Abstract
【解決手段】表示装置は、第1ベース基板、第2ベース基板、複数の画素、第1偏光子及び第2偏光子を含む。前記第1ベース基板は複数の透過領域と前記複数の透過領域に隣接する遮光領域とを含む。前記複数の画素は、前記複数の透光領域に各々重畳する。前記第1偏光子及び第2偏光子は、前記複数の画素を介して離隔されて配置される。前記第1偏光子と前記第2偏光子との中で少なくともいずれか1つは、複数の格子パターンを各々含む複数の光学変換層を含む。

Claims (15)
- 複数の透過領域と前記複数の透過領域に隣接する遮光領域とを含む第1ベース基板と、
前記第1ベース基板と離隔されて配置された第2ベース基板と、
前記第1ベース基板と前記第2ベース基板との間に配置され、前記複数の透過領域に各々重畳する複数の画素と、
前記複数の画素を介して離隔されて配置された第1偏光子及び第2偏光子と、を含み、
前記第1偏光子と前記第2偏光子との中で少なくともいずれか1つは互いに異なる層上に配置されている複数の光学変換層を含み、前記複数の光学変換層の各々は複数の格子パターンを含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記第1偏光子は、
複数の第1格子パターンを含む第1光学変換層と、
前記複数の第1格子パターンと実質的に同一の方向に延長され、実質的に同一の方向に羅列された複数の第2格子パターンを含む第2光学変換層と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1光学変換層及び前記第2光学変換層は、前記第1ベース基板に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1光学変換層及び前記第2光学変換層は、前記第1ベース基板を介して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1光学変換層及び前記第2光学変換層は、前記第1ベース基板の一側に配置され、
前記第1光学変換層及び前記第2光学変換層は、前記第1ベース基板の一面と前記複数の画素との間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1光学変換層は、前記複数の第1格子パターンを含み、前記複数の透過領域に重畳する偏光部及び前記遮光領域をカバーする反射部を含み、
前記第2光学変換層は、前記複数の第2格子パターンを含み、前記複数の透過領域に重畳する偏光部を含む請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の第1格子パターンと前記複数の第2格子パターンとの各々は50nm乃至150nmの高さを有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数の第1格子パターンの中で隣接する2つの格子パターン間の前記羅列された方向の離隔距離と、前記隣接する2つの格子パターンの中で1つの格子パターンの前記羅列された方向の幅の合計をピッチとして定義し、前記ピッチに対する前記1つの格子パターンの前記羅列された方向の幅は、0.3:1乃至0.6:1であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数の第2格子パターンは、前記複数の第1格子パターンの前記ピッチと同一のピッチを有し、前記第2格子パターンは、前記第1格子パターンの前記幅と同一の幅を有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数の第1格子パターン及び前記複数の第2格子パターンの各々は、金属層及び前記金属層をカバーする金属酸化物層を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1偏光子は、
前記複数の第1格子パターンと実質的に同一の方向に延長され、実質的に同一の方向に羅列された複数の第3格子パターンを含む第3光学変換層をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第2偏光子は、延伸型偏光フィルムであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2偏光子は、
複数の第3格子パターンを含む第3光学変換層と、
前記複数の第3格子パターンと同一の方向に延長され、同一の方向に羅列された複数の第4格子パターンを含む第4光学変換層と、を含み、
前記第3光学変換層及び前記第4光学変換層は、前記第2ベース基板に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記遮光領域に重畳するブラックマトリックスと、
前記複数の透過領域に重畳する複数のカラーフィルターと、をさらに含む請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 複数の透過領域と前記複数の透過領域に隣接する遮光領域を含む第1ベース基板と、
前記第1ベース基板と離隔されて配置された第2ベース基板と、
前記第1ベース基板と前記第2ベース基板との間に配置され、前記複数の透過領域に各々重畳する複数の画素と、
前記複数の画素を介して離隔されて配置されている第1偏光子及び第2偏光子と、を含み、
前記第1偏光子は、複数の第1格子パターンを含む第1光学変換層及び前記複数の第1格子パターンと実質的に同一の方向に延長され、実質的に同一の方向に羅列された複数の第2格子パターンを含み、前記第1光学変換層と他の層上に配置されている第2光学変換層を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。
