Abstract
【解決手段】フィルター媒体はフィルターの白血球減少能力およびフィルター媒体の白血球との相互作用を増強するコーティングを含んでいる。このコーティングは好ましくは劣化なしに高圧水蒸気滅菌による滅菌に耐えることができる生体適合性ポリマー組成物である。コーティングは非極性基のセグメントおよび極性基のセグメントまたはイオン性基のセグメントを含む分子鎖を有するポリマー組成物である。

Claims (37)
- a)外表面を有するフィルターシート;および
b)前記外表面の少なくとも一部上のコーティングを含み;
前記コーティングは非極性基のセグメントと、極性基のセグメントまたはイオン性基のセグメントの少なくとも一つを含んでいる分子鎖を有するポリマー組成物を含んでいるフィルター媒体。 - 前記非極性基のセグメントはオレフィンを含む請求項1のフィルター媒体。
- 前記極性基のセグメントは酢酸ビニルを含んでいる請求項1または2のフィルター媒体。
- 前記イオン性基のセグメントはアクリル酸を含んでいる請求項1または2のフィルターエレメント。
- 前記オレフィンはエチレンである請求項1ないし4のいずれかのフィルター媒体。
- 前記オレフィンは疎水性である請求項1ないし5のいずれかのフィルター媒体。
- 前記フィルターシートは溶融吹きつけ不織多孔質膜である請求項1ないし6のいずれかのフィルター媒体。
- 前記ポリマー組成物はエチレンと酢酸ビニルを含んでいる請求項1ないし3および5ないし7のいずれかのフィルター媒体。
- 前記酢酸ビニルはポリマー組成物重量の約5%と75%の間を占める請求項8のフィルター媒体。
- 前記酢酸ビニルはポリマー組成物重量の約40%を占める請求項8または9のフィルター媒体。
- 複数の前記フィルターシートを含んでいるパッドである請求項1ないし10のいずれかのフィルター媒体。
- 前記ポリマー組成物はオレフィンとアクリル酸のポリマーを含んでいる請求項1,2,4ないし7および11のいずれかのフィルター媒体。
- 前記アクリル酸は前記ポリマー組成物重量の約5%と50%の間を占める請求項12のフィルター媒体。
- 前記アクリル酸は前記ポリマー組成物重量の約20%を占める請求項12または13のフィルター媒体。
- 前記ポリマー組成物は前記分子鎖が前記非極性基および前記極性基またはイオン性基のそれぞれの繰り返しセグメントを含んでいる非ランダムポリマーである請求項1ないし14のいずれかのフィルター媒体。
- a)内部チャンバーと、前記チャンバーと連通する入口ポートおよび出口ポートを区画するハウジング;および
b)前記チャンバー内のフィルター媒体;
を備える生物学的流体を処理するための濾過装置であって;
前記フィルター媒体は、非極性のセグメントと、そして極性基のセグメントまたは非イオン性基のセグメントを含む分子鎖を有するポリマー組成物のコーティングを含んでいる濾過装置。 - 前記フィルター媒体は複数のシートを含み、前記複数のシートの少なくとも一つが前記コーティングを有する請求項16の濾過装置。
- 前記非極性セグメントはオレフィンを含む請求項16または17の濾過装置。
- 前記極性基のセグメントは酢酸ビニルを含む請求項16ないし18のいずれかの濾過装置。
- 前記イオン性基のセグメントはアクリル酸を含む請求項16ないし18のいずれかの濾過装置。
- 前記フィルター媒体は溶融吹きつけ不織多孔質膜を含む請求項16ないし20のいずれかの濾過装置。
- a)非極性基のセグメントおよび極性基のセグメントまたはイオン性基のセグメントを含んでいるポリマー組成物の選択された量を溶剤に溶解することによりコーティング材料を生成し;そして
b)多孔性材料の少なくとも一部を前記コーティング材料と接触させることを含む、白血球減少フィルターの製造方法。 - 前記極性基のセグメントは酢酸ビニルを含む請求項22の方法。
- 前記溶剤はヘキサンと2−ブタノンの混合液である請求項22または23の方法。
- 2−ブタノンの容積に対するヘキサンの容積の比は約1:4である請求項24の方法。
- 前記溶剤中の前記ポリマー組成物の濃度は約0.1%と2.0%(w/v)の間である請求項22ないし25のいずれかの方法。
- 前記溶剤中の前記ポリマー組成物の濃度は約0.14%と1.6%(w/v)の間である請求項22ないし26のいずれかの方法。
- 前記イオン性基のセグメントはアクリル酸を含んでいる請求項22の方法。
- 前記溶剤はヘキサンとエタノールの混合液である請求項28の方法。
- エタノールの容積に対するヘキサンの容積の比は約1:1である請求項29の方法。
- 前記溶剤中の前記ポリマー組成物の濃度は約0.1%と0.1%と2.0%(w/v)の間である請求項28ないし30のいずれかの方法。
- 前記溶剤中の前記ポリマー組成物の濃度は約0.06%と1.0%(w/v)の間である請求項28ないし31のいずれかの方法。
- 前記多孔質材料は溶融吹きつけ不織多孔質膜である請求項22ないし32のいずれかの方法。
- 前記溶融吹きつけ不織多孔質膜は実質的にポリオレフィンからなる請求項33の方法。
- 前記被覆した材料を環境条件下または上昇温度において乾燥することをさらに含む請求項22ないし34のいずれかの方法。
