4の発光素子は、第4の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第1の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第1の反射電極と接して第1の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第2の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第2の反射電極と接して第2の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第3の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第3の反射電極と接して第3の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第4の反射電極と接して第4の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第1の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第1のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第2の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第2のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第3の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第3のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記EL層は、青色発光を呈する第1の発光物質と、青色の補色に相当する発光を呈する第2の発光物質を有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離が青色の補色に相当する発光を相対的に強めるべく形成され、
前記半透過・半反射電極は、前記EL層の端部を覆って形成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 第1の発光素子と、第2の発光素子と、第3の発光素子と、第4の発光素子とを有し、
前記第1の発光素子は、第1の反射電極と、EL層と、半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第2の発光素子は、第2の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第3の発光素子は、第3の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第4の発光素子は、第4の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第1の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第1の反射電極と接して第1の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第2の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第2の反射電極と接して第2の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第3の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第3の反射電極と接して第3の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第4の反射電極と接して第4の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第1の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第1のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第2の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第2のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第3の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第3のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記EL層は、青色発光を呈する第1の発光物質と、540nm以上580nm以下の範囲にスペクトルピークを有する発光を呈する第2の発光物質を有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離が540nm以上580nm以下の範囲にスペクトルピークを有する発光を相対的に強めるべく形成され、
前記半透過・半反射電極は、前記EL層の端部を覆って形成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 第1の発光素子と、第2の発光素子と、第3の発光素子と、第4の発光素子とを有し、
前記第1の発光素子は、第1の反射電極と、EL層と、半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第2の発光素子は、第2の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第3の発光素子は、第3の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第4の発光素子は、第4の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第1の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第1の反射電極と接して第1の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第2の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第2の反射電極と接して第2の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第3の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第3の反射電極と接して第3の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第4の反射電極と接して第4の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第1の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第1のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第2の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第2のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第3の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第3のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記EL層は、青色発光を呈する第1の発光物質と、黄色発光を呈する第2の発光物質とを有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離が黄色発光を相対的に強めるべく形成され、
前記半透過・半反射電極は、前記EL層の端部を覆って形成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 第1の発光素子と、第2の発光素子と、第3の発光素子と、第4の発光素子とを有し、
前記第1の発光素子は、第1の反射電極と、EL層と、半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第2の発光素子は、第2の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第3の発光素子は、第3の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第4の発光素子は、第4の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第1の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第1の反射電極と接して第1の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第2の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第2の反射電極と接して第2の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第3の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第3の反射電極と接して第3の透明導電膜を有し、

前記半透過・半反射電極は、前記EL層の端部を覆って形成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 第1の発光素子と、第2の発光素子と、第3の発光素子と、第4の発光素子とを有し、
前記第1の発光素子は、第1の反射電極と、EL層と、半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第2の発光素子は、第2の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第3の発光素子は、第3の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第4の発光素子は、第4の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第1の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第1の反射電極と接して第1の透明導電膜を有し、

前記第3の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第3のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第4の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第4のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記EL層は、青色発光を呈する第1の発光物質と、540nm以上580nm以下の範囲にスペクトルピークを有する発光を呈する第2の発光物質を有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離が540nm以上580nm以下の範囲にスペクトルピークを有する発光を相対的に強めるべく形成され、
前記半透過・半反射電極は、前記EL層の端部を覆って形成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 第1の発光素子と、第2の発光素子と、第3の発光素子と、第4の発光素子とを有し、
前記第1の発光素子は、第1の反射電極と、EL層と、半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第2の発光素子は、第2の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第3の発光素子は、第3の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第4の発光素子は、第4の反射電極と、前記EL層と、前記半透過・半反射電極とを有し、
前記第1の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第1の反射電極と接して第1の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第2の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第2の反射電極と接して第2の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第3の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第3の反射電極と接して第3の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記EL層との間には前記第4の反射電極と接して第4の透明導電膜を有し、
前記第1の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第1のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第2の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第2のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第3の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第3のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記第4の発光素子の前記半透過・半反射電極側には、第4のカラーフィルタを有し、
前記EL層は、青色発光を呈する第1の発光物質と、黄色発光を呈する第2の発光物質とを有し、
前記第4の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離が黄色発光を相対的に強めるべく形成され、
前記半透過・半反射電極は、前記EL層の端部を覆って形成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一において、
前記第1の発光素子は、赤色発光を呈し、
前記第2の発光素子は、緑色発光を呈し、
前記第3の発光素子は、青色発光を呈することを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか一において、
前記第1の発光物質は、420nm以上480nm以下の範囲にスペクトルピークを有することを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか一において、
前記第2の発光物質は540nm以上580nm以下の範囲にスペクトルピークを有することを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか一において、
前記第1の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離は赤色発光を相対的に強めるべく形成され、
前記第2の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離は緑色発光を相対的に強めるべく形成され、
前記第3の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離は青色発光を相対的に強めるべく形成されることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置を用いた電子機器。
- 請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置を用いた照明装置。
